Mirage F1JA (1987-2011) This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. Ecuadorian Air Force operated 16 F1JA. During their operational service, at least three of these aircraft were confirmed as lost in accidents. In February 2011, the remaining aircraft in the squadron were retired from service. F1JA_Late specifics: - R550, no R530, no S530F, CLB4, no CLB8 - radio-altimeter - Doppler Radar - Seat Mk6 - RWR SPS-45 Elisra - Chaffs/Flares Dispenser (actually introduced earlier, in ~1984) - Python III Python IV capability Covered unit : Escuadron de Combate 2112 A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered. 2 pointsThe tale of Ailbe Blaz Dziarzowitz Ailbe was born May 14th, 1893, from a relatively wealthy Jewish family in Stettin. His father owned a drug store, where he used to spend all the time he wasn't at school. Very quickly, though, he found out about his newly developed love: air machinery. They used to spend their summers on the countryside, near a newly founded aerodrome from where mystical machines made of canvas and wood used to take swift flights up in the air. When he was 17, he managed to befriend the son of one of the few lucky owners of such mechanical wonders, and it was right in that crate where he took his..."Maiden flight". As any could expect, it did not end well at all: the machine didn't leave the ground, instead crashing into one of the hangar doors much to the displeasure of the rightful owner, who was unaware of his son's friend's passion. Luckily the damage wasn't serious, and Ailbe got off with just a big, fat, slap on his face. In 1913, as fears of a new conflict rose behind the horizon, Ailbe decided to fulfill his forbidden love and to enlist in the Luftstreitkrafte. He hadn't finished his training when World War I began, and although he showed admirable flying skills, was deemed ready for deployment at the beginning of 1915. Unfortunately for him, he'd have to wait until October of the same year as he was hit with a rather violent bronchitis who struck him in bed for a good amount of time. He was called, towards the beginning of September to Haubourdin, Flanders, as he was going to operate within the newly formed Feldflieger-Abteilung 5.

1 pointOnce more into my breeches dear friends....... Some great stories and characters already developing I see. Some sad deaths, escapes and even a few victories. Who said the air was quiet in 1915. Paroni I'm liking those pictures of yours. I've decided to climb into the murky skies of the air war in Autumn 1915. Introducing Sergeant Kenneth Andrew Hardie. Born on 16th July 1893 in Fort William in Scotland. The son of a railway engineer, he follows in his father's footsteps until the war looms and then joins up. He is assigned to the 19th Regiment of the Royal Artillery (the Scottish Gunners) and fights in several battles in late 1914 and early 1915. He is promoted to Sergeant in February 1915 and in May, with the expansion of the RFC he applies and is accepted. After training on a Longhorn and then gaining hours in a BE2 and even a couple in a Fee, he is assigned to No. 6 Squadron and arrives at Abeele on 30th September 1915. He is the direct replacement for one Lanoe Hawker who is returning to blighty for a new assignment. This is Kenneth's story.............

1 pointI think the F-15 will fill the gap between the 4th and 5th generation fighters jet, and I think it will do the job since the F-22 project has been stopped, In my humble opinion, I think it's a cheap alternative to secure more, sell internationally and to provide air superiority for the United States Air Force.

Patrol over the Loos.Three Aviatiks appeared.They turned eastward immediately when they noticed us.We catch them anyway.I spend two drum my target. In the heat of the battle i drifted too east and too down.Enemys infantry ruins in Lens shot violently.Engine hit!I broke away.The bullet hit the left thigh. With the last strength i succeeded to land on the Boche's field. I was taken to a military hospital at Douai.I spend there over two weeks.Luckily only a flesh wound. After recovering i ended up in a prison camp.After only being there for a day i found the Sanitäre's clothes. They helped me get to the no-man-land and finally home.

1 pointYes, the default command to remove the text is the Z key. I've finally caught up with all the stories! Took me a couple of mugs of hot tea to get through all of them - excellent writing everybody, as expected from a DID campaign! Sorry to see that we've also had our first losses. It's always a bother to lose a DID pilot, especially when you've invested a lot of time and effort to develop him. Good luck, and fly safe! It's interesting that some have already encountered enemy planes several times and even managed to score victories, while others have yet to spot a single hostile machine. My pilot belongs in the latter category - it has been a decidedly uneventful campaign so far for Auguste. But I enjoy the flying and getting familiar with my sector and making up Auguste's story as I go, so I don't really mind it. Besides, combat will soon become a regular thing as the number of squadrons and machines increases on both sides. So let's enjoy the peace and quiet of 1915 while it lasts!

1 pointtheres a reason why the modder of all disciplines sing songs of praise on that. check your model, check a skin, check placement of a decal, hitboxes, animations. almost all able to view after saving the relevant ini or image file (a new skin folder you have to start then quit the game, but then any alterations within can be viewed in LODViewer

1 pointI doubt, that it is possible to make a F-15 stealthy. The design of the air intakes is so, that you get a perfect look on the fans of the engine. The fans are perfect radar reflectors, which increase the size of the radar cross section dramatically. IIRC the F-15 had had a frontal radar cross section of 15 - 20 m², what is a lot!

The last thing you need is the picture of that beautiful face when a Fokker flies up your tail! Raine, it’s going to get busy for your pilot and mine since the new offensive kicked off. Stay safe. How in the world are you folks seeing all these Boche planes. Gallagher has only seen two at a distance! I’m sure it will heat up soon.

1 pointYup, that's what I ended up doing! Fiddled with it in Blender 2.79... And honestly, there's no texture to really apply, but hey! It's in! An F-119A Vanguard, untextured but still in for a fight nonetheless... I need to get the rest of the hardpoints configured for A variant, but I'm glad the LOD is at least in! I'll get all the localization and figure out the F-119A's total armaments in the meantime.
