14 pointsMy dear friend @Astore has been working on new Italian skins for the old F-35s by Klavs81, updated long ago by FastCargo for Strike Fighters 2. I offered him my help in finishing decals for those skins, but soon this side-project grew bigger and I've done lots of tweaks, improvements and fixes to the whole F-35 family. Here below a quick showcase of what has been done so far. Original cockpit by Klavs81; misplaced nodes for counters, MFD much affected by ambient lighting, missing HSI Reworked cockpit by Astore and yours truly; new textures, working HSI, moved various nodes, full-day white lighting for the sake of proper look to the MFDs Corrected hitboxes and collision points on all F-35 variants (created F-35I Adir variant for Israel) Reworked slimer colors (F-35B with Italian GRUPAER skin by Astore) Reworked afterburner effect Italian F-35A with 6° Stormo skin by Astore; integrated fake-pilot canopy mod as released by Coupi This is just a sneak peak. The cockpit 3d model is terribly dated, with just four functional MFDs (Radar, RWR, Map and HSI). Most of it is a plain texture, but thanks to Astore's work it is very nice now. I've also reworked other data bits, userlists, added more updated weapons (my thanks to @ravenclaw_007 for working on those) and so on. Is anyone interested in this? What I've shown is WIP so far. I need help in finishing it with decent quality. Mainly we need a rework of the avionics, revised flight models and eventually some help on additional skins and decals. Apart from few new skins, I've included and slightly reworked all skins made by @kblomkvist and @simonmiller416 for the F-35A, F-35B and F-35C. Full credits to them for those.

2 pointsView File AIM-97A Seekbat for SF2 What if Mod : AIM-97A Seekbat for SF2 v1.0.0 1) History Studied by General Dynamics, the Seekbat tested under the designation XAIM-97 was a USAF attempt to field a long range AAM for intercepting the Foxbat. This 590 kg air-to- air weapon was a SAHM. Its speed was Mach 3+ and its range was 90 km. The Seekbat was another Standard missile derivate... 2) Installation This AAM uses the AGM-78 LOD file from Strike Fighters 2. I have repainted the tile and created the needed files with the TW Weapon Editor. Put the "Objects" folder to your SF2 Directory In order to fire it you could fly the Thirdwire F-15A and you need edit the data.ini of the plane and add "SAHM" entry to this file : // Weapon Stations -------------------------- [LeftWingStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=1 StationGroupID=2 ... ... ... AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,LGB,EOGB,MER,FT,SAHM AttachmentType=NATO,USAF ... ... ... FuelTankName=Tank610_F15 FuelTankNodeName=droptank_wing_L [RightWingStation] SystemType=WEAPON_STATION StationID=2 StationGroupID=2 ... ... ... AllowedWeaponClass=BOMB,LGB,EOGB,MER,FT,SAHM AttachmentType=NATO,USAF ... ... ... FuelTankName=Tank610_F15 FuelTankNodeName=droptank_wing_R 3) What if story 1980 over Europe : the AIM-97A Seekbat is in operational service ! Its your turn now ! 2 pointsSure, why not. So, the one I did is blueish-green (a "middle" color), and the two others are clean blue and clean light green. I see that texture sets are basically the same across the pits so it won't be hard

1 pointI dont write Hoth, because i dont want to have troubles with Disney. I think, a Star Wars mod for SF2 would be a nice thing. Of course we can not have space battles, because the game engine cant handle it well, but a CAS or Strike scenario at the Iceplanet "Hoss" could be possible. Just for fun i started to made a 600 x 600 km all snow terrain with high mountains and flat areas and a fistfull bases. Some for the Rebell Alliance and some for the Imperial Forces. Since i have a Tie-Fighter on my harddrive, i want to have a X-Wing or Y-Wing as opponent. It would be nice if one of our modders could bring them to life. As long there are no X-Wings i use chinese MiG's as opponent. Screenshots: Attack on a Rebell Base was intercepted by Rebell forces, but the Imperial Tie-Fighters fought their way trough the defence.

