Thanks to all but the solution was simple .. I'd forgotten to add the system entries for the extra tank in the wings section of the Data.ini All is good now!

F-22A Raptor Add-on October 13th, 2021 (1st Release) by yakarov79, baffmeister, Crusader, guuruu and Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is a high quality add-on of the F-22A Raptor aircraft. The original model had been made by Heberth, and it was released in alpha stage. Upon noticing room for improvement, yakarov79 helped finalize the 3d model with numerous, additional details; accurate pylons and rail launchers, new external fuel tanks, highly detailed rack and small diameter bomb 3d models, canopy and thrust-vectoring animations, high-res skin with specular and bump maps, updated cockpit model, and so on. A realistic, well-thought flight model has been produced by our expert, baffmeister. Moreover, Crusader offered his great expertise to improve upon his previous modification for the Raptor's avionics. All their efforts have raised the quality bar of the project I had started; much credits to them all. I further polished the package by adding historically accurate weapon loadouts, my selection of sounds (including authentic engine samples by guuruu), realistic camouflage shapes and colours, reworked decals for the actual USAF's F-22A squadrons, new cockpit textures and other tweaks here and there. Each squadron has got historically correct serial numbers, and they appear in chronological order in the loadout screen; the serial numbers at the bottom of the list are those of aircraft that joined that squadron for last, while the serials at the beginning of the list indicate those aircraft that were available to that squadron for first. Like you would expect in an opera omnia, I even reproduced three unique paint schemes of real Raptors; the air superiority camouflage of the EMD 91-4001 Prototype of September 1997, the temporary "Blue Nose" decoration of the "Cripes A'Mighty" Raptor assigned to the 149th Fighter Squadron in April 2010, and a generic Mid-Production livery sporting the markings of the last Raptor ever produced that flew for the first time in March 2012. Templates by yakarov79, tweaked by yours truly, are included for your skinning fantasies. Notes: -The cockpit is not yet accurate, as various details couldn't be reworked due to RL and time constraints. We were working on a brand new cockpit with accurate HUD and displays. Slimers with correct illumination were also planned. Hopefully they will be a thing in a future re-release. -The aircraft folder is named "F-22A", just like the one included in a number of mod packages which use an old 3d model by Dels. In order to avoid mismatches and bugs of any sort, it's highly suggested to either remove or rename the aircraft folder using Dels' Raptor 3d model. -GPS guidance bombs (EOGB) do not work as intended in SF2, there are issues about them not locking on target and about AI behaviour. The GBU-39 has been set as an EOGR, so it works like a missile; this is a needed workaround to have them loaded properly on a rack while keeping the GPS guidance property. -You need to tweak the SoundList.ini file in order to fully experience any new sounds. Read "(Add to SoundList)" for further details, and remember to extract the SoundList.ini file from the FlightData.cat archive, if you do not have a custom one in your mod folder already. >Credits (in no particular order): -Heberth, for making this (once forgotten) fantastic 3d model. -Julhelm, for sharing the files of his superb F-22A cockpit 3d model, allowing yakarov79 to improve upon it. -yakarov79, for his invaluable help in finalizing the 3d model and remaking the base textures; you have my gratitude. -baffmeister, for his excellent flight model; it's thanks to him if this beauty flies as good as it looks. -Crusader, for reworking the avionics enhancement made for Julhelm's F-22A cockpit, and for improving the AIM missiles. -guuruu, for sharing his RWR symbols improvement mod and for making better engine sounds. -ravenclaw_007, for the AIM missiles from his top notch Weapons Pack 2, the GBU-32 JDAM bomb and the ACES II seat 3d models. -viper63a, for his old F-22A USAF Raptors Redux package, from which I borrowed decals. -simonmiller416, for his smokeless rocket effects mod. -mue, for his LOD Viewer which helped immensely in the making of the skins. -Cocas, for further help given to Heberth for the aircraft's 3d model. -My girlfriend, for supporting me in all of my endeavours. Additional ReadMe files by yakarov79 and baffmeister have been included among few others; be sure to read those to know about their work in better detail. >Disclaimer: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages. This mod may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions.

Maybe you're right Eric .. I don't know if anyone has done it before but I'd sure like to find out! Thanks for your response!

Could it be an actual limitation of the game? I would figure it would allow it to show up, but if not then it may be a simple limitation, unless somebody has done it before?

Thank you very very much Cliff7600 ! Actually i didn't have the file "fakepilot" in the pilots folder, i found it and everything works perfectly !! thank you again ! :)
  23. 1 point
It is a "fake pilot trick" issue Otherwise it would be a very tall pilot model, with very long legs. And the SF2 default pilot is normally proportioned Check in the "[...]_data.ini" file a "fakepilot" entry and you will see what item is missing in the pilots folder (mod folder -> "Objects" / "Pilots" )
  24. 1 point
add the fake pilot mod into your pilots folder without it, some part that FastCargo added on later to the model will show up as another pilot (like above) rather than whatever it was supposed to be the FakePilot should have come with the mod

FE2 is still alive and well - more obscure than RoF and WoFF - although that may be a good thing. Let us know what kind of "augmentation" you are interested in - and perhaps some of the FE2 specialists will pitch in with good info. If interested in FM modifications/integrations of (and into) FE2 - suggested is to begin with this post, in particular the bottom link of that post that outlines what aircraft packages many of my FM tweaks correspond with. For terrain editing, placement of targets, modification and/or installation of airfield objects, and other misc. objects, I would recommend contacting Stephen1918 (he has developed many excellent aircraft models for FE2, as well as several, important airfield objects). Geezer is also an encyclopedia of FE2-related knowledge (terrain/airfield and aircraft modding and development) - but I don't think that he mods anymore for FE2 (or at least hasn't posted here in a couple of years). Cheers to you & good flying in the FE2 skies.

