3 pointsLatest Spad XII data ini tweaks included below, also a nice ambient sound for aerodromes...uses the "TruckLoop" entry (simply drop the sound into your Sounds folder). Further reduced rolling coefficients for the Spad XII landing gear and improved elevator down movement slightly, for more realism during take-off...it still requires some dancing on the rudder but it should be slightly more manageable to bring the tail up now once you pass about 60-70 kph. The Spad XII was probably the most difficult of the Spad single-seaters to take off and land...only given to the best pilots. (Will roll all of this eventually into a ver. 10.0 of the FM update packs; included data ini has service dates for the eastern front...copy and paste over service dates for the western front from my relevant theater folders in the ver. 9.7 FM pack if you like - the eastern front used Spad XII types in small numbers, but no Spad XIII types were there, as far as I know - Crawford may pitch in with more details if necessary.) Happy flying, Von S EDIT: File removed, will be included in mini ver. 9.9 update of the FM pack under the relevant thread (this one).

DCS: Fw 190 A-8 Available for Pre-Order Last week we were delighted to announce the start of the DCS: Fw 190 A-8 Anton pre-order. Save now and save 20% until the Anton is launched in June 2019. Pre-order the Fw 190 A-8 now and save 20% off from DCS e-shop. Designed for the German Luftwaffe by famed aircraft designer Kurt Tank in the late-1930s, the Fw 190 was the backbone of the Luftwaffe in both fighter and attack bomber roles. Powered by a large radial engine, the A version of the Focke-Wulf 190 was superior in many ways to the Bf 109s and Spitfires at the time of its introduction. In fact, this led to the development of the Mk.IX version of the Spitfire. The Spitfire LF Mk.IX and the Fw 190 A-8 make excellent counterparts for DCS World. The Fw 190 later evolved into the Fw 190 D-9, also available on DCS World. Many of the Luftwaffe’s aces racked up their impressive kill counts in the Fw 190 A due to its impressive fire power, excellent low to medium altitude performance, durability, and ease of flying. It saw action on both the eastern and western fronts where it was both respected and feared by allied pilots. Armament included two fuselage-mounted 13 mm MG 131 machine guns and four wing-mounted MG 151/20E 20 mm cannons. The aircraft could also be loaded with unguided rockets and bombs. The A-8 version of the Fw 190 entered production in February 1944, and it was powered by a BMW 801 D-2 radial engine. In addition to excellent low- and medium-altitude performance, the engine was also very rugged. Along with the F-8 version, it also had thicker armor around the engine. The engine also received the C3 injection system that provided an emergency boost of 1,980 PS in short durations. Key features of the DCS: Fw 190 A-8: Unmatched flight physics that allow you to truly feel what it's like to fly this legend. Highly detailed, six-degrees-of-freedom (6 DOF) cockpit. Interact with cockpit controls with your mouse. Accurate Fw 190 A-8 model, squadron markings, and weapons. Detailed modelling the Fw 190 A-8 instruments, weapons, engine, radios, fuel, and electrical systems. Battle the Spitfire LF Mk.IX and P-51D Mustang in single and multiplayer games. DCS: I-16 by OctopusG Available on Steam Purchase on Steam here! The I-16 was a Soviet, monoplane fighter developed during the 1930s inter-war years. It was innovative for its time with a low-wing cantilever design and retractable landing gear. It was the USSR’s primary fighter at the start of World War 2 where it primarily battled the Bf 109 Emil. In addition to the Second World War, the I-16 was also used in the Spanish Civil War and the second Sino-Japanese War. The I-16 type 24 was powered by an M-63 radial engine that gave it a top speed of 462 kph. The aircraft was armed with four 7.62 ShKAS machine guns. In total, 7,000 single seat versions of this famous fighter were built. The I-16 is a fun and interesting aircraft and further grows our stable of warbirds. This aircraft is particularly interesting when flown in virtual reality. Key features of DCS: I-16 by OctopusG include: Detailed animated 3D fighter model. True interactive cockpit providing 6DoF. Realistic simulation of aircraft systems including electric and fuel flow system, engine system and lighting facilities. Realistic simulation of unique mechanical landing gear retraction system. High-density textures of the cockpit and external 3D model providing reflection and bump maps. Set of authentic liveries. Sincerely, The Eagle Dynamics Team

