1 pointAn other user of the Mi-24, which i forgot to mention, was Vietnam. Vietnam got the Mi-24A when the soviets replaced their Mi-24A by Mi-24D. So the Mi-24 was not used during Vietnam War, but in the cambodian campaign against the Red Khmer regime after 1979.

This aircraft mod represents Dassault's what-if Mirage 4000M naval figthter and its dual seat M2 variant in the French Navy service. This package comes with 2 skin sets for each variant, 2 squadron specific for M (15 planes), and 2 sets for single squadron (6 planes) for M2. This model is meant for SF2 games only, SF1 variants will be uploaded at the SF1 section. Install is the regular dropping the contents in their respective places. In case you have the previous variants you can skip the overwrite prompt of weapons, effects and flight folder contents as those items are identical. Please note: The model can be quite heavy on FPS in large formations on weaker machines, so if required, either resize skin files or use lower lod(_nd) as lod1. The model uses the general french weapons, either as part of weapon packs or the Mirage 2000 family. Important: The M2 variant comes with 2 types of cockpit, the basic setup will use a simple pit that has only the pilots cabin instrumented. The other is a fully modeled front and rear compartment, in which you want to fly you should activate the proper line in the AC's.ini file. CockpitDataFile=Mirage4000M2_Cockpit.ini <---- basic setup ;CockpitDataFile=Mirage4000M2_Cockpit_full1.ini <------ front seat ;CockpitDataFile=Mirage4000M2_Cockpit_full2.ini <------ rear seat Be aware - the piloting seat position can not be changed during/in game, so chose wisely! Make sure to read the manual included with the package. ---------------------- Creators of these Aircraft mods as members of CombatAce site: Original 3D work: Cocas Aircraft 3d update and additional changes: Logan4 Cockpit 3d work: Logan4 Aircraft FM: Cliff7600 Aircraft avionics: Loborojo, Cliff7600, logan4 Skin files and decals: Flogger23, Cliff7600, logan4, loborojo Cockpit files: Logan4, Cliff7600 Thanks to Crusader for additional brochure files Big thanks to members of CombatAce for helping and answering our questions and in sorting out some of the issues we got while creating this mod. 1 pointI tried to improve some of the effects with Stary's Hollywood pack but, unfortunately, two TGA files are missing for an ini effect file. Maybe one of you have them ? Thank you in advance -AnimatedRedGlow.tga -shock.tga PS - I tried to write to him asking for hekp but, unfortunately, his page is set to not receive messages.

1 pointThis set of planes is a nice one. Its not to fictitious. The MiG design bureau made development models of the Ye-8 144 plane. The Ye-8 itself was built in two prototypes. Unfortunatly the soviet leaders decided to cancel this plane and supported the Ye-23 swing wing plane. The Ye-8 family could have been the top fighter of the timeframe. The prototyp Ye-8 was as agile as the F-16A, but 10 years earlier. Logan made an outstanding job to bring a "what if" Ye-8 plane family in the SF2 world. Good job!!!

1 pointI'm running win 10, 64 with an nvidia GTX 1060. WOV ran at 10 fps. I then read about the HDR Mod 1.01A, installed it and I now get 58 fps (the numbers flash because they can't display higher). I installed the game on an XP machine first, then copied it to the win 10, because the win 10 wouldn't recognise the disc. I run compatibility win XP service pack 2 and run as administrator. It works for WOV and WOE. Sometimes I get a crash or freeze after a mission, but the important thing is that I get to fly the mission. I tried it on a newer 16 series Nvidia and it did not work at all. So the GT 1060 is the graphic card of choice.

1 pointJW, I feel your pain! I used to play this game at med graphics and it was smooth as silk on a weak laptop. Then, I started playing it on a gaming desktop system I paid $2000 for. It was still outstanding! My problems started when I installed the Oct2008 patch. Well, I had to make some adjustments and I couldn't use the high settings for the water. I was running it well with Win7 64 and switched to Win8.1. It was still pretty good. But, when that Win10 Anniversary update hit, it was like 4 frames per second. After struggling for months, I put the game away. Now, I just installed WOV on this computer which I found in the dumpster. It's a Dell OptiPlex 3010. It has an Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3470 CPU @ 3.20GHz, 3201 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s) and 16 GB Memory (Crucial). I just upgraded the memory from 4 GB as I forgot about doing the upgrade earlier because it was just so much faster than the previous ASUS CM5571 with an Intel Pentium E5400 / 2.7 Dual Core processor and 6 GB memory. I'm running a 1TB SSD and I have an AMD Radeon HD 5570 Graphics card with 1 GB Core Clock at 650 Mhz Memory Clock at 667 Mhz. Absolutely AMAZING graphics performance! I am running in Compatibility Mode Windows XP (Service Pack 3) with video resolution 1920x1080 32 bit. There are absolutely no studders or jaggies. I can't wait to try the SF2 Sims. Then, I installed the Oct2008 patch, and it started to just crawl again! I don't know what it is. Perhaps too many individual trees for the terrain. It's worth noting that after the patch, there became available a setting for aspect ratio of the display. I should've tried to set that back to the 4:3 to see if that worked but I didn't think of it. I've re-installed the base sim for now and will enjoy it like this. No YAP! The sim is still very fun in its base form. BTW, I'm running in XP SP3 Compatibility mode. The only issues I still have are a sluggish mouse and an occasional CTD. I'm good with that. I'm hoping the SF2 Win10 works well. Robert "Qwick" Wicker
