Still working on Republican Br.19s. Casa built Br.19s used more canvas in the fuselage, positioned the steps in a different place and only put them on the left side. Three squadrons under development - 22 Grupo, 23 Grupo and Alas Rojas Squadron.

I will be more than happy to make the model, but I have to make these first: BTR-60 BTR-70 as I have completed the BTR-50, and I would like to make them in order.

Updated a few things in the cockpit and external LOD. Changes in loadouts, main Data, some small changes on skins. Some new sounds. Generally fixed a lot of small things. Added Ravenclaw's ALQ-164 pod. It is part of the main aircraft lod. Thank you! You can download only patch 2.0 if you have already the file from V1. Although I recommend downloading the whole pack again - some extra skins and decals to match Plus.

Found more interesting stuff in Desert Prelude Early Clashes that reinforces the overall feel of outdated equipment used because nothing else was available - truly a "forgotten battle." First photo shows 3 RAAF squadron at Helwan on 11 November, 1940 - still using fixed pitch wooden propellers. Second and third shots show Gladiators with scruffy finish due to intense desert sun. Third shot shows FO Linnard of 89 Sqdn on 27 September 1940 still using ring and bead sight. Fourth shot shows Dragon Rapide and Bristol Bombay transport/bomber. When used as bombers, between one and six Bombays would raid Tobruk most every night. The ancient Vickers Valencia transport continued in service until 1941. Final shot of Hawker Hart K4901 still in service in 1941.

