3 pointsI have added medals from an old SF1 medals pack mod. Some tweaking needs to be done, but the new medals seem to work flawlessly... I have made more changes to the _nations.ini: the Burmese Air Force now is called Myanmar Air Force since 1989; Burkina Faso Air Force is named Upper Volta Air Force from 1964 to 1984; I have added the Montenegrin Air Force, the Republika Srpska Air Force, the Belarusian Air Force, the Tajik Air Force and the Kyrgyz Air Force. Tajikistan and Belarus re-use the Soviet Star, as historically correct. New decals for Montenegro, Republika Srpska, Kyrgyzstan and Upper Volta have been created.

Version Patch 2

PLEASE BE AWARE; This release of TSF 2 is unpolished and is to be considered a Beta version. In short, there will be bugs and not all of them have been found. Unless things change significantly, there will not be more releases. Please read the letter below to understand why. If you just want the SK 60 or the Saab 37 Viggen - look in the Aircraft section. If not posted there, they will be posted there shortly. A letter from the Project Leader: My name is Jonathan and I am the project leader of The Scandinavian Front. I want to apologize that I will not be living up to the vision I had for The Scandinavian Front. The reason for this is because between my new full time job and all my other projects, TSF 2 fell by the wayside. This is not fair to TSF nor is it fair to you. This is to be considered a Beta release. It has bugs. The Campaigns have not been fully balanced. But it is a playground that you can play around with - just like always. But this will be the Final Release of TSF 2. I sat down one too many times trying to make it perfect and I will have to accept that TSF 2 may never be. Maybe some day I will sit down and release a patch to bring it up to speed. But today is not that day. I want to thank all the fans of TSF 2 for their support during this time. It has been invaluble. I also want to thank AngelP, Stary, Ravenclaw and my mate Paulopanz who have been there for me to make this mod what it is today. Without them, I could never have made this dream. Do not blame them for the unpolished state of this release, they gave me their all and I am very grateful. FEATURES Fly and fight with Aircraft from the Scandinavian Air Forces, including the legendary Saab lineup of aircraft in combat against the Soviet Union in multiple scenarios from 1950 to 2014. Campaigns include several intensive conflicts, training missions and a virtual museum allowing you to follow a Swedish Flottilj for most of its history! Now at last - Saab SK60 and Saab 37 Viggen are avalible to fly in TSF 2 alongside - for the first time - Soviet Aircraft in service of the fictionalFinno-Soviet Republic! More AI Aircraft to fly with or against! Updated Terrain Tiles, Weapons and Menu Screens. Optimized code; unused and outdated assets removed. Installation: This mod requires SF2: Europe. SF2 North Atlantic, Expansion Pack 1 and DLC 008 J 34 Hawker Hunter is highly recommended. Please be aware that without SF2 North Atlantic, at least two Campaigns will be unavalible. First of all, make sure you are using SF2: Europe and that it is patched to the latest version. This is _vital_. Check Thirdwire.com if you are unsure what the latest patch is, but the game should notify you if there is new patches out. Delete ANY PRIOR TSF MOD INSTALLATION! This is vital as items has been renamed, moved or otherwise changed. If you are using a mod, or plan to use one, TSF will mess around with settings other mods may be using. As such, creating a seperate mod folder for TSF is a good idea. If you only plan to use TSF, then this step can be bypassed. Go to your installation folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2). Make a copy of Strike Fighters 2.exe / Strike Fighters 2 Europe.exe depending on what you prefer and got installed. Name the Copy Strike Fighters 2 TSF.exe . Start your new .exe once, then close the game. Now go to your Mod Folders. For Windows 7/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. For Windows XP Users, it is usually in My Documents. Download ALL THE FILES into THE SAME FOLDER and Unzip TSF2_Final from TSF2_FinalPack.7z.001. You need 7z or Winrar to do this. Unzip the contents of the 7zip files "TSF2_Final" into the mod folder of your choice. If you do not own Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic, then unzip "Unzip if you do not have SF NA.7z". Read the Readme included and follow it to the letter. If you own Strike Figthers 2 Expansion Pack 1, unzip "Install if you do not have SF NA.7z". Allow any overwrites. If you own DLC 008 J 34 Hawker Hunter, unzip "Install if you have DLC 008 J 34 Hawker Hunter.7z". Allow any overwrites. If you own DLC 028, unzip "Install_if_you_have_DLC28.7z". Allow any overwrites. (Please read the included Credits file. I could not do what I do without the lovely people who helped me by allowing me to use their work!) -
1 pointView File Lightning F.52 & F.53 In order to provide an urgent counter to the air incursions, with Saudi towns close to the border being bombed by Egyptian aircraft, an additional interim contract, called "Magic Carpet", was placed in March 1966 for the supply of six ex-RAF Lightnings (four F.2s and two T.4 trainers, redesignated F.52 and T.54 respectively), six Hawker Hunters, two air defence radars and a number of Thunderbird surface-to-air missiles. The "Magic Carpet" Lightnings were delivered to Saudi Arabia in July 1966, with an additional F.52 being delivered in May 1967 to replace a Lightning lost in an accident. Lightning F.52 Slightly modified ex-RAF F.2 single-seat fighters for export to Saudi Arabia (5 converted - 4 in service). Lightning F.53, otherwise known as the Export Lightning, developed as a private venture by BAC; while the Lighning had originated as an interception aircraft, this version was to have a multirole capability for quickly interchanging between interception, reconnaissance, and ground-attack duties. The F.53 was based on the F.6 airframe and avionics, including the large ventral fuel tank, cambered wing and overwing pylons for drop tanks of the F.6, but incorporated an additional pair of hardpoints under the outer wing. These hardpoints could be fitted with pylons for air-to-ground ordnance, including two 1,000 lb (450 kg) bombs or four SNEB rocket pods each carrying 18 68 mm rockets. A gun pack carrying two ADEN cannon and 120 rounds each could replace the forward part of the ventral fuel tank.[20][nb 1] Alternative, interchangeable packs in the forward fuselage carried two Firestreak missiles, two Red Top missiles, twin retractable launchers for 44× 2-inch rockets, or a reconnaissance pod fitted with five 70 mm Type 360 Vinten cameras. 1 pointضرب البرق مرتين على ركوب السجاد السحرية I'd forgotten just how much of a monster these things are when you throw them around... Engaged a flight of Egyptian MiG-21's at about 5000ft... I extended to re-position and when I checked my altimeter after what felt like a few seconds I was suddenly by myself at 35,000 ft

