3 pointsSoooo I've just decided: This terrain, once finished, will not be released with a campaign. Sorry folks, but the amount of work already put into this is way too much for an old man like me. I love this particular corner of the world and that's why I've put so much effort into this terrain. But a campaign is (currently) beyond my limits...timewise. So pls stay tuned and hopefully this baby will be released in the next weeks,..once I've crushed all the bugs. One thing I can already say..it will have quite an impact on your PCs...more than 500 separate tiles (531 currently), 553 target areas with a total of 9705 targets...and still adding

2 pointsHello gents, please find attached below the latest data inis for the big update pack of Geezer's aircraft, posted several posts above. The data inis are for the Nieu. 24, 24bis, Nieu. 23, 23 Lewis, also the Nieu. 17, and 17 Lewis. These files have improved, more subtle performance at different altitudes under the "engine" section - by mistake the files weren't included with the pack posted above (but slightly older files with simpler altitude performance data). All the other aircraft have their latest data inis already included. Happy flying, Von S

1 pointA-3 came with the 60 round drums, A-4/A-5 with higher capacity drums. The size of the drums was the same (diameter), only the length was increased by 2mm(!) The trick was to use a different spring system which made more space inside. There were several boost systems for BMW 801 Fw 190's. I would have to pull out the manuals, so heres from memory.. - increased emergency power - this was a modification to the boost pressure - special emergency power + with additional fuel injection or + with MW 50 ~

1 pointThanks Otto! I left the outboard guns '"not ejecting" Funny thing, the ETC centerline rack is covering the (not painted on) ports where the MG17's would drop their casing. Not a big deal, at any rate! (just aft of the wheel wells) I used: MG-151 -- 250 RPG MG-17 -- 900 RPG MG-FF -- 55 RPG digging through all by FW-190 books. The hardest thing was finding the fuel tankage. It also appears the A-4 did NOT have MW-50 boost?

1 pointHow about it? Still a long way to go, but it's a start... Next, I'll be adding airports/airbases in Austria, Greece and Corsica, France (maybe something neutral in Switzerland too). This is the Cold War version of the terrain. A separate one will be made for the 1990s Balkan conflict and beyond. Speaking of the Balkan conflict, Udbina Air Base had been theatre of a NATO air mission. However, I've been unable to find any info about the construction year of said air base. I doubt that Udbina Air Base already existed back in 1963 (the Cold War version of the terrain spans from 1963 to 1991). If anyone is interested in doing a research about it, it'd help greatly. I have found this link which claims that Udbina Air Base existed before 1990, but no precise dates about its history during Cold War: http://www.forgottenairfields.com/croatia/lika-senj/udbina-s68.html

1 pointBSFC=0.00280 TW value from A-1H/J And IIRC this value is used in most(?) TW piston engine planes.. Info: Fw 190's with MG FF/M in the outer wings, these guns did not eject empty casings (collected them inside a wing compartment) The A-4/A-5 (if equipped with MG FF/M) used 90-rounds drums instead of the 60-rounds drums.

1 pointcheck the amount of fuel in the tank(s) (there are actually 2 in the lower fusealge, or as used here, 1 large one of more-or-less correct gallonage front tank: 232 lt. rear tank: 293 lt. easier to just use one total gallon numbers (literage?) check BFSC also (iirc) - which controls fuel consumption. I have all the hit boxes done; just have some final testing. Took substantially LESS than a half hour to do them. AND correct the muzzle flash and ejected shell locations.
