McDonnell RF-101D Voodoo - Voodoo Reconnaissance Flight, Grupo 2, Fuerza Aérea Argentina, 1982 After President Juan Perón was ousted during the short 'Revolución Libertadora' in 1955, US-Argentine relations improved to the extent that, in 1959, President Arturo Frondizi became the first Argentine president to visit the United States. Soon after, Argentina supported the isolation of Cuba after 1960 and also supported the American Alliance for Progress and also the American invasion of the Dominican Republic in 1965. US President Lyndon Baines Johnson rewarded Argentinian President Arturo Umberto Illia with a military aid package with the main beneficiary being the Fuerza Aérea Argentina who received 20 North American F-100C Super Sabres, 15 Convair F-102A Delta Dagger interceptors and 15 McDonnell RF-101A Voodoo reconnaissance aircraft. All 50 aircraft were drawn from USAF stocks and delivered during the latter part of 1965 and early 1966. The RF-101A Voodoo's were hastily refurbished by McDonnell to emerge as RF-101D's with all classified equipment removed and entered service in May 1966. By early 1982 the Fuerza Aérea Argentina's force of RF-101D's had dwindled to just the six aircraft of the Voodoo Reconnaissance Flight attached to the Canberra equipped Grupo 2 de Bombardeo based at Río Grande on the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego. During the Falklands War of 1982, the RF-101D's flew several missions to locate the British fleet with a final sortie over the north-west coast of East Falkland on May 22nd to photograph the position of the British Amphibious Task Group after the landings of the previous evening. In total, the Voodoo Reconnaissance flight flew 21 'Malvinas' missions with no losses. Skin Credit: yakarov79 BTW the terrain is Gepard's Rio de la Plata Bay and not the Falklands/Malvinas.

One day I will win the lottery and will purchase the code and instructions from TK, or pay a hacker to add the needed features. ROFL

Just got into the SF2 series and love it. Now the next move ,FE2 ,a awesome looking sim that my gaming rig can handle easily. Very excited about all the addons and all the mods for it. Will be getting FE2 in the next few weeks-(limited income) ,and will really enjoy it. I'm sure i'll be a regular once i do ! Love combat ace. Can't believe what i've been missing out on all this time. Better late than never ! Regards,Scott

The pilots were trained for such actions. In the so called "Luftzielschießzone 1" (air shooting area) it was common to shot on flares which hung under parachutes. The closing speed was fast and to avoid a collision the MiG drivers had to act very fast. BTW. While a night training, the flares on parachutes were misidentified by western tourists as "alien spaceships"

HAGGGGG NAAAAAAA DAMN !!!!!

I'm late for this survey, (so I hate you all for your choices) having said that I must comment that a beautiful fighter that I have not seen much in simulators is the Jaguar T2 or Jaguar E

DING DING DING! We have a winner! Give that man a che-root!!. There are so many things that never got implemented. We have what we have, and that's all we're gonna get. Having been around this game since 2004, I've pretty much seen it all. Even forgotten some stuff, too

I don't see the point of using this without a visual model. For what. Use wheel settings. With this you can achieve both a 10 kilometer run after landing and an instant stop HasBrakes=TRUE BrakingCoefficient=0.75 <-------------------- In Gears section

Then the data ini should get this modified section as well: [CruiseMissileAI] ReleaseRange=40200.0 ReleaseAlt=300.0 ReleaseInterval=5.0 Otherwise the "Tu-22" defaults will be used. Customize the section as required, Range and Alt values are in meters. Take into account the "I" of the AI ....

Okay, well the Razbam A-6E cockpit actually has moving shadows. A-6A, A-6C do not, but the A-6E does. It blew me away when I first saw it. As you turned, the cockpit frame cast a moving shadow over the panel. It's awesome. If you know how to dig into LODs and stuff, which I don't, you might find out how they did it. Did I mention that it's awesome?
