2 pointsModern Air Combat by Eagle Dynamics Coming this Autumn! Developed by the same studio that brought you the wildly successful Lock On, Modern Air Combat (MAC) brings you one game with 14 unique combat aircraft to own the sky! MAC aircraft include: F-15C Eagle. US air superiority fighter with 104 kills to 0 losses record. Su-27 Flanker B. Russia's dominate heavy air superiority fighter. Su-33 Flanker D. The Russian navy's carrier capable version of the Flanker B. J-11 Flanker B+. The Chinese version of the Flanker B, with R77 active homing missiles. MiG-29 Fulcrum A. Russia's widely exported light air superiority fighter. MiG-29S Fulcrum C. The modernised version of the Fulcrum with latest weapons and defences. A-10A Warthog. The USAF's massively successful 'flying tank', designed to kill ground targets. Su-25A Frogfoot. Russia's primary ground attack and close air support jet. Su-25T Frogfoot. A modernised version of the Frogfoot with enhanced sensors and weapons. F-86F Sabre. America's iconic top fighter during the Korean War. MiG-15bis Fagot. Russia's 1st generation jet fighter that opposed the Sabre over Korea. F-5E Tiger II. The US light-weight fighter that has been operational since the Vietnam War and operated by over 30 countries. MiG-21bis Fishbed. Russia's most successful fighter of the Vietnam war. A supersonic fighter that closely matches the Tiger II. L-39ZA. A Czech designed, two seat trainer that was then adapted to a light attack aircraft. Each aircraft's flight model, sounds, external model and cockpit is recreated to an exceptional level of detail and accuracy. Great care has been given to offer scalable gameplay that suits your personal levels and wishes. This includes intuitive and consistent keyboard controls between aircraft, selectable difficulty settings, option for more forgiving flight dynamics, and even the ability to fly these aircraft with just your keyboard. As with Lock On and the Flaming Cliffs series, MAC is focused on east and west counterpart aircraft, and this includes such legendary match-ups such as the Eagle and Flanker, Warthog and Frogfoot, Sabre and MiG-15bis, and the F-5E and MiG-21bis. MAC is a blend of both east and west, and this allows you to re-fight historical conflicts from the Korean War to today, and to create your own "what-if" missions. You can generate an unlimited number of missions using the Fast Mission Creator and Mission Editor. MAC also includes numerous instant action and single missions, as well as campaigns for most of the aircraft and is fully compatible with DCS World online! There are no limits to content. In addition to the full Caucasus map, MAC also includes a limited part of our Nevada and Persian Gulf maps. Key Features of MAC: 14 exceptional combat aircraft from the United States, Russia, China and Czech Republic. Shallow learning curve with consistent key controls between aircraft, and easy to fly with just a keyboard. Professional level flight models, but with option for forgiving flight dynamics. Play instant action, single missions and campaigns for most aircraft in single player or fly online. Supports Virtual Reality like Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality. Includes the Caucasus map and portions of Nevada and the Persian Gulf. Purchase MAC aircraft individually or as a pack at a reduced price. Flaming Cliffs 3 owners can purchase the MAC pack at a great discount. DCS World 2.5 Update This week we merged the current DCS World 2.5 Open Beta to the DCS World 2.5 Release version. Next week, 18 July, we plan the next DCS World update to include many fixes and improvements to the Hornet, DCS World 2.5, the Persian Gulf Map, and other modules. DCS World Dedicated Server Update With the launch of 2.5 earlier this year, we have been working diligently on an item we've been wanting to bring to DCS World for quite a long time: a dedicated server. It however was not until the launch of DCS World 2.5 was this possible, and hence the length of time this has taken. As a dedicated server, the software will not require any graphics rendering, so no dedicated graphics card will be required and there is no audio requirement. This all greatly reduced server load overhead. There will be a new web GUI to control the server. Operation of the dedicated server through the web GUI will operate much as the existing online server does now, but allow you to make changes remotely. We plan to release the dedicated server in Autumn 2018. Afterward, we will investigate adding additional features to expand its capability. Sincerely, The Eagle Dynamics Team

1 pointHere are some additional CL-1200 Lancer pictures, it is one of the what-if aircraft that I wish we had for SF2, along with the Vought XF8U-3 Crusader III. On the topic of air superiority the F-106 was at lest the equal of any of the other delta wing fighter/interceptors of its era, MiG-21, Mirage III, etc, especially once the Project SixShooter update was added.