2 pointsGloster Meteor F.Mk.IV - No.3 Squadron, 150 Wing, RAF Second Tactical Air Force, June 1944 In the Spring of 1944 Acting Wing Commander Roland 'Bee' Beamont was asked to form the first Hawker Tempest Wing in time for the invasion of Europe. However, industrial action at the Hawker factory meant that insufficient numbers of Tempest aircraft were available to equip the planned three-squadron wing so the Gloster Meteor F.Mk.IV was chosen to serve alongside the Spitfire LF.IX's of No.56 and No.486 squadrons within the newly formed 150 Wing under the operational control of the Second Tactical Air Force. No.3 Squadron were declared operational on May 30th, 1944 flying the new version of the Gloster Meteor and were in action on D-day when Beamont's Wing encountered Bf109's over the invasion beaches shooting down three of them without loss. The two remaining Spitfire squadrons were replaced by Meteor's during June and July. 150 Wing were also downing V-1 flying bombs over Kent and by August Beamont's Wing had accounted for 638 V-1's. 1 pointWe have several NATO medium transports, but AFAIK no soviet side medium transport apart from the ThirdWire Antonov 12. So my request is in order to see a Antonov26/32 modeled for SF2 If possible. Why the 26/32? Cause is in service or served in tns of different air forces around the world, have seen combat in several conlficts and is also a active airliner Antonov 32 (cannot find good view for the 26). In fact same plane different engines. This is for the 26. Some pics of 26/32. Hope one of our modelers can give it a go.

1 pointI wrote in my last post: The WCS does not allow to fire a weapon to a "own" plane. The pilot can override the WCS only by active handling. Exactly this is descriped in the russian article. The WCS blocked the firing of the missile. The ground controller gave the order to attack. The plane crew refused the order and asked for repeat. The ground controller gave the order again. Then the plane crew override the safety mechanism of WCS and opened the fire. It was the fault of the ground controller. This is a typical case of "shit happens". During my military time i shot on an own T-55AM2 with a RPG-18, because the tank wanted to drove a shortcut. And this shortcut was exactly though our RPG shooting range. We usually shot on old tanks which were mounted of railway tracks, what looked very realistic. When the tank appeared the "Aufführende", the second guy, gave the order to shoot. I fired, hit the tank on turret, but luckily the addon armour was thick enough to protect the crew. Its typical military "shit hapens".

1 pointNot really. They most likely tend to spawn more on Naval terrains, alongside the AWACS aircraft; with no fleets on the terrain, certain mission types are surely avoided by the engine, such as Cruise_Missile (I might be wrong though). Other than that, stock terrains have no limitations on allowed mission types. Mission types can be limited for both Blue and Red side. This allowed some of my custom terrains not to CTD anymore. If a certain mission won't work (due to missing large runways for bombers, etc.) I disable that mission type. NavalMap=True affects single missions only! You can have a NavalMap=False, yet you can create a working Naval Campaign for it via NavalCampaign=True in the campaign's .ini files. That's great because in campaigns you have to specify the coordinates of fleets on the terrain. So even when a terrain has limited water areas, you can have fully working fleets not sailing over land. Single missions are "broken" when there is not much water space. So I usually set NavalMap=False. Naval maps are meant for huge fights between carrier groups. Sorry for the little off-topic. Keep us posted with your findings, Crusader!

1 pointThe Fokker DrI did not impress much the French Spad pilots. They used Boom and Zoom tactics to take advantage of their superior speed. Though sometimes they used other tactics, but in those case, the sanction was fast to come !

1 pointIn ini file there is entry release delay. So animstion will start with delay. Also you can delay animation in max by seting animation from late frames...like 3 or 4, anim time sets how long animation is taking to full 10 frames..

1 pointA couple of screenies to refresh this thread...was trying out some of the Entente aircraft in ROFue recently and, similar to WOFFue, I think my two favorites are the SPAD VII and the Tripehound (for some reason the Nieup. 17 seems a bit too fragile in ROF and I've never been much of a Camel jockey to explore those further) - but the SPAD VII is wonderful even against the Dr.1, and at low-level too - simply use power to extend and climb gently, and come back for another slashing attack. Works well most of the time in the 150 hp SPAD VII, should work even better in the 180 hp version. Von S
