I have seen several screen shots of the Taube. Please note that the elevator on the Taube was operated by wing warping. In my version of the Taube, the elevators should not be moving. If your elevators are moving, go into the file named Taube_DATA.ini and in the sections under // Control Surfaces [LeftElevator] and [RightElevator] delete any entries for ModelNodeName= and AnimationID= For both surfaces, there should be nothing after the equal signs ModelNodeName= ReverseModelOrientation= AnimationID= Or you can just download the plane again.

Thank you, Von S. I can only add that this same model can also depict the Nieuport 25 and late Nieuport 24 without a tailskid fairing. There is practically no differences between these planes, except for the engine and the split undercarriage for the N25 and N27 (the split axle was copied from the "Sopvitch"). Other minor differences are the size of the left hatch and the position of the air intakes (it's depended on the type of carburetor), but these little things can be ignored. In the game we just don't notice the split axle or one additional wire. ))

Hello again fellow flyers of FE2, Please find attached below Geezer's latest, nearly complete version of the Nieuport 27. You will also find included two versions of the general ini file, one with shadows and the other with shadows disabled. Many thanks to Crawford, Jeanba, Coupi and Mike Dora, and of course Geezer. Your friendly neighborhood FE2 aircraft construction team will now focus on the Breguet XIV, Junkers J.1, also prop disc tweaks for the Nieu. 21 series, and engine/prop tweaks for the Nieu. 23 Lewis variant and the N.28/28a. The Nieu. 27, like the Halb. CL.IV and other models, may be able to work in FE/FEgold too. Happy flying, Von S

not fully optimized Lod0001 can add to the load as well. Lack of distance lods has always been a major issue For our (Veltro and my) try these numbers in the main ini: B-17F: [LOD001] Filename=B-17F.LOD Distance=1500 [LOD002] Filename=B-17FLP1.LOD Distance=2500 [LOD003] Filename=B-17FLP2.lod Distance=8000 B-17G: [LOD001] Filename=B-17G.LOD Distance=1500 [LOD002] Filename=B-17GLP1.LOD Distance=2500 [LOD003] Filename=B-17GLP2.lod Distance=8000 see if that makes a difference. If not, revert to the originals

I was working on several luft46 models and how to explain in the Spanish forum the TA152H could not miss as the last piston engine hunting. received by request of some foristas, if you could do some short nose check I started working on that modification until visually achieving other verifications (not the whole family) was not in my plan a cockpit but create a visually static one for the Ta-152 and fw-190. these models unlike the TA-152 lost some structures such as the wing and tail cut unfortunately I can not take more time in these airplanes that were created to cover a gap the verifications are the ones that already showed that I will be launching for the download in the team banidos only I was flying this simulator, real life I separate the rest and I had to adapt to create and learn to model, I have more 40 models of my tutoring that I have at this moment in the simulator that did not see the light in a different state of work. one can choose to launch them like this (beta), or wait until some day they are correctly finished (which I really doubt) Sorry my bad english

Yes, you are right, of course. But on the 3D-model this will not be reflected in any way. )

I've managed to get through a good portion of Dale Brown's Patrick Mclanahan series of books over the past few months and it's inspired me to take out the B-1R for a few spins. Runway Destruction: Anti-Shipping: Bomber vs Bomber Intercept: Bringing her home:

Seriously ... what's up with the USMC all you can eat crayons? When did that become a thing? Is it because of their budget?

You are modest, as I have read, from others, that your FM is a particularly valuable contribution to the FE2 sim, and I say this not to slight the other very fine contributions made by others. As some guidance on my desires for the game, I would much rather have fewer aircraft with realistic FMs than more with non-realistic FMs. Can't say I am terribly interested in re-skinning a particular aircraft type with a particular skin, but that might change as my expertise level changes. First things first, I reckon.

Like most MiG fighters, the ’19 was a rough and ready hotrod. Fast, agile and powerful — it was also ill-equipped, unforgiving and brutal. Armed with three 30-mm cannon and Sidewinder missiles, and the fastest acceleration of its generation, the MiG-19/F-6 of the Pakistan Air Force was flawed but potent. We spoke to Wg. Cdr. Irfan Masum about flying and fighting in the ‘Pack of Roaring Power’. https://hushkit.net/2017/10/30/flying-and-fighting-in-the-mig-19-in-conversation-with-wg-cdr-irfan-masum-part-1/

Good info. Crawford, the 24/25/27 Nieups. are often hard to distinguish. Also possible is that the Nieu. 27 had strengthened v-struts and a thicker single spar in the bottom wings, in comparison to the 24/24bis. The 25 may also have been strengthened, although some 25s were just engined-up 24s as on the eastern front. Von S

Hello everybody, While, as you know, we're working on several projects at once, today we'll tell you about our the current main one - Bodenplatte. The most important new tech we're developing for it is the FM improvement to take into account the air compressibility and its influence on the aircraft stability and handling that is noticeable at high speeds. The late war aircraft are a pinnacle of the piston engine technology and they can approach the sonic barrier, especially in a dive. And of course this new tech is paramount for our first jet - Messerschmitt Me.262 'Schwalbe'. You may have wandered will the new tech work for the existing aircraft released before - it certainly will, we always update all aircraft to take advantage of the new tech so they all have the same modeling fidelity. Meanwhile, our artists are working on several 3D models simultaneously (some are nearly complete and the work on others has just begun): Bf 109 K-4, Me 262 A-1, P-47D-28, Fw 190 D-9, Hawker Tempest Mk.V and P-51D-25. We also decided to improve the recently released Fw 190 A-8. It will be able to carry 1000 kg SC 1000 bombs with reduced ring stabilizers and "M8 Panzerblitz 1" HE rockets and you will be able to remove the nose-mounted 13 mm MG 131 machine guns, resulting in four different modifications of this plane: Fw 190 A-8 (fighter) Fw 190 A-8 Sturmjäger (better armoured interceptor) Fw 190 F-8 (attack plane) Fw 190 G-8 (fighter-bomber) So, while it may appear we have only one Fw 190 A-8 in the sim, in fact, you'll have 4 different modifications. This is also true for many other aircraft - in one of the coming Dev Blog releases we'll compile the complete list of aircraft including the possible modifications. Since the words are best followed with visuals, today we can show you the WIP screenshots of Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 'Kurfürst', Republic P-47D-28 'Thunderbolt' and Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-9 'Langnasen-Dora': Our map designers also have something to show you today. In Dev Blog #193 we presented the early European map prototype. At the moment, th designers are working on the road network and settlements. The total amount of settlements will be around 300 including so many towns we have never modeled on one map before. To be able to finish this work in time while modeling the general layout of the cities and towns the special settlement block designer tool has been created. This is a small teaser, a Western European town made using this approach (this is not a particular historical town, but a test layout): You can discuss the news in this thread

I like the effect very much, adds to the atmosphere, especially for the Italian front. Would like to see something similar done for the Palestine theater too, such as sand dunes with bits of grass or weeds sticking out. Now if we could only come up with some kind of ini trick to make the trees solid like in WOFFue/RB3D, or to place some kind of field of "invisible poles" in the same area where there are lots of trees - and I will be very happy indeed. (Already happy with FE2 but it doesn't hurt to push it further.) Happy flying gents', Von S