1 pointgoing thru the mod itself, equipment lists on wiki, and the download section. about everything in the mod could use at least some small improvement (smallest thought of being the F-16As and A-10s with some nosearts and historical serial numbs attached). some items could use a complete replacement (Hercs, use dels new ones) and some need some overhauling (Ravens, Stratotankers, RF-4C, B-52G). A good chunk could also be pulled out as unnecessary (looking up Marine tanker Hercs, only think one version was involved as example. ALL the weapons and skins and decals from post 92 as another). so far i'm still on aircraft, getting to ships and ground vehicles this week. theres alot on our in house shelves already. the big trick would be incorporating it into the campaigns, not so much creating the aircraft or ground objects that said, there is quite a bit of gold in the download section that can save some time. Im working on going thru units and equipment and matching to whats stock(not much), whats in mod already(alot but not all that could be) and whats available on site vs known WIP or not available at all. thank you menvra for volunteering on the campaign inis. something to look up might be viper63s update pack, which has some of edits already. i dont know if it could help or not, but its there although i would want the US Army to become a seperate nation and campaign in this. dunno why... final note, will get a pm going in around another week for everyone that's expressed interest in working on this. got a few other useful files to share that may help in getting some closer historical accuracy going.

1 pointThe only major change would be the campaign name in the dropdown menu list, since other countries had their own name for the American Op. Desert Storm. There is no point in dividing, AFAIK. However, when I'll work on the campaign .inis, I'll make sure to rework mission types probabilities as realistically as possible; in the original ODS mod, depending on the squadron selected, I even got CAP missions against many Iraqi planes well inside Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Bahrain. Much unrealistic. So it's on the “to fix” list.
-
1 pointthat is exactly my intent, the only from scratch thing being the campaign inis to incorporate all of the new stuff and Menvra's terrain thank you for the initial show of support for this everyone. for GP info, am wrapping up something for RL this week, plus my 19th anniversary tomorrow. once the RL project is done on Wednesday, will be going thru ODS, the download sections and the WIP threads. the intent is to see what we have, what we need, whats available in house, and what needs to be done. keep the ideas coming and WIP suggestions coming, i just might not get to them til the weekend.

1 pointThe Mirage F-1 Team works on several Mirage F-1 useful for ODS : - Mirage F-1EQ (different versions) - Mirage F-1CR - Mirage F1-CK and CK-2 - Mirage F-1EDA (if Qatar is included) All the projects are in a good way (only some weapons are missing).

1 pointIf you guys update, then please work on the fps. F.e. the ground objects. Making them in jpg format would save a lot of space and of course it makes the sim faster...
-
1 pointSugestions... 1) More F-111F missions, they did many (some said almost 80 percent) successful strkes 2) Divide Tonkas missions for 1st strike (jp233 / ALARM) and later LGB (SCUD-s) 3) Make F-16 the most important plane in ground support missions. (Yes, Thunderbolts were the best in strikiing tanks and armoured vehicles, but F-16 dropped the cheapest and still good free fall bombs.
-
1 pointI also have an updated A-4KU/TA-4KU in the works. Although probably mostly optical updated.
-
1 pointUpdated A-4KU F-4E updated to ravenclaw_007 and co's F-4E Phantom II - ARN (86) plus modifications to allow the unique inner left wing pylon arrangement the 3rd TFW F-4E's used to allow the carriage of Sidewinders and laser guided bombs. (In ODS they only used CBU-87 as thier Pave Track pods were late arriving in theater). The last screen shot is a LGB/ AIM-9 loadout from Exercise Gunsmoke 1989. ShowAnyWeapon=TRUE Avionics mod to allow A/G CCIP gun piper for bombs and retain all other normal F-4E Avionics60.dll functions. F/A-18D Hornet 'Fast FAC' using latest LOD and textures at combatace F-16A Blk 10 Fighting Falcon avionics, FM, cockpit and textures updated to the latest Team Viper standards. Loadout includes the use the GPU-5A 30mm gunpod for the first few days of ODS. CF-18 Updated to latest LOD and textures etc plus new pilot.

1 pointAlso Tonkas should be ready soon. British are almost ready, Saudi are not problem cause they are very close to british version. Italian are next to do after british planes.

1 pointhe's alive and talking, was the first one i talked to about this project in pm. he's given the blessing to workin on an update, but assistance will probably be limited to advice about the original. he has done A LOT with user made campaigns, but without details (cuase they werent in the conversation) i think he's not looking to do the workload to update things once again (my conjecture, not his words) and yes i was hoping we could use your terrain, although i personally dont know how much work we'll need to do to update the campaign itself to reflect the new reality on teh ground (pun intended). thank you for volunteering!
