6 pointsFiat G.55 Centauro - 5th Air Regiment, Turkish Air Force, 1945 When the governments of Germany and Turkey signed a non-aggression pact on June 18th, 1941 the main benefits to Germany was to keep Turkey friendly with the Axis powers and to also gain immediate access to Turkish chromite and iron ore. In return, Turkey would receive aircraft, anti-aircraft guns, tanks and spare parts. For the Turkish Air Force this would mean the receipt of 60 brand new Focke-Wulf Fw-190A-3 aircraft shipped via rail as disassembled aircraft plus the equivalent of another 12 aircraft shipped as spare parts. The initial two batches of 30 aircraft were safely delivered to the new railway station located close to Yeşilköy Airfield near Istanbul and were assembled during the Spring of 1943 with initial deliveries being made to the 5th Fighter Regiment based at Bursa in June 1943. During the Autumn of 1943 the Turkish Air Force began to chase up the late delivery of the remaining 12 Fw-190A-3's and were disappointed to learn that, at Adolf Hitler's instruction, they were being witheld as Turkey had agreed to supply Chromite to the United States and United Kingdom who had jointly embarked upon a strategy of "preclusive buying" of Turkish chromite even though they did not actually need it. The Turkish Prime Minister, Şükrü Saracoğlu, intervened and whilst Hitler would not budge on the missing Fw-190's he agreed to send "other fighter aircraft from the Italian front" before the end of 1943. Turkish Air Force officials thought that this would mean Messerschmitt Bf-109G's but were disappointed to discover that the crated aircraft received at Yeşilköy from Italy in December 1943 were 12 Fiat G.55 Centauro aircraft recently requisitioned by the Luftwaffe but rejected by them. A technical team from the recently formed Turkish Aviation Association arrived from Ankara during early 1944 to assemble the G.55's and flight-testing was carried out by Sabiha Gökçen the famous Turkish female aviator. During April 1944, the unwanted G.55's were sent to the 4th Air Regiment based at Merzifon where they remained in service until late February 1945. Skin Credit: Charles

SF2 Fuji T-1 Trainer by Veltro2K 10/8/2020 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 5 Merged Reccomended) "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods" This is the release of the Fuji T-1 Trainer by Veltro2K. It was the first jet aircraft built in Japan in the post-war period The aircraft is painted up representing the 13th Fighter Training Wing, based at Gifu. 24 100% historical serial number have been provided. All markings, exepting the ID stripes, are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. The template is provided. Also provided are the drop tank and ejection seats. All weapons used are stock 3W items. When in-game, you'll see: Fuji T-1A on the aircraft selection drop-down list. As is always recomMended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Happy Landings! Fiat G.55 Centauro for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2 This is a simple mod of Veltro2K's Fiat G.55 Centauro to create a fictional Fiat G.55 Centauro in service with the Turkish Air Force in the 1944-1949 timeline. Also included is a Parani Army Air Force skin (in fact, this mod is set up as a Parani aircraft). INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the Centauro folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the Centauro folder into your Decals folder. 3. From the SOUNDS folder drag and drop the Bf109G folder into your Sounds folder. 4. From the WEAPONS folder drag and drop all three folders into your Weapons folder. That's it, although you might want to use the WW2 pilot of your choice. Please note that the 3D model has a tiny bit of 'decal bleed' on the port side of the nose. 2 pointssome carried EMI Recce pods British RAF Phantom squadrons were role oriented, with the early strike squadrons (6, 14, 17, 31, 41, 54 and later 2 Sqns) carrying 4 x AIM-7 E-2 Sparrows, 4 x AIM-9D and mixes of SNEB rocket pods, 1000lb or 750lb iron (GP) bombs, or BL755 CBUs. A B61 nuke could also be carried on the centreline rack, or the SUU-23 gunpod or an EMI recce pod (although only 12 aircraft were wired for that) or the 600 gall tank. A strike camera could also be carried in the port Sparrow well. CBLS practice bomb carriers were another option. No British Phantoms, including the F-4J(UK), ever carried active ECM gear, even those German-based machines at the height of the Cold War. The only regular ECM carried was the tail-mounted RWR, which was passive. It used audio, plus strobes rather than alphanumerics to alert the crew to threats. The FG.1 originally did not have SUU-23/A 20mm rotary cannon capability like the FGR.2. The RAF added this capability from around November 1974 at RAF Leuchars. There were no ECM pods used as far as is known. The Westinghouse AN/ALQ-101(V)-8 "Dash Eight" was bought for Buccaneers and Jaguars, along with AN/AVQ-23 Pave Spike designators for the Buccaneers, in the mid-late 1970s, by which time Tornado was coming on line with its own special gear and the ageing Tooms were flying air defence. Phantoms at Missile Practice Camp at Valley could carry a missile launch photo pod based on an AGM-12 Bullpup body

1 pointYes, I do. I had to do some lateral thinking. So I went into the data folder and found that two pilots were listed. I removed the second one from the list. It worked. The second pilot was attached to some kind of carrier parking system, much of which had been stricken out. So now the gay pilot has gone, it's working. And since it's a fine cockpit, I'll spend some time on customizing it to my screen size and preferences. The graphics are really excellent, and unlike the SF1 Harrier plus, the nozzle gauge syncs perfectly with my controller, so I can actually get 110 braking. Meanwhile, I fired up the EF2000, and at some time in the mission I dropped the centre tank. Imagine my surprise when I checked the outside view and could see a set of stowaway legs sticking down from where the tank had been. Once again, there was a second pilot I had to strike out.

