    1. North American F-100D 'Shavit' for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
      This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-100D to give a fictional F-100D 'Shavit' (Comet) of the Israeli Air Force with markings for;
117 squadron - 'The First Jet Squadron' in a natural metal scheme.
253 squadron - 'The Negev Squadron' in a USAF SEA scheme (as transferred from USAF stocks in October 1973).
This should work in any SF2 game featuring the stock Third Wire F-100D but has only been tested in a merged install of SF2/SF2V/SF2E/SF2I.

      BACKSTORY
Despite a very smooth test and development phase North American Aviation's superb F-107 unexpectedly lost out to Republic Aviation's F-105 Thunderchief in the competition for a new supersonic fighter-bomber for TAC. By early 1959 the end of the F-100D production line was now in sight and with the F-108 and B-70 programmes now on the far horizon North American Aviation needed to stretch the F-100 Super Sabre programme out to plug the gap and urgently proposed a variety of F-100 variants to several friendly nations, including Israel, Japan and the United Kingdom.
In April 1959 the Israeli government signed for 50 F-100D's and the first of these entered Heyl Ha'Avir service in February 1960 replacing the obsolete Gloster Meteors of 117 Squadron. The 'Shavit' was a popular machine in Heyl Ha'Avir service and served with distinction during the 1967 'Six-Day' war but losses were heavy during the early days of the 1973 'Yom Kippur' war and two small batches of ex-USAF F-100D's were accquired as attrition replacements allowing No.253 squadron to re-equip with the F-100D before finally retiring the type in November 1977.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-100Didf folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-100Didf folder into your Decals folder.
      That's it!

      CREDITS
As always, thanks to Third Wire for a great little game/sim.
Special thanks to guyran for suggesting the 'Shavit' name.
And, finally, thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community.

    2. Saab Draken F.2A for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a 'what if' Saab Draken F.2A with markings for No.23 and No.25 squadrons of the Royal Air Force as they might of appeared in the 1980's towards the end of their career.
I've used the excellent Draken J35D 'David' from the Draken pack uploaded at CombatACE by lindr2 to create this 'what if' RAF Draken but heartily recommend the Draken pack which has no less than 8 Drakens and is a superb effort by all concerned. For this revised upload I've made a simple grey skin and decals to create these RAF Drakens as they might have looked towards the end of their lives. I've used 1978 to 1991 as the 'in service' years, basically to utilise the British Skyflash missile and I've also tweaked the data.ini and also the loadout.ini to give RAF loadouts.
The Draken itself was an amazing achievement and has a similar WOW factor to the contempory 'Century Series' of fighters - you just cannot believe it first flew in 1955... it just looks so cool! As much as I love the English
Electric Lightning you must remember that the Draken had half the power but effectively did the same job plus another half-a-dozen! In addition, it cost dramatically less and it certainly required a fraction of the maintenance man hours!
Suggested further reading - Saab Draken (chapter) 'Early Supersonic Fighters of the West' (Bill Gunston)

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Draken_F2A folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Draken_F2A folder into your main Decals folder.
      3. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop the TANK_DRAKEN_F2A folder into your Weapons folder.

      CREDITS
I've lifted these credits from the Draken pack but if I've unwittingly left anyone out then please accept my apology and do not hesitate to contact me to allow me to amend this package.

    3. SF2 F3D-2/EF-10B Skyknight by Coyote Aerospace       1/1/2024
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Recommended)
This is the release of AngelP's F3D-2/EF-10 "Skyknight". It's being released as a "provisional Beta", due to the LOD needing more work. But rest assured, it's been 'tested to destruction', and other than needing a few more seperated meshes, is fully functional.
The aircraft has been split into two differing birds, one the night/all weather fighter for the 1950s (F3D-2) and the Vietnam War era stand-off/escort jammer (EF-10B). Due to the need for certain types of electronics (avionics), 2 different cockpits have been used.
The aircraft(s) include the following skin sets:
      F3D-2:
VC-3 (USN) in standard overall Dark Gloss Navy Blue
      VMF(N)-513 -
VMF(N)-531 - both in overall Night Black, USMC night fighters during the Korean War
      EF-10B:
      VMCJ-1 in standard Gull Grey/White
Most marking are decals; excepting a few squadron flashes. Decal randomization is TRUE. As expected, as many Modex numbers as possible have been matched to their BuNums. These are marked with the star (*). Those unmarked could not be matched, or are just 'generic' in nature. Included are pilot figures, drop tanks (ini only) and the EF-10 gets external jammer and chaff pods. This aircraft is NOT carrier qualfied, although the wings fold with the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/9, and the canopy hatch with Shift/0.
When in-game, on the Aircraft Selection dropdown you'll see for each:
      F3D-2 Skyknight (CAF)
      EF-10B Skyknight (CAF)
these will differentiate ours from any others you might (or most likely DON'T) have.
As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. If there's any Notes, give them a read too! :)

