Simmers Paint Shop Color Chips 6/29/2025 With the loss of Simmers Paint Shop, a lot of fantastic information has been lost forever for those texture artists that like the ability to fully match the proper colors for any and (mostly) all eras and countries. Listed are not only the color chips, the the R/G/B and Hex values to (re)create them in your own image manipulation programs (GIMP, Photoshop, Paint.net, etc) These are given the US Federal Standard, and for Luftwaffe, the RLM converted to FS coding. I don't remember when I found these, but here they are. Included are the original png format images, and I've converted them to jpgs for easier viewing with various and sundry programs. Be advised, the images are QUITE large, so you'll need to zoom in on them. Included herein are chips for: Japan - IJN, IJAAF, JASDF Germany - Luftwaffe RLM/RAL UK - RAF British Standard Russia/Soviet Union - VVS colorlist USA - USAF, USN, US Army I hope you enjoy these, and make good use of them!!! Even though I uploaded to the SF2 category, these are usefull for any and all games or what-have-yous that you'd like to use them for!! :) Wrench Kevin Stein

ALBATROS D III (OAW) WITH JASTA 39 REDUX This upload comprises of 3 Rar files, the first is the standard D III OAW, 2 of which are in generic markings, and 2 which are Ottoman machines, one in earlier markings of the black square, the second with the late war red squares. The other 2 Rar files are all for Jasta 39 Albatri, 2 generic, and the rest in the markings shown in the thumbnail pictures heading this download. Again as with the previous D III's I uploaded previously, the Jasta 39 aircraft are in their own complete fils, so you can use them as a seperate Jasta so it is named Albatros DIII (OAW) (JASTA 39)......you know the drill by now I am sure !!! The red and white candy stripe one, was a real pain in the bum to do, mainly because of the bloody awful way the models were made, so getting the stripes to marry up correctly had me cursing and swearing quite considerably. So it is not 100% perfect, but it is as good as can be expected, and certainly better than the original skin that was done in this scheme, I forget who originally uploaded it, but for sure it is a vast improvement. As ever, everything is included in the package, Decals, Guns........blah blah blah..........You will need to download all the files as the decals etc for the Jasta 39 Albatri are in the first RAR file.............As for the rest, I am not going to repeat myself, as I am sure most of the folks downloading this, are used to my stuff, so I wont bore you with the blurb !!! As always...................ENJOY

ALBATROS D II ( OEF ) REDUX This is the file for the Albatros D II ( OEF ) which for some reason I didnt include with the earlier upload of the D II ( Late ) I was sure that I had included this file, but apparently I did not, and no one, brought it to my attantion, you little tinkers you !!! However, here is the file that SHOULD have been there, and was not. Anyway, as always, both these Albatri are in plug and play format, unpack, and install, with the usual proviso, that any existing D II ( Late ) and ( OEF ) aircraft you may have WILL be overwritten, so please ensure you do the sensible thing, and back up or rename. Everything is included for both aircraft, Decals, Guns, Pilots and sounds. A shout out to Stephen 1918, for his sterling work on the original models, also to Geezer for the pilot models. ALBATROS D I REDUX A workover of my previously uploaded Albatros DI models, I have completely reworked the skins and markings, there are 5 versions in this upload, A factory "Standard" skin in ply and Linen, a version with a lighter stained ply and more yellowis Linen for the wings and empenage. The next one is an all over 2 colour camouflage over blue scheme, then an rework of the previously released DI of Prince Friedrich Karl von Preußen, which is an all over sea green colour, there IS a discussion as to whether this aircraft had a camouflage scheme on the upper surfaces, however it is only speculation, as there are no actual photos I can find of this machine. The final DI is an all blue with camouflage upper surfaces, of Hans Bethge of Jasta 1. Everything as always is packed up and ready to go, just unzip, and drop into your directory where you have all your other flying circusses !!! Just be aware it will over write any existing DI's you may have already installed, so dont forget to backup or rename the original files, to avoid any unfortunate mistakes !!!! Included are all the sound files, decals, guns, pilots and of course the actual Albatros. A shout out to Steven 1918 of course, without whom we wouldnt have the DI/DII Albatros in the first place, also to Geezer for the Pilot figure, and anyone else I may have inadvertently forgotten. As always...............................ENJOY !!!

