2 pointsMyasishchev M-12 - Protivo Vozdushnaya Oborona Strany, 1971 During early 1959 Soviet intelligence reported back to the Kremlin disturbing news on the rapid progress of two of the United States top aerospace programmes, the B-70 and the A-12 (forerunner of the SR-71) followed by news that proposals were being made for a follow-on interceptor based on the A-12. Faced with two Mach 3 aircraft penetrating Soviet air defences (and a Mach 3 interceptor defending the USA) the Soviet Air Force secretly announced two urgent counter programmes. One was for a new interceptor allocated to the Mikoyan Design Bureau (which would eventually see service as the MiG-25 'Foxbat') whilst the other was for a clandestine copy of the proposed A-12 allocated to the Myasishchev Design Bureau and to be made in both interceptor and reconnaissance versions. The Myasishchev M-12 project started in late 1960 and is believed to have been helped by a Soviet sleeper cell working within 'Project Archangel' and although this was refuted by both the CIA and Lockheed the heavily reported 'cyanide suicides' of two separate Burbank couples on the night of April 25th, 1963 is believed to have linked to the uncovering of a Soviet sleeper cell. What is undeniable, however, was the fast progress of this urgent Soviet programme which saw the prototype M-12 first fly in February 1964 barely a year after the first flight of the A-12 and apart from the flying start given by clandestine means Myasishchev were also assisted by Tumansky's work on the R-15-300 engine originally designed for the Tupolev Tu-123 Yastreb drone and later modified for the use in the Ye-155 (MiG-25). Tumansky quickly scaled-up the R-15-300 to produce the R-25-500 'Saturn' engine two of which powered the M-12. It is alleged that the scarcity of titanium alloy in the Soviet Union at that time meant that there was only enough titanium for the M-12 and that Mikoyan were forced to use stainless steel in their contemporary MiG-25. The aircraft was officially revealed during the 1967 Domodedovo air show but unlike the Ye-155 the aircraft did not appear in the static park but made a medium altitude pass with the aircraft being announced as a reconnaisance aircraft. Entering service in 1971 the aircraft acquired the NATO codename 'Fastfox' but the M-12 was kept heavily under wraps and is believed to have passed out of service by 1976.

1 pointThe idea is that he will release the additional terrains/campaigns/aircraft as DLC afterwards; those who own the Complete Edition will get all for free. But, I totally agree with what you say. He could have handled this in a much better way, I think.
-
1 pointAlthough im glad he's placing the complete edition again TK seems like he's either have no idea how to make proffit or he's an ass. Why constantly put and pull down the complete edition? Is it just so that people are forced to pay for buying the rest in parts? Why not just charge for the complete edition almost the same as each individual thing then placing a discount from 400 to 100 USD instead? anyone that wants and can afford to get the game will be forced to either way for another complete edition sell or to just buy each individual game and DLC separately. Not to mention for how he wants to sell the game in his own store, the website barely runs and has a ton of dead links. And am i the only one that thinks the windows 10 version is kind of vaporware? For all we know its just pulling heartstrings to get people to spend money and he doesn't actually work on it, after all its been i think years to get a game he already made compatible with a new OS. And even if he is working on it, based on the store page it seems it would be just the base game for windows 10, not the other DLC.

1 pointView File Hawaii, Central Pacific (1959-2028) Hawaii, Central Pacific (1959-2028) Terrain December 13th, 2020 (1st Release) by Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2: Vietnam, Recommended Full-5 Merged This is a complete remake of the Hawaii terrain. Unlike the original one released by Wrench, which is not in full Real World scale, this new terrain was made and tiled from scratch, and it features all the main Hawaiian islands in full scale, with more cities and pretty accurate elevation details. A better looking and more complete tileset has been added. Numerous target areas, such as small civilian airports, have been added in order to expand playability, targets of opportunity and year range. This terrain features a fresh new 250m resolution heightmap (instead of the stock 500m resolution), allowing for greater details and precision in elevation changes; overall it provides the whole terrain with a better look. The terrain spans from August 21, 1959 (when Hawaii officially became the 50th American State) to December 31, 2028; it is designed for fictional clashes between Red forces (namely Russia and China) and all of the American services (USAF, USN and USMC). The island of Kauai is added to Red Side for better gameplay; imagine it as the first step of a hostile invasion of Hawaii. All mission types are available, including CAS and Armed Recon. Targets reflect Real World events as accurately as possible; for instance, some airfields will appear only after a certain year, according to historic changes. If you have SF2NA, naval fleets will spawn in the Pacific Ocean. Also, Off Map Airbases have been added and long range AI flights can be generated from them. All main targets have been placed accurately in their Real World locations. Ground Objects are not included. You can obtain the most needed from Wrench's original Hawaii terrain release. >Credits (in no particular order): -Wrench, for his permission to use his target areas from the original, smaller scale Hawaii terrain. -swambast, who provided me with invaluable help in tracking and fixing common and uncommon bugs, and for allowing me to include his exclusive Pearl Harbor Memorial 3d model (which you cannot redistribute). -gerwin, whose TFDtool has proved to be essential in today's terrain making. If the terrain is pretty accurate to RL it's also because of him. I included his very nice Airfield 7+8 Addon Pack, too. -mue, for the improved shaders he made, which I have included and reworked for the terrain, and for the tools he made for SF2 modding. -luk1978, for the waternormal bitmap he shared at the SF2 screenshots thread. Your mods are very interesting! -JSF_Aggie, for his great Hi-Res Runway Textures v2.0 which I included. -Stary, for the hi-res Okinawa tileset he made, which I have reworked and expanded. -Gepard, for his great tutorials about terrain making, in the SF1 Knowledge Base at CombatACE. It's a gold mine! -krfrge, who has produced a tutorial for recreating SF2-like planning maps, which prompted me to work on templates and my own high quality planning maps. Thank you very much! -comrpnt, for his Approach and Airfield Lighting Pack mod packages for SF1 series, which I reworked and included. Because this terrain re-uses some of the original target area layouts by Wrench from his previously released Hawaii terrain, I included the ReadMe files from his original package, to the end of giving proper credit to everyone involved directly or not. >Disclaimer: This is a freeware; yet it can be redistributed ONLY in other CombatACE mods/mod packages. Any changes to the terrain package's files and/or any copy-and-paste attempts of their contents are NOT authorized if you plan to release them in other mods. But permission might be granted to those who request it to me at CombatACE. This terrain may NOT in any way, shape or form be used in any payware additions. >My Terrain Packages: NovaLogic Terrains Outer Space Terrains Hawaii, Central Pacific (1959-2028) Timor, North Oceania (1950-2018) Ecuador, Northwest South America (1981-1998) Texas, American South Central (1968-2018) Sweden, Baltic Rim (2004-2018) Sweden, Baltic Rim (1952-1994) Libya, Central Mediterranean (1980-2011) Madagascar, Southeast Africa (1977-2018) Iraq, Western Asia (2003-2018) Alaska, Bering Strait (1955-2018) Iraq, Western Asia (1980-2003) >My Miscellaneous Packages: Ace Combat Nations Nations & Medals Expansion Speech Enhancement Wings Over World Menu Screens realSKY Environment Submitter Menrva Submitted 12/13/2020 Category Full Terrains

