A handful of P-40N Warhawk/Kittyhawk Mk.IV skins: a generic late war USAAF silver, a generic USAAF olive drab over neutral grey, a generic OD over NG in Soviet colors, a Soviet winter camo, RAF No. 250 Squadron in TLS (Italy, 1945), as well as SAAF No. 11 Squadron in DFS (also Italy, 1945).

After the defeat in Malvinas/Falklands War in 1982, Argentina bought a non swing wing, light weight Flogger. The Soviets called it MiG-23FL. In early 1983 the first planes arrived.

that would be awesome, but like everything else in parked aircraft, its the games roll of the dice. i was just happy when i got different airlines to show up myself if you can get a list of carriers that flew in the major airports, i may adjust up a couple of hte airliner skins to be more specific to your terrain. it wouldnt be immediate, but if i reuse whats there i should get you a decent spread without something crazy like Alleghany Airlines in the mix. would be two weeks, but a shorter 14 days rather than a longer fortnight

As a first step i reduced the LargeParkingMaxSpan from 48 to 41 for military airfields and increased it to 54 for civil airports. So the Boeing 707, the DC-10 or the 747 can appear on civil airports, but not on military airfields. And 41 meters span are enough for the Hercules. Perhaps i should rework the civil airports and set additionally the ParkingMaxSpan to 48 meters, so that we can find two different airliners at one airport.

SF2 Grumman C-2A(R) Greyhound Pack by Coyote Aerospace 4/19/2023 -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 5 Merged Required*) This pack is the release of the C-2A Greyhound cargo/carrier-on-board delivery (COD) aircraft used by the US Navy. This mod represent the "C-2A(R) or "Reprocured" airframes as used from 1984 onwards. These are the 8-bladed prop versions. *This mod makes use of the stock 3W E-2C Hawkeye's destroyed model. SF2:NA is required to gain access to that lod. If you don't have NA, you may have to edit the data ini to use another destroyed model.* The aircraft is finished in standard USN Gull Grey/White. Serial number (BuNums) are 100% historly correct for this model, but should be considered generic in nature. 16 BuNums are provided, and Decal Randomization is TRUE. The templates for the skin are also supplied for other texture artists to use, and improve upon. Skins supplied in this package are: VRC-30 - original - 2009 scheme - 2015 scheme (various Dets) VRC-40 - 1999 scheme - 2015 scheme - 2018 scheme There are also some 'cargo pallets' as weapons, for loading in the cargo bay. (thanks to Cliff7600) As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! I'd also like to take this time to thank Cliff7600 for volunteering to fix some (most) of the issues I couldn't. He also supplies some very nice new skins!! *** Be advised, this model is being released in "As-Is" condition. As the model builder has retired, any issues not fixable via ini edits will remain as we have no access to the 3d MAX files *** Wrench Kevin Stein =edited for release 3/20/2023==

53 Years Ago Pan Am Took Its First Boeing 747 Pan Am introduced the 747-100 on January 22nd, 1970. The aircraft would become synonymous with the legacy carrier, bringing a new age of flight to the world. For many, the first time on a plane was with the type due to the affordability and opportunity that came with it. Pan Am initially planned for the 747 to begin flying commercially on January 21st. However, activity was delayed due to technical issues impacting the aircraft that was due to fly. Thus, the next day, another jumbo took the lead. It transported 335 passengers and 20 crewmembers from JFK to London Heathrow to kick off global jumbo operations. More than 1,560 747s have been built since the program began in the 1960s. The last unit of the series is set to be delivered in October 2022, with the final customer being Atlas Air. In the passenger space, the 747-8 is largely keeping the family’s operations going, with the likes of Lufthansa, Korean Air, Air China, and several government departments flying the model. Air China, Air India, Asiana Airlines, Atlas Air, Lufthansa, Mahan Air, and Rossiya Airlines have also been flying the once-popular 747-400 in recent times. When it comes to the 747-100, 168 units were produced in total. Of these builds, 167 were delivered to customers. This variant is still in service. Namely, the Iran Air Force holds a cargo modification. The department also maintains the -200C and 200F. Speaking of the military, the 747 has famously provided the role of Air Force One since 1990. This title is the official air traffic control call sign for a US Air Force aircraft carrying the US president. Overall, the 747, along with other quadjets in the industry, has fallen out of fashion for more efficient twinjets. Nonetheless, the Queen of the Skies is a favorite among the aviation community, giving a sense of nostalgia and pride for many. With over five decades in service, the 747 is truly an icon and will leave a legacy for decades to come. source: https://simpleflying.com/pan-am-boeing-747-52-years/

Not quite this day in history, but more like the history we're living through right now. Kabul Airport, August 2021, and the Afghan population storm the tarmac to try to flee from the Taliban who are taking back the country. US troops try to secure the airport to allow flights to arrive, load and leave safely...
