Marines over Iceland. Including daddyairplanes's awesome F-4J (74), great for people like me, too dumb to fly Tomcats, but that still want something a bit better than an F-4N.

The B-52 Stratofortress or "BUFF" At the end of WW2 the USAAF was looking for a better aircraft to execute bombing missions. Boeing was awarded the contract to build what would become the B-52. This video will quickly tell you the B-52's history. Feel free to share your thoughts about this aircraft, video, and other aircraft in the comments below. Thank you for watching.

I've always played with the F-4J (74) a lot, and i was wondering if there was some place to find info about changes they underwent with the DECM equipment in terms of avionics and other equipment

was in the early days of me modding, and somebody else (mppd? cant recall this second) did the model for the DECM. Sundowner sent me a model he had for F-4J(UK) YEARS ago. which coincidentally is pretty much the standard that any remaining F-4Js were in 1982-3. thats the project i need to get going on

I do understand where you want to go with it, but on my experience you can go supersonic in this game easily in a 35-40 degree dive while the throttle is set to 0%. Not sure your game setup and the plane set you got, the pic is from a stock F16 which have machlimit 0,98 in the data.ini. As you can see it can hit 1,11 actually was 1,12 just missed the point as started to get bellow 4500m and the air started to slow it down. With an other AC that has no dry limits set I got 1,24, on an other that has 1,14 for limit in the data.ini it reached 1,32 under the "same" conditions (starting at 42kft, 0,96M, no throttle, 1-1 IRMs on wings, 35-40deg dive). And bellow 4500 you really start to feel the effect of the slowing, by ground level speed was bellow 0,96 or less - still no input from the engine(s). On a personal note, the parameter might have something to do with supercruise capability simulation/integration into the game.

for all the Top Gun fans, iirc most of the "Indian Ocean" scenes were filmed on another of the Forrestal class, USS Ranger. in any event really looking forward to having proper Forrestals in game and in house! v2k, that -133 gonna come with an Atlas ICBM cargo object?

is changing possible? yes, as i have a 16x in addition to the others these are the values in the flightengine.ini MaxTimeCompression=16.0 <----------------- increased from 8 default in mine StartTimeCompression=1 <---------------------- what you may want to change however, as i understand it you would start at your lowest compression and have to work your way up to regular speed. im guessing this is for testing purposes? EDIT BECAUSE I GOT CURIOUS: set the start value at 0.5. the aircraft moved slower than normal tho not necesarily half speed. the first time shift brought it up to 1. however it never cycled back to 0.5 after that. also tried a MinTimeCompression, no dice.

Avro Canada CF-100 Mk.4 - Fliegerstaffel 16, Swiss Air Force, 1965 The EFW N-20.10 Aiguillon was planned to be Switzerland's first indigenous jet fighter aircraft and was based upon an advanced design for a four-engined swept-wing fighter by the Swiss Federal Aircraft Factory. Taking shape in the early post-war years this ambitious aircraft was to be powered by four turbofan engines buried in the wings with provision that two engines could be shut down in flight to increase range. As the Swiss aircraft industry had no experience with advanced aerodynamics or jet aircraft it was planned that several wind tunnel models would be produced followed by the EFW N-20.01 a 3/5th scale powered glider planned to allow testing of the novel wing shape. The wooden EFW N-20.01 had fabric covered control surfaces and was equipped with a JATO solid rocket motor. To speed development (and reduce cost) the nose gear came from a de Havilland Vampire whilst the main landing gear came from a Messerschmitt Bf 109. First flown on April 17th, 1948 the N-20.01 was destroyed in a landing accident on July 1st, 1949 at Emmen air force base but had demonstrated generally good handling characteristics allowing EFW to proceed onto the EFW N-20.02 Arbalète powered by four 220lbs thrust Turboméca Piméné turbojets mounted above and below the wings. This aircraft first flew on November 16th, 1951 and demonstrated good manoeuvrability and eventually reached a maximum speed of 466 mph. Almost concurrently, the definitive EFW N-20.10 Aiguillon was taking shape but the planned Mamba SM-1 turbofans were way down on thrust. The prototype was completed in early 1952 and flew briefly in an unplanned 'hop' during a taxi test on April 8th, 1952 but development of the engine and aircraft was abruptly cancelled by the Swiss Federal Government later in the month. As a replacement, in October 1952 the Swiss Federal Government placed an order with Avro Canada for 50 CF-100 Mark 4 Canuck two-seat all-weather interceptor aircraft. Deliveries commenced during August 1955 and the Swiss CF-100's were initially armed with eight 0.5-inch Browning M3 guns (with 200 rounds per gun) in a forward firing ventral gun pack but were upgraded in the early 1960's to carry the AIM-9B Sidewinder air-to-air missile on new wing pylons. The upgraded CF-100's were introduced into Swiss Air Force service by Fliegerstaffel 16 and remained in service until 1968 when the remaining CF-100's were replaced by BAC Lightning F.Mk.58's. SA-22 Greyhound "Pantsir-S1" I have this model requested by compufat so he and I started to get the information to get thins ready to begin making it for a later time. Then my friend Michael Weinert has requested a model from me and we decided to exchange models and so it happens he has the model we needed. This is the model after fixing the texture. I should have it soon.