1 pointdaddyairplanes Look, I have this skin made by me, it is the faithful copy of the color with its respective patch and decals of the C-130 that flew in Malvinas-Falkland, the only thing that would change is to use your decals using my skin and the model would be excellent. of course if you agree. If you look closely, the only problem is that the edges of the wings protrude the camo and I can't find a way to paint everything the same color under the wing and this bothers me too much. There I leave a screenshot. Cheers
-
1 pointthank you SgtSaunders. most research i had said the colors were the same as the USAF vietnam era colors, with the bottom being FS36622 Camo Gray. r but i agree, it seemed abit too brown in comparison when i used the hex value for that color. so a light shade of blue over the original color but not replacing the original. it isnt this blue

1 pointMini ver. 9.95 FM update "package" included here for download: Dec. 11, 2020 (revised Dec. 20) - Includes a reworked FM for Stephen's beautiful one-gun (later version) Tripehound that was recently released. Top speed about 193-4 kph below about 500 feet alt., best climb rate about 6 m/s @ 110-120 kph or so. Stalls below high 80s kph. 10-20% rudder adequate to initiate turns (have detuned the rudder slightly from the stock FM). Ailerons are effective. When doing loops, use strong back stick but ease up quickly near the top of the loop so as not to spin out at the top. Good take-off speed of about 110 kph. Lands well at around 90 kph. Keep tail up until you drop below about 60 kph, otherwise with the tail dug into the ground at such speeds you risk a ground loop. Full throttle brings the tail up at speeds as low as 35-40 kph. Otherwise a pleasant type. Have also implemented MaxG limits on it so don't push it too much - dives are good to about the 330s kph or so, then the tall stack of wings tends to work against dives. Have changed the pilot seating position for one of Geezer's pilots that I have (see pic.) - so un-comment the default settings for the pilot if you like. Similar info. applies to the reworked FM for the early Tripe and two-gun Tripe that are now also included. The early Tripe has a top speed (optimistic estimate) of about 185 kph, and climb rate of about 5 m/s @ 110 kph or so. Dives are good/controllable only to about 240 kph on that one (with the early elevator). It takes off well at around 100 kph. The two-gun Tripe is now the rare, 142-3 hp "long stroke" Clerget Bf model - with a nice top speed of 198 kph or so, and similar climb rate to the later one-gun Tripe, at 110-120 kph or so. Have placed an actual throttle on the long-stroke variant, since these would have had some throttle control, etc., so using a blip switch on it is more limiting than necessary. Historical ceilings on the variants, etc. (Vickers now synchronized on all three variants of the Tripe too and linked to historical rates of fire and reliability, etc. - linked up with the various M.G. subtypes available in my big FM pack - those gun folders from the big FM pack are required if you want subtle M.G. changes across the various Tripes, since, for example, the early Tripe has a slower rate of fire, the other two are improvements, but none give 600 rds/min as typical of the Mk.II Vickers of later 1918.) Have also included reworked Decals and TextureSet documents in the zipped file, for all three Tripe variants, for a bit more gloss and shine on the linen, and to display British or French roundels correctly (since I was getting Swiss insignia in stock form for some reason). Also find included in the package my modified terrain data ini files for several theaters, and that are AMD vid-card friendly - to reduce flickering of towns and to improve tree/foliage variety (several alpha settings, among other settings, had to be changed, for terrains to look better on AMD video cards). Also included are modified cockpit ini files for the Tripes, for more field of view towards the tail. And, as well, find enclosed - per theater of operation - re-tweaked data inis for various Albatros types - that reduce mass fraction and structural factor values - to increase chance of damage (since they were a bit too robust with such values at stock). Happy flying all, Von S EDIT: removed download package - now included in the big, ver. 10.0 FM/realism package.
