5 pointsHello, Last week with a 300mm camera I took a photo of a MQ-9 Reaper in flight over my parent's home. They live in the south of Bordeaux city between the Cazaux and Mont-de-Marsan Air Bases. There’s a shooting range nearby. I was in vacation and this little event was a surprise to me. This UAV was flying at medium altitude around 18h00 on 05.31.2022. I think this is one of the 12 Reapers belonging to the Armée de l'Air... Below several photos. Best regards, P.

3 pointsHello everyone! Today report: A-6s and EA-6s are being worked on. Almost everything is completed, along with cockpit. I owe a big thank to HomeFries for his excellent A-6s and EA-6s superpack. He poured a lot of passions into this. Being a big fan of his mods, I am implementing the ini files from his pack. A-6s and EA-6s cockpit are from SF2V Air & Ground War Expansion Packn (Malibu43 & Eburger68) and A-6 "Flight of the Intruder" Editional (allenjb42 & Monty CZ & Column5). So far, EA-6B pilot's seat position are being tweaked and adjusted. It is looking good so far It turns out that EA-6B from SF2 does not have canopy opening/closing animation. At least, the wing folding animation are still available! Eagle114th

2 pointsHey Hey I've seen many people having issues with ODS30AE mod about CTDs Black textures and cockpits overall bad FPS and long load times Heres somethings i did to sort of improve my FPS so far and I've not had any CTDs or black textures since and loading times seem a bit faster :D This here can be found in FlightEngine.ini in the flight folder change these settings so they're similar to mine and or do your own tweaks see what works best next up go to your Options ini in mod folder and change stuff as such hopefully this will improve your FPS fix the black textures and possibly fix most of your issues :PPPPPPPP (bonus tip:) If you want crispier PNG screenies scroll to the bottom of your options ini and change from JPG to PNG as such remember to not always go for ultimate settings, ODS30AE looks just as pretty on lower settings ;)

Just like my former mod, this is a shader that can change the original color of the game to make it close to the color of Green Phosphor Image Intensifier Tubes in reality. This one is more like AVS6/9 NOD usded by USAF during 1990s-2000s And Of course, it will also really brighten the brightness of the picture, highly recommond you guys use it with Realsky Environment Mod. =========================================================================================== Usage/ Read Me!!!!!: 1.put [TWPOSTPROCESS.FX] into your SF2's Flight folder【Back up recommonded】; 2.check your graphics option and make sure Effects Detail choosed for Unlimited; 3.make sure your Mission Start Time choosed for Night; 4.fly and control the night! This is a shader ,so even in day time the night vision effect will trun on,delete [TWPOSTPROCESS.FX] to return default. -

1 pointHello everyone! The project with MiG-19s and J-6s / F-6s has taken me longer than I thought. All of them are updated with new effects and changes to the weapons and other items in data ini files. An exported version of J-6C "Farmer-C" is renamed to F-6C "Farmer-C" for Egypt. The next version with updated MiG-15s / 17s / 19s and J-6s / F-6s will be released soon. Eagle114th

1 pointThe miG-19 engine is another tricky challenge to work on. One of the most challenging parts was looking for the pictures and videos of the MiG-19 afterburner. I kept wondering why there is no visible afterburner in old MiG-19 videos. The journey led me to MiG-19 book and DCS MiG-19P Manual. Then I saw this: I was surprised and I realized something. This engine is so unique and it does not show the afterburner because it is barely visible! Notice dark red glowing flame from the top picture? This led me to work on MiG-19 afterburner tga SF2 provided. This is the result for engine node (military thrust): Afterburner have intense red glowing for inner afterburner. As it exit engine nozzle, it becomes more orange color. MiG-19 is one of aircraft that actually uses afterburner TGA. And this time, 2D texture is tweaked to become more intense red in color. Now next step is to work on the wing vortex effects when doing hard turning. Eagle114th

1 pointHello everyone! Process report: MiG-15s and MIG-17s are completed. I am now working on MiG-19 before moving on to A-6s. MiG-17 effect is the most challenging project, especially when working on "flashing" afterburner effect as shown in this video: The afterburner effect is not exactly perfect but it is the best I could do after many hours of experimenting with effect. The effect with SF2 can be very frustrating, especially with transparent (alpha) background not working properly. From time to time, I usually see edge showing up non-alpha when it is supposed to have alpha (invisiblke color). Now with that behind me, as soon MiG-19 is done, the next version of beta wil be released. Please note, it is difficult to find the pictures of MiG-17 wing vortex and afterburner sound file. I am not giving up looking for it. It also appear there is no landing light featured in MiG15s, 17s and 19s. Please correct me if I am wrong though. Anyway, here is screenshots:

1 pointHello everyone! I have the next screenshots to share. While I was working on A-6, decided to give MiG a try first. This time, it is MiG-15. I had a lot of fun working on it. She is flyable now with new sounds, updated .ini, along with a new flight model from KAW campaign mod. After doing research on MiG-15, I am unable to find any information about MiG-15 landing lights. Turn out MiG-15 may not have landing gear. Please correct me if I am wrong though. MiG-15 is looking good so far. I am moving on to MiG-15bis and MiG-17s next before working on A-6s. MiG-17 afterburner is unique. it will be interesting to see how MiG-17 afterburner going on/off rapidly can be simulated in SF2.

