C-130s typically don't get people excited ... unless they're bringing supplies, painted in Blue Angels colors, or equipped with a variety of weapons and 105mm Howitzer. This segment of Quick Aircraft Facts is all about the AC-130.

Another update, this is showing the civilian airport location to the entire model, as well as the military airbase and the location of the hangars. I hope you will like the layout and if you need any changes please let me now.

Quick update: showed her the trailer, told her it's coming out next year and we're going to see it in theater... she said yes without the need to convince her I also said we need to see the previous one, she also said yes... I should have went to fill out a lottery card, probably would have won the big prize that day haha See you in 2020 Maverick!!

First make sure the figures in BRU-55 data.ini you have can carry the weight and dimensions of the 2x JDAM in question. A 2br or ter will not carry a GPS guided weapon (EOGB) if loaded at the loadout screen. However if loaded via the loadout.ini file and not changed at the loadout screen it will. Eg: Loadout[03].WeaponType=GBU-38 Loadout[03].Quantity=2 Loadout[03].RackType=BRU-55

I can confirm that it works which is quite new for me. You never stop learning You can't load GBU-38s on BRU-55 via the loadout window but you can create a preset in the loadout.ini file and it would work fine.

Longd story short.i've changed some gps bombs into free falling eogrs and ters and brus into missile rails. Not perfect but AI is dropping jdams anytime with nice aquracy.

Exactly. During the course of editing, the project can be saved as a regular texture file for the aircraft in question. Then, using Mue's excellent LOD viewer, you can see how the damage would look like.

Here is my method: 1. Load up a skin for the aircraft you need a damage tga for. 2. Open an existing damage tga. (I prefer stock ones, since they look quite good.) 3. Load the alpha channel as a selection from the damage tga. 4. Copy the selection, then insert it over the skin of the aircraft as a new layer. 5. Move, rotate and resize the holes as needed and delete all unnecessary parts. Since you do not have an alpha channel yet, there is no need to edit it separately. 6. Make a new layer between the skin and the edited damage graphics and make it solid black. 7. Select the damage layer, load the transparency of the layer as a selection, then save it as an alpha channel. 8. Merge all the layers, then save it as a tga with the proper name. (If you want to keep it as a damage template, then save it as a psd document before merging.)

Yeah, as usual a picture does better then words. So I made and attached one. This is the stock F-14A '77 and for this purpose I opened it twice to show the alpha channel beside it. But normally you work in the RGB *OR* the Alpha channel. Now this damage texture has the damaged areas above the nose section, which is obvious because I temporarely put the texture/skin there as well, as a faint overlay. Cockpit areas and gear have been excluded. But when you use this damage texture as a template for a new object, surely it won't be matched like this. Damaged areas will be on odd nodes. So then I move the areas around, photoshop calls that 'Nudge'. Sometimes I copy/remove/mirror some damage areas as well. But it is all a bit annoying since any such action in the RGB channel should be repeated for the Alpha channel in about the same way. In the example picture I show a selection to nudge part of the damage area, into a new place. When done in the RGB channel. I want to move just the selection area back to the shown position (or make a new similar selection area) and do the same nudge in the Alpha channel. Edit: it makes sense to start with a damage texture that is quite filled with damaged areas overall, unlike this one below. Since it is easier to remove then to add new damaged areas.

I would like to get your help and ideas on how to place the hangars. Please if you don't mind find attached the airbase layout you can mark the hangars and any extra taxiway you think will make the airbase look nicer. just edit the layout and post it back to this thread.

Because it didn't happen... they may well have mounted an attempt however the Invincible was not hit. There are a few "documentaries" in Spanish on youtube that detail the alleged events however there is no physical evidence or witness testimony outwith the pilots claims. The fact that the ship remained on station and operational before going on to serve another 28 years kinda puts it to rest. As a theory exorcize/"what if" the raid is somewhat intereseting though. Yes... several actually. So are we to take it that it is totally implausible for an official body such as the F.A,A or C.O.A.N to lie through their teeth but its perfectly reasonable to believe that the Royal Navy, RAF, UK Government, multiple defence contractors and god alone knows how many individual military and civillian personel to do exactly the same thing?
