4 pointsSome days ago a Kusnetsov carrier was uploaded. The guy, who made it wrote, that he had some problems with the data.inis. In the last days i tried to modify the inis, so that the carrier would be usefull. As i'm not a skilled object maker, it is a little bit difficult for me. But i want to show you the results which i have reached so far. Tactical number added on bow, catapults reduced to 2, instead 4, skin moved to a seperate folder, names list added Corrected position of bow effect corrected position of wake effect, changed shipsmoke to dark and placed on correct position Problem to solve: the planes are always coming in to high and will not land on deck. Kuznetsov ini files WIP.7z Has someone any ideas, how to bring the planes to land? Still to do: the whole weapon system.

3 pointsGetting carrier planes to do nice landings can be a challenge. For the aircraft carrier data you can check this statement, which I assume shows the left/right offset of the touchdown point, then the fore/aft point. Mues lod viewer should work to adjust that. [Deck] SystemType=FLIGHT_DECK FlightDeckHeight=20.10 FlightDeckLength=396.0 FlightDeckWidth=84.0 LandDeckAngle=-10.0 LandingAimPoint=-0.35,-75.0//................check this If that doesn't work you might have to adjust the aircraft data ini. A slow stable approach works best. Sometimes increasing the drag on the landing gear and/or flaps can help. From my experience, to slow down the approach speed, you can adjust the LandingSpeed=XX to reduce the chance of an overshoot. Here's the TW A-4B: Aircraft Data [FlightControl] StallSpeed=46.80 CruiseSpeed=151.52 ClimbSpeed=195.04 CornerSpeed=158.72 LandingSpeed=50.69//...........you can try reducing this. 3 pointsfor planes landing I think you need check collision points for deck etc...and or min max...looking at it in lod viewer deck has pivot set to deck but bounding box\collision box too high see pics of other carriers from game that work...top pic with text is the one you are doing

Because he thinks there is mis information with something to do with 160, when in fact I am informing them (and others) of the issues at hand to help. See, because you Rotton don't want to address them for what they are, doesn't mean its mis information, when in fact its helpful info for everyone. Look, you haven't help me since I been here 5 years ago or whatever, but what is my mistake is I keep having hope for you. I put that on my self. Its simple, I tried to show you your ways a few years ago and now even when the SimHQ moderator trys to help you understand things in recent times, you just don't get it either from him and consider it as an attack on you, when no one is attacking you really at all. lol So you come over here, which is fine, but isn't this neighborhood a little out of your way. I'd love to have a helpful you, but your not helpful in any fashion. and you mucked up my thread too, I'm not happy with that. :D

I build for the community Of course, we're missing a great number of aircraft for the theatre; from the beginning to the end. Need a lot of RAF/RAAF and IJAAF aircraft that are no longer available to the general populace, or a bunch that need serious replacements (re: wolf's Oscars for example; need total replacements)

1 pointView File Angel Interceptor V.1.0 Gerry Andersons amazing series of Animatronic kids tv programmes inspired model of the Captain Scarlett series Angel Interceptor I found freeware model online but it was crap so decided to model this one....shape of it is as accurate as I im going to do...only found some pics after I had done most of it,then reworked some bits as it is now. model is about 95% accurate anyways....its free so what you worrying about ?.lol OK... Includes... Angel Interceptor 3d model created 100% by me .. All textures by me with any borrowed,with owners consent... Normal map and speculars....attached LOD with no specular for those who might prefer that...fussy buggers lol...j\k. Female Angel pilot in Angel uniform to a degree........ based on a free pilot model that I adapted,if and when get a better 3d model then for now its what it is. AA1 Rockets The Interceptor used these which are internal in nose area Optional pylons , though the tv model didnt use any. Landing gears\skids ( G ) on tv it was able to land nose up on a launch table but this one lands\takes off conventionally. Animations... Canopy =shift and 0 stock. Flaps ( F ) Sounds..J79 I think is stock.....these are,some use F15,sounds,the rest are stock which leaves you able to put what you prefer. Decals by me. Also... Hangar and Loading screens by me.which I think are quite nice lol Squadrons and Nations... Copy these into respective ini`s .. Loadout leaves bit to be desired but its working and basic,for starters. 1 pointApril 2020: VFA-14 Tophatters: Based on the USS John C. Stennis (CVN-74) navigating Gulf of Dhimar in multinational "Operation Dragonbreath". Our mission is to help Dhimar counter the increassing terrorist attacks, neighbouring Paran is in deep turmoil and there have been repeated attacks against border cities, some of them even including APC and targetting our troops in the ground. During early morning we got a call from USMC troops, codename Ravagers, while on foot patrol they got ambushed by enemy APC's and infantry squads in the market of the town.As QRA aircraft we are sent to deal with the threat and help the marines in the close quarters of the city. The bad guys... At the carrier deck We were launched with a heavy load, so we need to refuel on the way to the coast. After the refuel, we head to the coast, apporaching Moshak Marines are heavy pressed, and we start picking our targets in the streets of the city JDAM away. The USAF boys are heavy at work as well. Rifle: Shack! Our job is paying in gold, but we're getting fired as well. But now the enemy is in full retreat, the marines were able to disengage, and the help is on the way... Is now time to get back to the carrier. Circling... busy deck. And parked, time for some late breakfast. The mission was a total succes, killed 3 BTR60 and 2 BTR 152, the USAF killed some guys on the ground, so I got this... The mission was really fun, had to spend sometime designing it to have everything in place, but it was both fun and entertaining, and above all I felt like a real pilot in a close quarter situation. I aligned each shot to avoid hitting buildings in the ground, and tried to follow all the procedures I read on real operations books. SF2 still has some great potential! During the flight I palyed a real firefight between US troops and talibans, so it was more realistic trying to save those guys on the ground. Sorry for so much pics, hope you enjoyed.

1 pointEdge, although it's not that great on a desktop PC, actually makes a lot more sense on a tablet PC where it is brilliant. You either have a porked install of Windows or your hardware is rubbish....because Win 10 is better than Win 7 in my experience. Is all this negativity from people being forced to upgrade for free or something? You would have something to moan about if you were around to use things like Red Hat 5 and Windows 95 jeez.

A well constructed, and well-written TUTORIAL, specifically written for NEWBIES might be of great benefit. All you old-timers are familiar with this sim, and how to set it just the way you want it. That is NOT so easy for a Newbie, and I reckon they will blow-off the game if it is too hard for them to play. Yes, all the setting-up is second-nature to old-timers, but to newbies, it is a confusing, daunting process. If you want this game to get wide-scale use, then write instructions intended for people that have ZERO familiarity with the game. V1.60 is a great sim, but the instructions for menu choices MUST be better written, and included within every download. Installing the game is sufficiently difficult to discourage most new users, sad to say. The fault is theirs, in that respect. Setting up the game, once installed, is another matter, and that process desperately needs a well-written tutorial. Submitted in all helpfulness." Laughably NOT helpful. When the misinformation related to the 1.6 development line ceases, we will be thrilled to help. We need more modders to keep the game alive but we will not do so in the current environment.