After nearly 6 years since my proof of concept experiments with the TOD files I'm ready to release a first version of the TODEditor (could almost be a nominee for the Duke Nukem Forever Award ). Main Features: Easy editing of TOD files: cut/copy/paste, moving and rotating of objects Import of object models files: *.lod, *.obj or *.3ds Warning: Use at your own risk. The TODEditor is currently in an early beta stage and can contain serious bugs. So, please backup your terrain files before you work with the TODEditor. I have warned you! This is a completely new version of the Galicia terrain. The new terrain includes new tiles and TODs, adjustments to the height map, many new targets and objects, winter and summer tiles. All necessary ground objects are included in the download. Galicia was the name of a territory in north-eastern Hungary and was the scene of major fighting during the First World War. It was invaded by the Russians early in the war, was recaptured by the Austro-Hungarians later, and invaded by the Russians again even later. This download includes all the ground objects necessary for the Eastern Front. A more complete ReadMe file is included in the download. I have included instructions for updating an existing install or for making a completely new install. Instructions for both FE1 and FE2 are included. New in Version 3 I have made all new farm and city tiles with new TODs. I have made many adjustments to the height map and changed the amount of tree and rough areas. Both summer and winter terrains are included. I have added a lot of detail to the battle fields, including machine gun placements, Austrian infantry units, debris in the battle fields, and more detail in the artillery batteries. I have added a lot of buildings to make the cities more crowded. I repainted the existing building skins and made some new buildings. I have added static aircraft to all the airfields and made many changes to the buildings, objects and other details to increase diversity. I have added about a dozen new airfields, field hospitals, and cavalry camps. I revised many of the ground objects and skins, and made some new ones for this terrain. All necessary ground objects are included in the download. Credits Gerwin's TFD editor was most helpful in making this terrain. I would not have been able to do it without this outstanding utility. I have included many of Geezer's maintenance figures, airfield objects, and AA machine guns in this download. Geezer also made some artillery for this project.

The Nieuport 12 was built under license by Beardmore & Co. Ltd. for both the RNAS and the RFC. The Beardmore version differed from the French version in many small ways; the most obvious differences were - a vertical stabilizer at the tail, a slightly longer lower wing, and a different engine cowling. My version has a Lewis Gun mounted on a Scarff Ring for the observer and a Vickers Gun mounted on the fuselage for the pilot. The British built Nieuports had the insignia placed differently from the French versions, my decal ini's are British style. I have included two skins, a brown and linen skin for the RFC, and a dark green skin for the RNAS. There is a set of appropriate serial number decals for each. My skinning templates are included with the download. I have also made British faces for the cockpit instruments. Because of the many minor differences, the skins, cockpit, and data file are not interchangeable with my original Nieuport 12. Credits: My thanks to Ojcar for making the data file for the original N12, I have made slight changes for the Beardmore version. Installation instructions: For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport12Beardmore" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport12Beardmore" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Aircraft folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "Nieuport12Beardmore". Move the folder named "D" from the Airplanes/Nieuport12Beardmore folder into the Decals/Nieuport12Beardmore folder you just made.

The Nieuport 10 was the first of the classic wing-and-a-half, V-strut Nieuports. Designed in 1914, it combined the visibility of a monoplane with with the strength of a biplane. The Nieuport 10 was designed as a two seater, but was underpowered. Many of them were converted to single seat planes and with the addition of a wing mounted machine gun, the Nieuport 10 became an effective fighter for the early years of World War I. My model is configured as a single seat fighter. I have included three skinning options, which are identical except for the decals. The Italian Linen uses the Italian insignia and includes the red and green underwing panels. The Russian skin uses the Russian insignia and includes the roundels on the tail planes. The Standard Linen can be used for all the other Entente powers. This plane uses the national markings that come with First Eagles, so you can easily change nationalities (in the Standard Linen skin only.) I have included decals for serial numbers which will be applied randomly. Historical Notes: The numbers are fictious, but in the correct range for most Nieuport 10s. British planes carried a four digit serial number on the fuselage, Italian planes used "Ni" instead of "N" in the serial numbers. Credits: My thanks once again to Ojcar for making the excellent data.INI file for this plane. My thanks to Nix for making the realistic sound file for the Le Rhône 80hp engine. Thanks also to Nix, Sinbad, Whiteknight06604, and 33Lima who provided suggestions and resources for the Nieuport 10. Version 2 Revised data file by ojcar improves performance and corrects hit box locations for the fuel tanks - thanks to Panama Red for testing. Installation instructions: For FE1: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport10" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Airplanes folder. You also need to move the sound file "LeRhone9c80hp1m4.wav" into the FirstEagles/Sounds folder. For FE2: Unzip the file and move the folder named "Nieuport10" into the FirstEagles/Objects/Airplanes folder. Then in the FirstEagles/Objects/Decals folder, create a new folder named "Nieuport10". Move the folder named "D" from the Airplanes/Nieuport10 folder into the Decals/Nieuport10 folder you just made. You also need to move the sound file "LeRhone9c80hp1m4.wav" into the FirstEagles/Sounds folder.