    4. Gunfighters!             366th Wing, Mountain Home's Mini Air Force in the 1990s
In the 1990s, CSAF General Merril McPeak had a concept to test; expeditionary wings that had the entire range of capabilities to wage an air campaign. This lead to change for the 366th Fighter Wing, "Gunfighters", as they transitioned from a F-11 fighter unit to a composite wing, with bomber aircraft, tankers, and fighters specializing in air to air, SEAD and interdiction roles.
The wing participated in several exercises and combat operations throughout the 1990s to validate the composite wing concept. Ultimately, economics of operating so many different aircraft types in one wing and base led to the consolodation of the Wing as a F-15E Strike Eagle unit.
But, for about a decade, the Gunfighters hosted an entire mini air force, ready for its' nation's call to action. This mod is a tribute to that experiment.
              Installation
This package includes everything you need to get into action. Unzip the mod, ope the "2. Mod Folder", and place contents into your chosen mod folder. Allow overwrites as necessary.

    5. SENTRY:  Aircraft of the NATO E-3A Component
Since 1983, NATO has operated international squadrons of E-3A Sentrys, commonly referred to as AWACS from Geilenkirchen AB. Registered in Luxembourg due to international law, the NATO AEW&C Force held watch during the final decade of the Cold War, participated in operations over the Balkans and Libya, and assisted with US homeland defense after the attacks on 9/11/01.
During the late 1990s, the NATO Sentry fleet gained upgrades in line with the USAF's Block 30/35 upgrades. These included distinctive fairings on the aircraft chin, cheek and tail housing ESM equipment. The aircraft retained their original E-3A designations after the upgrades.
For several years, retired 707 airliners were also operated as trainers to reduce E-3 flying hours and as transports to support NAEWF missions as well as other NATO missions when available. These aircraft were designated CT-49A and operated unti the mid 2010s.
                  Included
This mod includes skin for the E-3A, an E-3A_98 aircraft with fake pilot upgrades and CT-49A trainer aircraft, as well as decals and a set of ESM pods for the newer E-3A
                  Installation
unzip mod, add contents of "2 Mod Folder" to mod folder of your choice. allow overwrites
                  Known Issues
      - The Sentry aircraft pull hard to port (left) when taking off. This only occurs when the player is hand flying the aircraft, when  AI or autopilot flies this is not an issue
      - The cockpit is not a great match for the aircraft, however SF2 does not support any of their (E-3 or CT-49) original missions as player flyable and they were originally intended to be eye candy. Until we get a 3d modeller that wants to do a new E-3 or even 707 proper pit, this is how it will be.

    6. General Dynamics Falcon FG.3 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of the Viper Team's superb two-seat F-16D to give a fictional Falcon FG.3 with markings for No.41 and No.54 squadrons of the Royal Air Force.
Please note that the 3D model does have a minor shadow issue and whilst shadows can easily be turned off I've chosen to leave them on... so just fly the damn thing!

    7. Royal Air Force Meteors.
Bunch of Meteors for the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.
This mod is not to compete with the previous Meteor mods that I was part of. It is just my, different approach.
Basic modding skills are required to run this mod.  (copy/paste, mod folder structure, etc.)
      Install:
Copy and paste specific folders into the correct destination.
A fake pilot is required to run this mod. Also, the Thirdwire Meteor cockpit is required from the original game.
Fuel tanks- not to be afraid. Overwrite or just leave it. 100 gal tank is the original TW tank. You can overwrite or just simply do not copy.
      175 gal tank also.
Tanks are just ini files. The mod uses tanks that are part of aircraft lod.
      Yes, again Meteors.
But I made this revamp to fix what I wanted to fix for some time already in old models..plus a few new things.
So we have 22 different (more or less) aircraft.
F Mk.1 - first 12 production Meteors with Welland I engines.  Not all served in 616 Sq at the same time. Some were moved to RAE or Gloster Company for further development.
      F.Mk.3 - first 15 airframes with Welland I engine.
      F.Mk.3 - equipped with Derwent I engine.
F.Mk.4 - High-Speed Record (Basically F.4 with long span wing from F.3 - Or F.3 with long Nacelles - depends on how you look at it - but serial is listed under F.4) - Anyway, bonus aircraft for speed record in 1945 and 1946.
F.Mk.4 - fighter jet with Derwent 5 engines.
      T.Mk.7 - two-seat training jet.
F.8 -  represented in mod with 3 variants for the game. First with an early canopy hood. Then bubble canopy and the last one with a large bore engine intake...(mostly serials WK and WL...but at some point, you could have large intakes and early canopy...just a matter of when and where)
FR.9  - fighter recon version in two variants early and late canopy.
      PR.10 - photo reconnaissance  version
      NF.11 - radar night /all-weather fighter
NF.13  - radar night /all-weather fighter with additional equipment for use in hot/tropical climate
      NF.12  - radar night /all-weather fighter
      NF.14  - radar night /all-weather fighter
NF.14(trop) radar night /all-weather fighter with additional equipment for use in hot/tropical climates mostly prepared for No 60 Sq. But also served within units stationed in Great Britain.
NF(T).14 - training version for Air Navigation Schools - Rebuild from NF.14 - no radar or armament.
TT.20 - target tug aircraft with target sleeve for artillery practice (target sleeve is deployed as bomb bay doors - AI will open doors when approaching target).
      U.15 - target/research drone jet based on F.4 Meteor
      U.16 - target/research drone jet based on F.8 Meteor
T7(TT) - separate version - target tug with target banner.  - Should start in the air in single mission editor - while AI is taking off it will lose the banner on an airstrip.