1 pointThe Eastern front is usually sleepy but occasionally gives some fine skirmishes. Enjoying ver. 3 of Stephen's Galicia terrain below (looks fine even at medium settings in WineSkin on the Mac side and with the improved flight engine ini file installed - pics below are with dx9 only enabled). Now with the Aviatik C.1 FM modded, I can set up some flights against Be2c and Be12 types...recreating the goodness of the 70s' BBC show "Wings" . Happy flying, Von S

2 Mira Royal Hellenic Air Force 1940 The Breguet 19A2B2 served in the Royal Hellenic Air Force from 1925 to 1940. Initially they carried the names of Greek cities and island but were later given code numbers. 53 aircraft were purchased, including 12 from Yugoslavia in 1935, but only 18 were still airworthy by the start of the Greco-Italian War. By this stage it filled an observation/army cooperation role with 1 Observation Mira, under I Corp Command, based at Perigiali, near Corinth and with 2 Observation Mira under II Corps command, based at Larissa and Kozani. On 4 November 1940, a Breguet from 2 Mira located the attacking 3rd Julia Alpine Division in a mountain pass near Metsovo. Three more Breguets sent to bomb the Italian division were in turn attacked by three Fiat CR.42 fighters. A Breguet was shot down, one crash-landed and the third returned to base, though badly shot up. I've include both the bmp files and the layered psp files for those of you who want to improve on the skin or make your own. LloydNB -

1 pointThose of you using an Nvidia graphics card to run SF2 should experience a nice little bump in average frame rate by implementing this tweak: Open up your Nvidia control panel, and under 3D settings/manage 3D settings, scroll down to "Maximum Pre-rendered frames. The default setting is 3. Change it to 1, click OK to accept the change. and monitor your in-game framerate, specifically the average. I gained a nice bump in FPS from this tweak, on the order of 15%. Thanks to Brian Easy at Tech YES City.