1 pointThe only "Celebrity" Pilot he did was that of Bruno Statchel. Or at least the only one I am aware of.
-
1 pointI am improving the afterburner further with more tweaks and managed to get the afterburner to have more realistic light effects at night. No more afterburner acting like a flashlight anymore.

The Scandinavian Front J 35 Draken Flygvapnet Package By Team TSF & Friends The Saab 35 Draken (English: "Kite") was a Swedish fighter aircraft manufactured by Saab between 1955 and 1974. The Draken was built to replace the Saab J 29 Tunnan and, later, the fighter variant (J 32B) of the Saab 32 Lansen. The indigenous J 35 was an effective supersonic Cold War fighter that was also successfully exported to Austria, Denmark and Finland. Please note: We lack a proper "Early" Draken Model, and as such, the A/B versions are incorrect and use the same 3D Model as the 35D/F/J versions. If you already have the TSF Mega Package, you will only find minor edits, weapons as well as the J 35J to be new to this package. Hence, it is worth grabbing. Package Étendard The Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard The Dassault-Breguet Super Étendard (Étendard is French for "battle flag") is a French carrier-borne strike fighter aircraft designed by Dassault-Breguet for service with the French Navy. The aircraft is an advanced development of the Étendard IVM. The Super Étendard first flew in October 1974 and entered French service in June 1978. French Super Étendards have served in several conflicts such as the Kosovo war, the war in Afghanistan and the military intervention in Libya. The Super Étendard was also operated by Iraq and Argentina, who both deployed the aircraft during wartime. The Super Étendard was used by Iraq to attack oil tankers and merchant shipping in the Persian Gulf during the Iraq-Iran War. Argentina's use of the Super Étendard and the Exocet missile during the 1982 Falklands War led to the aircraft gaining considerable popular recognition. In French service, the Super Étendard was replaced by the Dassault Rafale in 2016. Special thanks to Paulopanz and Coupi. The Scandinavian Front Saab J-35S Draken Ilmavoimat Package By Team TSF & Friends The second and final new-build Draken order came from the Suomen Ilmavoimat (Finnish Air Force) in April 1970 for 12 all-weather interceptor 35XS (export Suomi) aircraft to be built in Finland by Valmet from Swedish "knock-down" parts. Seven J35Bs, stripped of all-weather avionics, were leased to the Ilmavoimat in 1972 as the 35BS in preparation for the new aircraft and were bought outright in 1976. The first new build aircraft were delivered in April 1974, the last of the new aircraft arrived in 1975 and all were designated 35S. Six ex-Swedish J35Fs (as the 35FS) and three Sk35Cs (as 35CSs) were bought in 1976 at the same time as the 35BS aircraft mentioned above, and another ex-J35F (18 aircraft) and Sk35C (2 aircraft) order followed in 1984. The arrival of two-seat trainers in Finland meant that pilot conversion could now take place "at home" instead of in Sweden. Initially Drakens were delivered to HävLLv 11 of the Hämeen Lennosto (Häme region Wing) based at Tikkakoski near Jyväskylä in central Finland. Later, HävLLv 11 relocated to the extreme north, taking up residence at the base of Rovaniemi within Lapin Lennosto (Lapland region Wing). In 1984 a second Draken unit was formed as HävLLv 21 of the Satakunnan Lennosto (Satakunta region Wing) at Pirkkala, near Tampere in south-western Finland. This package contains three aircraft. J 35BS, J 35S & J 35S 1990 refit. They are correctly armed with Swedish-built missiles. Have fun, Juhis! Installation: Go to your Mod Folders. For Windows 7/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Your Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. For Windows XP Users, it is usually in My Documents. Unzip the contents of the 7zip files into the mod folder of your choice. Allow any overwrites. The Scandinavian Front Saab F-35 Draken Flyvevabnet Package By Team TSF & Friends Danish export version: F-35 single-seat strike aircraft, The type was heavily modified to make it into a strike aircraft; compared to the Swedish versions the outer wings where completely redesigned, and the radar was missing. These aircraft could carry heavy bombs as well as Bullpup missiles, during the WDNS upgrade of the 1980s they received the ALQ-162 jammer a Marconi 900 Series HUD and a Ferranti LRMTS (laser rangefinder and marked target seeker) Package contains two aircraft, F 35 version and the upgraded F 35 (82) version. Both birds are nice strike aircraft, albeit more sluggish then the standard Draken. Have fun! Please note: Loadouts are not entirely accurate. I taken a few liberties with the 82 version, as sources was hard to find. Also, the air intake rail was usually reserved for the Bullpup but I reserved it for the quite exellent Sidewinder Rails made by Volker.