      Tip...
TT.20, U.15, U.16, and T.7(TT) are serving for nation=RAF but privately I have them as RAF-RED for 'training purposes' you can do that too, or screw this at all. Use it for your liking. I do not know how you are going to use those special aircraft...but it is here for general enjoyment.
While RAF did not have in mind using Meteors for a ground attack there was a possibility to equip them with non-guided rockets (F.8 and FR9) or bombs (F.4/F.8/FR.9). So you can do it...but I set primary/secondary mission only CAS and armed recon for FR.9...but you can always edit it your way.
I fixed data files a little - collision points and hitboxes..as the previous ones were quite weird. But I believe that the flight model could be improved for this aircraft. But this is not my cup of tea nor coffee.

All skins are in 4096x4096 format. You can easily resize as needed. Now all Meteors are using the same common color standard. Skins represent all squadrons that operationally used Meteors. Later at some point, after withdrawal many Meteors found some new home as squadron hacks..and could be found everywhere...almost. But those were single examples in specific markings. Those are not included in this mod.
I Made a bunch of decals. Some squadrons have special markings on the fin to represent commanding officer aircraft (usually the correct serial number for a specific year), and some do not. Mostly code letter is generic and do not correspond with real code assigned to serial number. But in a few skin sets it is as it should be. You will see. Explore.
Also, RAF letters folder should be added to the Decals folder I know it is big but it gives slightly better quality with still small file size
All correct serial numbers for every Meteor version. Excluded are numbers that never served within the Royal Air Force or were sold to other countries from RAF inventory.
this gives us 2918 individual serial numbers (I believe that is the number never counted what I did).

There are many reasons why I have made things in this mod the way they are...versions, skins, and decals. A lot to explain but I doubt anyone wants to read about it anyway.
Under no circumstances do not use any part of it with older Meteors done by me and published here in CA.
These new ones have some differences in mapping. Some things were changed, some mapping issues and small thingies. So please do not mess up things.

      Credits.

Yours truly  -  model rework, mambo jumbo like skins, decals, research...

No animal was harmed during the creation of this mod.
Only Italian coffee was used, mod may contain cookie crumbs and nuts.
Seat - all credits to the creator - unfortunately I don't remember who made this seat. I guess the skin was painted by Kulbit.
Pilots - RAF pilot by Geezer another one I have no idea / don't remember who did it. All credit to him/her.
      Weapons
      RP-3 rockets from Ravenclaw.
This model is designed/checked only to work with Ravenclaw's RP-3 rockets - so there might be some strange positioning in other (stock) rockets.

During the creation of squadron patches, I might have used the wrong crown on squadron crests. (according to the squadron timeframe)Gaffe indeed.  All should have St. Edward's Crown but I am aware that some have Tudor Crown. It is not out of ignorance ...Hope this small faux pas can be forgiven.
      Have fun.

    8. SF2 C-123B/K Provider ReMod Pack           11/2/2022
-For SF2 (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)-
This is a remod/update package of the C-123B & C-12K Provider cargo transport by Dels from 2009. This package contains the following items ---

      C-123B:
USAFSilver - 390th Troop Carrier Group
USAFSEA - 3 tone SEA camo. 19th Air Commando Squadron, 315th Air Command Group (1965<)

      C-123K:
      USAFSEA - 309th ACS, 315th ACW
      VNAF - 423rd Transport Squadron
      AirAmerica - NMF
AFRES - 731st TAS, 901st TAW Westover AFB, MA (<1974) (NEW!!!)
All serial numbers are 100% hisorically correct for each of the skins on both aircraft. However, I was unable to run down serials to units. So, consider them 'generic' in that regard. Decal randomization is true. New decals for all but "Air America" skin. ALL skins remain in their "as issued" 1stGen bmp format. The SF2 'date switch' is used on on the C-12B to switch from NMF to 3-tone camo; it is also used on the 123K, as the VNAF skin becomes active in 1970, and the AFRES skin post-Vietnam in 1974. The "airdropable" weapons are also included. New sounds and hangar & loading screens are also included. The flight model remains "as issued". See "change Log" for full more details.
As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! ALL original readmes have been included, when discoverable.
      Happy Landings!