1 pointEnjoyed MiG-23s from this pack. But one thing kept bugging me out, the labels have a lot of typos in them, sometimes just gibberish. I took the liberty to fix this. Just drop textures into the pit folder and replace. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Vy50VNwDtLx5TEQrZH_6Yt8MVxbZX7wM/view?usp=share_link This also works for MiG-23B/MiG-27 pit by "Stary"

1 pointAt least there is a way to substitute the Moon with the image of another planet, which I assume is what Menrva did in the Moon map. Maybe if you draw two planets on the same image you could do the same.

1 pointView File MiG-23 cockpit fixes Correction of typos and misspelling for Stary's MiG-23 pit. Plus reworked the HUD a little. All files converted to JPG to save space, it's 46mb now. Tuned for Mirage Factory MiGs, but could be used for stock ones with little tweaking. Some changes of HUD: Removed unnecessary ПР (launch authorized) marks - now it will flash only when you are actually in range Changed ОТВ (break) - now it will flash when you are too close Removed РЛ/ТП marks - they make no sense as the game doesn't support IRST. Now you will have Р (for search), З (for lock), B (for air-combat mode) Changed selected weapon display - now you will have type of weapon and amount remaining. Not really authentic but more useful Things I couldn't do: can't fix RWR - can't copy working RWR from MiG-21MF cockpit MiG-29 pit has authentic and working selected weapon display - can't copy that can't add proper IRST - game doesn't support it. tried with non-launching heatseeker missile on hidden pylon, it could lock targets but not really useful for anything else Readme inside. 1 pointNice work, @OlWilly! Those wonderful cockpits were all made by Stary. He also made alternative colors for the MiG-23 ones, any chance you could fix textures with those colors as well? Below two examples, one from the MLD and the other from his BN cockpit. I'd surely avoid the Su-35 and Su-37 from the SF1 section. They shouldn't even be available for download, since they are illegal rips from other games and according to site rules, they shouldn't be uploaded. I also have doubts about the legitimacy of the MiG-1.44. Just be careful and eventually double check with site admins about them.

1 pointAbsolutely, something is wrong with it. That's why I'd need someone expert with editing FMs, though for fuel matters I can look at it myself. Unfortunately baffmeister is no longer active here, he's the FM expert and had made the wonderful flight model for the F-22A I released. Thanks! Astore made that texture, then I had to fix its proportions. A new 3d model of the cockpit is very unlikely as there are very few 3d modellers around and I'd rather have them work on new additions. I really liked your F-35 skins, especially the F-35B and F-35C since nobody made better ones for those based on kblomkvist work. Do you have a template of those skins by chance? It'd be helpful for the project.

1 pointSure, I'm not familiar with local procedure yet Good idea, also saves space on the disk. With all due respect, but cockpit texturing here is a mess, using a whole load of textures with almost 200mb per one cockpit. Considering how many planes are in MiG-23 pack and if someone wants to use the similar pit for MiG-23B/27 it's almost 2GB of pit files alone. I think I will do the conversion for myself but upload these ones as they are I will also look into other planes, AFAIK, Su-7 pit has the same set of typos

1 pointSystemType=CONTROL_SURFACE InputName=PITCH_CONTROL ... MaxControlSpeed= <--- the speed at which the controls are blocked, in meters per second LockOutSpeed=TRUE If there is the "LockOutSpeed=TRUE" entry the MaxControlSpeed is the speed at which the control won't move anymore until the aircraft has slowed down. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ If there's not the "LockOutSpeed=TRUE" entry the MaxControlSpeed is the speed at which the control surface has the maximum effect (before the MachTable values apply). It's the setting for almost all the flight models.

1 pointContinuing with the trend imposed by Coupi , here I am recycling working on a UKR SU-27UB, it is what there is for now, of course if someone also works on a new double seat 3d model , it does not bother me at all to discard this mod