View File AV-8B Harrier II Plus - SF2. ver.2019 AV-8B Harrier II Plus / Radar This is my humble rework of old AV-8B. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) A fake pilot is needed to run this mod. It is designed for and works only in SF2 series. Around 3 years ago - January 2016 - KillerBee approach me with the possibility of updating bobrock's harrier, and preparing Night Attack version. After some time, we had file ready for upload. Small changes here and there corrected a few things. And great skins by Killerbee. And then KillerBee disappeared from CA forum. Honestly, up to now, I have no contact with him. last - 4th May 2016. So harrier stayed on drive waiting for his comeback. But .... I couldn't resist...And iI started to mod this again. Since I had no KB skin templates I had to do all new skins...and more. So now I am here...My standard AV-8B Harrier is already available for download same as Night Attack model. Both models recently updated, New cockpit and a whole set of new skins and decals on whole remodeled 'old' Harrier. - there is no single part of an original model that hasn't be touched/remodeled etc. First of all...If you want to count rivets...Do not. Many things could be done other way....but I did it my way. So you have to bear with it. All skins are in 4096x4096 format. So you can easily resize down. Generally, it is just a few skins. If you have problems running this in game. Resize skins to lower resolutions Skins and decals are made to match most of the skins from Night Attack model pack. All VMA squadrons are equipped with a mix of both NA and radar model. Decals are based on my and KillerBee research. All serials are correct for the Night Attack version of Harrier II. Not always (but mostly) correct for a unit/year of service etc. But as always aircraft are rotating between units so its hard to track them down really. Big Thanks to Ravenclaw - He send me file with new ALQ-164 pod. Now it is part of the upload. For some reason, I have added weapons that are present in Loadout.ini. AIM-120 is specific for AV-8B via specific station code. To have proper year of apearance. Animations: 1= canopy open - close 4= refueling probe - beware of a speed limit 3= night vision mode - not really helping but it is there - inside and outside animation. ************************************************************************************ You can exlplore ini files for some additional features like in cockpit "FLIR" feed on HUD . AAQ-28 can be loaded only on station number 5 and centerline - in real - centerline come to use later and some units (VMAT) also moded wiring for use on other pylons. Nut in this mod only station 5 and 4 can carry AAQ-28. AIM-120 can be loaded only on stations 2 and 6. There are two stations for Intrepid Tiger II pod. In future. ECM also activates RWR on digital display indicator - even if ECM pod is not loaded. If you have my AV-8B Harrier already - some files are same so simply overwrite. for proper sound work you should add these lines into soundlist.ini SoundFileXXX=USMComm_1 SoundFileXXX=Equalizer [Equalizer] Priority=NORMAL Looped=TRUE NumBuffers=2 3DSound=TRUE DopplerEffect=FALSE MaxDist=1000.000000 MinDist=100.000000 InsideConeAngle=360 OutsideConeAngle=360 ConeOutsideVolume=100 SoundFileXXX=USMComm_1 [USMComm_1] Priority=NORMAL 3DSound=FALSE NumBuffers=1 Looped=TRUE FrequencyControl=FALSE ************************************************************************************ Credits. Me - whole sort of strange things - model-re-model, new cockpit, skins, decals, ini files etc. Ravenclaw - BRU-42 ITER models. ALQ-164 model, weapons. AAQ-28 Pod- I don't remember who made this model - all credits to him and thank you. 331Killerbee - ideas, good words, research primary work on skins and decals, work on ini files, loadouts, effects etc. Crusaders - help with avionics ini. Sounds taken from sources offering free sound samples. bobrock- the original first version of the standard model - Thank you and thanks to KillerBee. Thanks to a lot of people who helped me with this mod...Stratos, Crusader, Geary, gurru, Soulfreak,76.IAP-Blackbird, and others. Thank you all CA users. Yes, I know its huge - but I couldn't make it smaller. Be sure to download all parts. Enjoy. I enjoyed it much when making this pack. Expect unexpected. Report bugs. Suggest changes. More stuff: "The first North African Campaign was a very interesting one for several reasons. North Africa was Italy’s main front in what was later called the “Parallel War”, i.e. the period during which Italy tried to fight the Commonwealth autonomously, without the help of the German Armed Forces, and thus a period during which achievements and defeats were due only to Italian merits or mistakes. This period is one of the very few where historians can try to assess the real effectiveness of the Italian war effort, without being confused by the presence of German forces, and this is obviously true also in the field of air warfare. With the Battle of Britain absorbing practically all the best resources, the Commonwealth forces on the North African front had to rely mostly on second line machines, sometimes already put out of service at home. This, together with the Italian trust in the biplane formula, meant that the Western Desert was (together with Greece and East Africa) the last battlefield in the history of air warfare where biplanes confronted each other. Needless to say, pilots of these archaic aircraft were by no means inferior in determination or skill to their colleagues fighting in Spitfires or Messerschmitts over the English Channel. Many of the most important Italian and Commonwealth pilots of the conflict drew first blood during this campaign, notably amongst them the top Italian and RAF aces of WW II, Teresio Martinoli and Thomas Pattle." Gustavsson, Hakan. Desert Prelude: Early Clashes. Erwin Rommel, the Desert Fox, knew a thing or two about armies. He described the Italian army as "good soldiers, bad officers." 1940 drew to a close with the Italians having suffered disastrous losses, prompting the Germans to send a couple of mobile divisions to prop up the Italian survivors. The spring of 1941 ushered in a new phase in the desert war, one that most buffs are familiar with. But it all began with CR42s dueling with Gladiators over the Libyan/Egyptian border in 1940.....

It happens, sometime. And I don't have a fix for that (so don't bother to read this post lol) Reducing the mission radius is some kind of cheating, but it would work. I would let things as they are, because it's a bit realistic from a certain point of view. Same as when you're on a CAP mission, set the course to base because you're bingo fuel and then the bad guys finally show up (because they're bad guys after all). It's not perfect but it spices things up, to scramble for an intercept and having to decide if you can make it or not. What to do ? RTB / mission failed ? Going for it anyway, knowing you will run out of fuel ? Tell the wingmen to RTB and proceeding on your own (because you can land at any friendly airbase you should find) ? All of that is a consequence of the "Dead is dead" gamer philosophy xD Sorry for the long useless reading, I don't have a fix.

Bad guys during operation Askari (1983): I made several modifcations to SpudKnocker's campaign : No Mig-23ML (they were not operationnal at this time accoding to Tom Cooper) No SA-8 neither Added some Mig-21 PFM I could also have added Su-20M (very close to Su17M3), which were operationnal from 1982. Of course, my date are only hypothesis as we know very few things about the Angolan Air Force at this time, let alone which aircraft or unit actually fought at that time. We have better information for operation Modular