Yes, indeed I do!!! Working on the IIIEA, then the Nesher, Dagger, and the 5BA. Then the Kfir(s). Having some issues with the RPK-10 bomb carrying fuel tank for the 5BA, however. It won't load and wont' carry any bombs or I'm just missing "something easy" in the loadout ini and data ini descriptions for it

View File SF2 TMF Mirage IIIE (AdA) Upgrade/Remod Pack SF2 TMF Mirage IIIE (AdA) Upgrade/Remod Pack 3/14/2024 -For SF2, Any and All- (Full 5 Merged Suggested) This is a full upgrade/remod pack for The Mirage Factory's Dassault Mirage IIIE as used by the French Air Force. Even though there is =NOT= a stock 3W Mirage IIIE, this is set up and labeled to cause NO conflicts with any (other) Mirages available within the game. Skins remain in their original bmp format. All necessary items are provided, weapons, pilots, seats, sounds, effects, and so forth (most weapons used ARE stock 3W items, excepting drop tanks). A new User List has also been created (see note about that in the "Notes" below). This aircraft is supplied with 3 skins: EC 1/13 Artois (NMF) EC 2/4 La Fayette (EuroCamo <1968) EC 3/3 Ardennes (EuroCamo <1980) Each skin has 26 id letters/serial numbers. Almost all markings are decals, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. As you can see above, the SF2 Date Switch is in effect. When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection Dropdown you'll see: Mirage IIIE (TMF) So you can't mistake them for anything else but TMF Birds (tm). As always, fairly easy to follow, yet detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them. All original readmes, when discoverable, are included. The 'Change Log' is, as always, in the Notes section below. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein For Oli and The Mirage Factory Submitter Wrench Submitted 03/15/2024 Category Mirage 3

I made a few edits to the parking on the Kitty Hawk to give a more crowded deck (this is slightly different to the version that I posted in the ODS30 thread so you will get a bit of variety in your different installs). From this stock parking.. To this.. Make sure you're on the right approach angle, it's a pretty tight squeeze onto the deck... And when you get down in one piece, I left a parking spot for you to taxi to.. And that all important text to copy into your CVA-63_DATA.ini file... Northrop F-5D Freedom Fighter - No.75 Squadron, Royal New Zealand Air Force, 1968 The New Zealand Government's decision to send troops to Vietnam in 1964 was highly controversial but was simply an escalation of the previous position of New Zealand assistance via various support structures such as the Civilian Surgical Team and the supply of a small non-combatant military force of engineers. The Royal New Zealand Air Force had provided transport assistance since 1962 and this had begun to increase when a sufficiently large airstrip to accommodate the Bristol Freighters of No.40 Squadron was built at Nui Dat. American pressure on both Australia and New Zealand to increase their support to US Forces in Vietnam continued and on March 31st, 1966 Sir Keith Holyoake, the New Zealand Prime Minister, announced that the Royal New Zealand Air Force would contribute to a joint RAAF/RNZAF combat wing consisting of three squadrons (two RAAF and one RNZAF) operating a version of the F-5A 'Freedom Fighter' which had just finished a succcessful five-month combat evaluation during 'Operation Skoshi Tiger'. On April 30th, 1966 No.75 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force at Ohakea was disbanded and a new No.75 Squadron was formed on the following day at Bien Hoa Air Base in South-Central southern Vietnam operating a handful of F-5A's and F-5B's loaned from USAF stocks. Experiences gained from 'Skoshi Tiger' were incorporated into a new version of the basic F-5A designated as the F-5D and initial deliveries were made to No.75 Squadron of the Royal New Zealand Air Force during August 1966 and the squadron were declared operational at the end of September 1966. The joint RAAF/RNZAF combat wing at Bien Hoa operated in ground-attack operations over South Vietnam and gained an enviable reputation for bombing accuracy and aircraft availability. When the joint RAAF/RNZAF combat wing finally ceased operations at the end of 1971 only eleven F-5D's had been lost over Vietnam - nine to enemy ground fire and two due to an unfortunate collision at take-off. All remaining aircraft were handed over to the Republic of Vietnam Air Force in 1972 in a move financed by the Nixon administration as part of the wider policy of 'Vietnamization'. Perhaps the official 1.0 versions of J-20A/B/S and FH-97A the Loyal Wingman will be release soon. Since this is my first comprehensive study result, there will be some remaining problems, but I will try my best to update them Good condition comes out.

Ahh well, thing is I haven't been able to find a suitable model resource. This is what I got recently. The model is pretty good, but the textures are average. And believe me, There are a lot of projects going on at the same time, it’s just that making a player-operated (especially with a cockpit to make) aircrafts is harder than anything else. So they will take more time, maybe in due course I will update with some images showing the progress

This is a "stand-in" Seafire FR Mk. 47 modded from Thirdwire's Spitfire Mk. 24. The skin in is .jpg format and 512 x 512 resolution. It includes a new SPITFIRE24_PROP_SLOW.TGA showing 5-blade propeller instead of the stock 4-blade prop. Also included is Stary's late mark Spitfire cockpit. You will need the DLC #29 to get the late marks Spitfires before you install this mod. Thanks to Thirdwire for the original Spitfire 3-D model. Have fun! A. Mariani
