Gunfighters! 366th Wing, Mountain Home's Mini Air Force in the 1990s In the 1990s, CSAF General Merril McPeak had a concept to test; expeditionary wings that had the entire range of capabilities to wage an air campaign. This lead to change for the 366th Fighter Wing, "Gunfighters", as they transitioned from a F-11 fighter unit to a composite wing, with bomber aircraft, tankers, and fighters specializing in air to air, SEAD and interdiction roles. The wing participated in several exercises and combat operations throughout the 1990s to validate the composite wing concept. Ultimately, economics of operating so many different aircraft types in one wing and base led to the consolodation of the Wing as a F-15E Strike Eagle unit. But, for about a decade, the Gunfighters hosted an entire mini air force, ready for its' nation's call to action. This mod is a tribute to that experiment. Installation This package includes everything you need to get into action. Unzip the mod, ope the "2. Mod Folder", and place contents into your chosen mod folder. Allow overwrites as necessary. 3 pointsLOD creation script uses a multiRes modifier. It works on multiple geometries and retains the geo type. It retains the skin modifier too, so you can run on a skinned character as well. This will make LOD0 Highest poly count LOD1 Lower LOD2 Even Lower and it will save a lot of time marking these LOD. created by LOKO lod_creator_1_updated (1).ms

SENTRY: Aircraft of the NATO E-3A Component Since 1983, NATO has operated international squadrons of E-3A Sentrys, commonly referred to as AWACS from Geilenkirchen AB. Registered in Luxembourg due to international law, the NATO AEW&C Force held watch during the final decade of the Cold War, participated in operations over the Balkans and Libya, and assisted with US homeland defense after the attacks on 9/11/01. During the late 1990s, the NATO Sentry fleet gained upgrades in line with the USAF's Block 30/35 upgrades. These included distinctive fairings on the aircraft chin, cheek and tail housing ESM equipment. The aircraft retained their original E-3A designations after the upgrades. For several years, retired 707 airliners were also operated as trainers to reduce E-3 flying hours and as transports to support NAEWF missions as well as other NATO missions when available. These aircraft were designated CT-49A and operated unti the mid 2010s. Included This mod includes skin for the E-3A, an E-3A_98 aircraft with fake pilot upgrades and CT-49A trainer aircraft, as well as decals and a set of ESM pods for the newer E-3A Installation unzip mod, add contents of "2 Mod Folder" to mod folder of your choice. allow overwrites Known Issues - The Sentry aircraft pull hard to port (left) when taking off. This only occurs when the player is hand flying the aircraft, when AI or autopilot flies this is not an issue - The cockpit is not a great match for the aircraft, however SF2 does not support any of their (E-3 or CT-49) original missions as player flyable and they were originally intended to be eye candy. Until we get a 3d modeller that wants to do a new E-3 or even 707 proper pit, this is how it will be. 2 pointsThis is a script to be used with 3ds Max to make the LOD files for the different distances beside the main LOD model. For example, you make an F-16.lod (file size is 6MB) and you need to make the other smaller files LOD1 High poly count 4MB LOD2 Lower 2MB LOD3 Even Lower 1MB then this is what you need. This used to be done manually but with the script, it will make it for you faster. Ps. Just be aware that it may work sometimes and may not work other times.

With regards to bricking your career, Robert Wiggins made a fantastic pilot backup program that you shouldn't really fly without, but mostly if you just copy your pilots folder from the campaigns folder to somewhere else while you are testing, you should be ok, keeping in mind you need to re-copy it over to the secure underground facility manually for every campaign mission you might happen to fly during the testing phase.

1 pointHi Tonci, for BH&H2-compatible mods, best is to check over Becker's excellent mods-compatibility post at this link. RJW's "Custom Consolidated Airfields and Facilities" mod(s) are must-haves and are compatible with BH&H2. Also worth checking out are BuckeyeBob's cloud/weather mods (those I think are listed under Becker's post, and available also on Sandbagger's website where RJW's facilities mods are hosted too). In terms of my FM mods, make sure to use with BH&H2 only the ones that are indicated to be BH&H2-compatible in that package (I've organized things by folders so it is easy to figure out what is compatible - for example, my older WoFF UE/PE FM mods are all in a separate folder and may be disregarded). The "FrankenBHAH Enhancement Package" is a terrain/FPS-tuner package tweaked to eradicate screen tearing and to improve FPS whenever possible, in BH&H2. There are also various realism tweaks included in that package. If you want to run the enhancement package, the recommended order in which to load it via JSGME is as follows: Step 1: Base Enhancement Package (ver. 1.1) Step 2 (optional): Hardcore Addon (ver. 1.15) Step 3 (optional, load only if not installing 1.15): Hardcore "Compensatory AI" Addon (ver. 1.16) Step 4 (optional, always load after 1.1, 1.15/1.16, etc.): FrankenMiniTuner ver. 1.2 If you are interested in the mods listed immediately above, recommended is first to install only the base package 1.1 and mini-tuner 1.2, for FPS improvements and smoothness - and to leave the addon 1.15 and/or addon 1.16 for later, once you become more familiar with WoFF (because addons 1.15 and 1.16 include some modifications to AI routines and chances of such routines in WoFF BH&H2; those addons also increase chances of engine breakdown, fire, etc., and further remove you from the stock WoFF experience). To find all of those various mods, simply scroll up/down through the posts in that support thread where I also posted info. about the dual-CPU X79 build. In terms of Bletchley's mods - I don't know if they are compatible with BH&H2. Hopefully someone will see this thread and comment on those other mods. The "Historically Populated Airfields" mod by JJJ (ver. 1.5) works for the most part, as far as I know, only if you are also using JJJ's Java-based "Mission Editor" for BH&H2. Standalone, I don't think it provides full results - namely, historical aircraft types (static models) at airfields, depending on period of war. Regarding those other terrain mods you've mentioned - largely a hit-and-miss situation - some may be compatible, others may not be - best is to experiment slowly with those (I think that most of those terrain mods were made for WoFF UE, possibly not even updated for WoFF PE).