1 pointDear Friends, It's the middle of Autumn already and the work on the project progresses well. For instance, the AI-controlled transport plane C-47A Skytrain (Dakota) for Battle of Normandy is almost ready and you'll get it in the next update. This WWII veteran served in air forces and civilian air fleets of many countries for several decades - one of the iconic symbols of the piston era of aviation. These aircraft played a tremendous role in the Battle of Normandy, dropping paratroopers, supplies and towing assault gliders. This legend will be finally reconstructed in our project, even if it is an AI only aircraft for now. Later on, when we complete another stage of the Career mode improvements, it will be used in this mode for transporting cargo loads, airdropping paratroopers and parachute supply containers for the troops on the front-lines. At the moment the new paratrooper model and its integration in the Career mode are not yet ready for Early Access, so this aircraft will be available in QMB and community-created custom missions as an ally or enemy loaded with cargo or parachute supply containers. The second hero of the day is the upcoming Collector Plane - the British Hawker Hurricane Mk.II fighter. This legendary early war aircraft saw much action in the Battle of Britain and later on the Eastern Front with the Red Army Air Force via the lend-lease program. This fighter actively participated in the Battle of Moscow and Battle of Stalingrad and the owners of this Collector Plane will be able to use it in the Battle of Moscow and Battle of Stalingrad careers in the coming update. There were many different modifications of this plane, the most interesting ones will be available in our sim: Hurricane Mk.IIa - default model with eight Browning .303 MGs; Hurricane Mk.IIb - modification with twelve (!) Browning .303 MGs; Hurricane Mk.IIc - modification with four 20mm Hispano Mk.II guns; Hurricane Mk.IId - two assault modifications with two Browning .303 MGs and two 40mm Vickers S Class guns, with or without additional armor plates; Hurricane Mk.II Soviet - modification armed with Soviet bombs, unguided rockets, two 12.7mm UBK MGs and two 20mm ShVAK cannons; In addition, either of the modifications listed above can be equipped with a Merlin engine with an additional boost, air cleaner for dusty conditions and rear-view mirror. The work on Tank Crew is continuing as well. The coming update will include very important changes for ground vehicle AI, both detailed and simpler modeled vehicles, making the AI gunner actions more realistic. To hit a target at a distance, they will usually bracket a target with gunfire as they find the proper range. Spotting a target to the side of the current aiming line will require more time the more distant it is. Both of these actions will depend on the AI proficiency level set in the mission. The AI gunner will also behave more naturally when the target is destroyed or no longer visible - it won't rotate the turret to the default position immediately, but will wait for some time, looking for more targets in the same general direction. Many smaller improvements and changes will be added as well, as we prepare Tank Crew for its official release. Enjoy!

1 pointI'm running SF2 Vietnam with RealSky and Green Hell currently. Good grief it looks good. I have Falcon 4.0 with BMS installed but I haven't learned it. I turned it on last night to compare and SF2V modded looks incredible compared to BMS. Well done to the folks here for making SF2 look and feel great!

1 pointFor now, I am focusing on the regular armies of the Warsaw Pact and then a few countries that fit into my over Israel, over Iran mod. But also regular armies. Such inferior formations like ISIL and similar have absolutely my disrespect as groups not lead by any code, morals, principals, etc - meaning I am not gonna waste my time for those (even if it is just a game). Meanwhile... finally finished OSA-AKM. and some missiles for it.

I was so sick of looking at the old Model of the Hercules SAM missile, that I decided to finally build one by myself. Learning the use of 3ds Max just for this purpose It's not a super-ultra detailed model with 10 thousands of polys, like you see sometimes these days , but it was never ment to be so. This package includes the minimum bundle to make the Nike Hercules system fully functional: new MIM-14 Hercules missile - 3D model, texture & .ini-work DaniloE31 (that's me) Nike 4x launcher - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 Nike LoPAR search radar - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 Nike TTR tracking radar - model by ErikGen, .ini-work DaniloE31 The ini's in this bundle are set to a network called "NIKE" and work together so they actually fire missiles at the Red Planes! You can install the pack in your ModFolder™\Objects\ , but in case you don't want to mess up your existing Nike Objects, you can also just take the following files: Weapons\MIM-14\Hercules.LOD Weapons\MIM-14\ Hercules_LOD002.LOD Weapons\MIM-14\Hercules.bmp and use the new missile. I used the very same Files & Node Names so you can eventually place the new LODs without the need of editing a single ini. I hope you enjoy it! DaniloE31
