I don't know or have anything on or about the ANG N units. I was thinking possibly about a limited war during or about the time of the Korean War. Something that uses leftover WWII prop planes and maybe early jets like the P-59, etc. Planes the US could spare at the time. Same for other countries. Maybe in the Philippines or Vietnam or Central America. Nothing definite yet. But I have no problem with anyone who wants to make ANG N and foreign skins.

P.S. As you can see, there is no need to make black'n'white bands on the top and bottom of the Loading screen. However, this is the matter of your own taste and desire, of course.

View File RCAF C-54 Schemes To be used on SF2 Douglas C-54 Skymaster by Veltro2K available here : https://combatace.com/files/file/14309-sf2-douglas-c-54-skymaster-by-veltro2k/ These skins represent the schemes used by the RCAF on their C-54 North star with the No. 412 Transport Squadron. The serial numbers in this skin pack along with planes numbers are real one's. Some details will be different then real life RCAF C-54 as they are model related (RCAF Aircraft were using Merlin engines). You will get the following skins in this package : 48-58 Era 58-65 Era 58-65 Era (United Nations) 66-68 Era Installation: Copy the FOLDERS of the current pack objects/aircraft folder in your game C-54 aircraft folder. Copy the FOLDERS of the current pack objects/decals folder in your game C-54 decals folder. Open the Textureset.ini and edit the file by adding the texture.ini lines. Open the Userlist.ini and edit the lines for Canada service years. All decals are made by me. I completely redraw the panel lines and rivets. Serials are real one's and squadron specific. Credits: Thanks to Thirdwire for creating the Strike Fighters series. Thanks to Veltro2K for the C-54 model. Thanks to Wrench for the base template i used. Thanks to me for the redraw of the lines and paint work :). Happy flights! Mario C. Frenchie1977 Submitter 1977Frenchie Submitted 10/27/2017 Category Other

None that I'm aware of. I did see some marginal super cruise from the Mirage F1 charts in a very clean configuration but I think at about 18000ft. Quite sure the dash 19 powered F-104C could super cruise as well but have to check the charts. Wrench is right, you can check out a lot of these questions yourself. Here's a link to a site with some flight manuals. You can look for free but downloads cost money: http://www.avialogs.com/index.php/aircraft/usa/lockheed/f-104starfighter/t-o-1f-104a-1-f-104a-b-c-d-flight-manual.html

In the stock First Eagles screens, there is a very faint blue gradient at the top of the screen, and a faint red (or brown?) gradient at the bottom. I tried very hard to match it in the screens I made for the Eastern Front campaign many years ago, but they didn't quite match.

No mate, reallY. In order to sell to Israel the A-4 under the defensive rules, the A-4F was downgraded in many respect:some weapons was omitted ( Rockeyes CBUs,Bullpup missiles,BLU-27 napalm canister,Shrike ARMs).Also various avionics components was removed :as mentioned by streakeagle, the hump was deleted with the relative Lear Siegler nav and bombing computers,as the ALQ-51A/100 RWR and the Foxtrot's multipurpose gunsight and the capability to use optically guided glide bombs. Again as said by streakeagle, the original 20mm Colt cannon was replaced by a pair of 30mm DEFA guns,as a lesson from the high success this weapons showed during the Six Day Wars ' Moked operation by the various French builded planes in IAF service at the time. Another addition to the H version as per Israeli request was the UHF AN/ARC-51A radio on the new squared fin top. Obviously in the following years the IAF retrofitted the planes with some of the deleted systems, obtaining better result in his definitive version, the N:And ironically, during the YKW's Operatin Nickel Grass, the US delivered the emergency aid A-4F directely from Navy squadrons, completely equipped of the initial banned systems... So,in the game, the basic E and H are without ECM and RHAW,you need to wait 'till the planes upgrade during the campaign. as stated by dtmdragon,go for the two Ahit packs!!!!

If you want the best weapons, performance and avionics go for the A-4N from the A-4N Ahit Pack 2.0. It is fully integrated into the stock Yom Kippur War campaign provided you install the A-4E/H/F Ahit upgrade/ Enhancement for SF2 1.0 first. Even if you stick with the A-4H or A-4E the Enhancement pack will give you a far more historically accurate aircraft. Again they are fully integrated into the stock Yom Kippur War campaign. Make sure you install the A-4E/H/F Ahit upgrade/ Enhancement first, then the A-4N Ahit pack and override all files as you go.

Well done, Geezer, VonS and Quack74!!! The work you have displayed for us here looks amazing! The Pfalz D.III and D.IIIa looks expecially sweet to me since they are two of my absolute favorite WWI aircrafts. :) Thanks for doing this, guys! It's really appreciated! :D

Some fun experiments with Stary's generic WW2 cockpits and the move instruments trick. As he says, "Rivet counters and/or WW2 experts please note that these cockpits do NOT represent any specific real-life models/variants, so if you seek for ultimate realism in modelling this pack is NOT for you." But, sometimes, they give a more similar view from a cockpit, as far as cockpit framing goes, than using a stock cockpit, which was their purpose. By using the move trick, you can remove guns, etc., to get more use from them. Here, they're applied to a P-51b and a Malcom hooded P=51. Like me, they're far from perfect, but they give a more similar view, framing wise, than using a stock P-51d cockpit. I know most won't like them, but I do. Thanks, Stary.

In the upper right corner you can see a white background. In the rest, I think, everything is fine. Do you like stylization as an "old movie"? You caught a good camera angle, but, IMHO, the screen looks a bit dark (against the background of the ground). And it is desirable to make the main airplane larger. By the way, drop this file into your "Flight" folder. Loading immediately will be more fun. Turn your volume UP! Enjoy... and not lose your hearing at the same time. loading.WAV

I'm very pleased to hear it. Yes, you're right, shadow on Albatros is very clear-cut. I noticed it and when I was making DFW screen I fixed this bug. Glad that such man as you gives me advices. Thank you very much.

Nyghtfall's Skyhawk defending a ground attack. https://combatace.com/gallery/image/35161-img00053jpg/ South China Sea project continues slowly. I had a computer crash but was able to recover my work. However, the primary (250m) version is giving me issues when loading. I am in the process of building a standard 3000x3000 (2km) version and have to targetize it.

I made one for myself. Not really much work. One red airfield, one blue airfield, and carrier zones. Thats it. Here an other screenshot. MiG-21 takes off from Burevestnik Aerodrom. MiG-21 strikes Nakashibetsu Airfield.

I stopped being lazy and got out some of my references. I found some digital RGB numbers for French camo colors, so I can alter the camo when I resume work on the R11. I also found out that horizon-blue was frequently used as a primer on many metal fittings. BUT, not all manufacturers used horizon-blue as a primer, so the variation in museum restorations would seem to be historically accurate! I still don't know if Caudron used horizon-blue, or some other color.

Also been tinkering with the Caudron R11, and have a question for experts on French WW1 camo. Note the metal fittings in the shot of the M-S Type AI - is the blue-gray paint typical?

Sorry to be intruding but I had the same "problem", but knowing that the site was undergoing reformulations I waited patiently until the SF2 download area (which is the only one I usually access) was ready. I suggest you try to access that area again as it is apparently already working as it should. ^^ https://combatace.com/files/category/388-strike-fighters-2-series-by-thirdwire/
