SF2 DHC-1 Chipmunk Pack 2/25/2020 -For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended, plus Exp 1) This is a remake & reissue of the the DHC-1 Chipmunk trainer aircraft first released in 2008 by "Big Al". It has been reworked to bring it more into compliance with SF2 standards, as best as possbile. Be advised, there are a number of issues & flaws; they are enumerated in the "Notes" section. This is the full aircraft, with all necessary parts. The skin maps, still in bmp format, have been slightly repainted to allow the use of decals for insignia, 'plane-in-squad' letters and serial numbers. Serial numbers, while historically accurate for the version depicted, should be considered generic in nature. Decal randomizaion is TRUE. As exported is TRUE, a user list has been created. It does not list all the Chipmunk's export users. End Users (tm) are encouraged to fill it in as needed. While this is an exceptionally old model, the canopy does work via standard manual animation keystroke (Shift/0 -zero). Expansion Pack 1 is required for the destroyed model (Spitfire). If you do not have it, you'll have to find another to use in it's place. As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. Please see the "Notes" section for a list of changes to make the aircraft more SF2 compliant, and certain other explinations. The original release readme, from 2008, is included within the aircraft's main folder. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein -

1 pointah yes ...the world where 4 airmen are lauded as legendary heroes, but nothing is mentioned of the guys in the back seat of the F-14 Tomcats that are on the box cover and are thus the poster jets for that particular game (Squadron Leader/Unsung War ...depending on region ....5 ..its 5) not that i am complaining ..i bloody love it lol
-
1 pointtha is something i would like to ask , i have many Pictures from static Displays with this missiles and the 3 or 4 black stripes but i assume that this are training missiles for ground Crews or simply for Display but NOT for flying , i think the actual training missiles for the aircraft did not have the wings
-
1 pointThis is a training missile for ground crews, not for air to air combat training.

1 pointI own a book called Soviet/Russian Aircraft Weapons since World War Two by Yefim Gordon. Unfortunately does not talk about the training versions of the R23 or R24, only about the R3U. And this pic from the R73, will keep searching for more info and pics.

1 pointI've a feeling 2020's going to be a good year for Strike Fighters... some Guuruu goodness

1 pointIn german language we called it "Schreiberrakete". It had seeker heads and a memory device, which "wrote" all data, so that after landing could be evaluated, wheter the missile would have hit the target or not. Those "missiles" were always white and had black stripes around the body. They had never rocket engines or maneuvering fins. This picture show a MiG-23ML with training missiles for R-23 and R-60. BTW: Nice to see the different camo schemes of the planes. Every single fighter plane of the LSK had a unique camo.
