8 pointsYou hear my quiet voice and you want to sleep. Your eyelids are closing. You feel heaviness in your arms and legs. You feel your breath. It is smooth and rhythmic. FORGET weapondata.ini. !!! FORGET weapondata.ini! You open your eyes and wake up in a good mood. weapondata.ini no longer bothers you because you play in SF2 and not in SF1

3 pointsNo. You are wrong. As UllyB stated he wanted to have a specific order of weapons in weapon list. So in the loadout menu - when you are arming your aircraft your weapons are sorted. For example first AA weapons, then AG weapons, then bombs, lgb bombs, fuel tanks, ecm pods, etc...Any order whatever. It is just an example. I am personally doing this also. I have wepons sorted my way not alphabetically. Because I like neat weapon list not scrambled. So I have first ecm, pods, aa weapons, ag missiles, bombs, lgb bombs..and so on... But to do this you NEED weapon editor. And to have this you have to save weapondata.ini into a file but not in default location - Weapons folder. Just save it into any other locations (perhaps desktop) - I have in my install folder named '0_weapondata' so it is always on top of folders - I save there, ini file. Quit weapon editor and copy weapondata.ini back to weapons folder. Other than that in my opinion editing weapons/copying/ creating a new ones is much much easier via weapon editor.

2 pointsNot quite. High-poly cockpits, using complex hierarchies, excessive individual mesh pieces and esp. those using multiple high res texture maps (meaning more GPU draw calls) absolutely impact performance - period. Mirrors on/off has been known as one of the worst FPS impacts for a long time now. A decent rule of thumb in my opinion for performance testing is never just test by taking the plane up on it's own and flying it around "empty space". You need to test during the heat of battle with SAM launches, AAA flying around, etc. (assuming that's a standard scenario the aircraft would be used for) and another good test is approaching a fairly populated airbase and testing frame rates on approach and landing.

2 pointsHello ! I've play with your beautiful F-4G. In my opinion the problem is not the cockpit. This is more the game than your very highly detailed mod. For example, I've tested with the mirror on/off and their impact on fps with my PC, around -20% after activation. The game needs an overall optimization... for a long time ! Thanks a lot Ravenclaw_007 !!!

2 pointsI am not expecting anything. Just new logo win10 in the right bottom corner. For years TW was ignorant about SF2 community, and now it is even arrogant to deny any SF2 community. If only someone cared little and visited community forums - one would know what needs to be improved. We would have improvements dreamed for years a long time ago. But...it is better to re-heat burger from last week and still try to sell it. Instead, we will have a patch that allows you to run on w10 even if without it still runs ok. Patch surrounded by big OH!! and WOW, AHH!! and hopes, nothing more. I hope I am wrong.

2 pointsGloster Javelin Mk.56 'Dhanush' - No.36 Squadron, Indian Air Force, 1965 The expansion of the Indian Air Force during the mid-1950's saw the planned procurement of the Hawker Hunter fighter-bomber and the English Electric Canberra bomber in substantial quantities but Indian Air Force planners saw the lack of an all-weather interceptor as a problem and urged the Indian Government for increased funds for a suitable aircraft. Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru initially blocked the idea but soon agreed to allow a delegation from the Gloster Aviation Company to make a presentation to the Indian Government and the Chiefs of the Indian Air Force. With the end of the Javelin production line looming Gloster were proposing two new export version of the Javelin Mk8 to India - the F.Mk55 (Sapphire-enginned) and F.Mk56 (Avon-enginned) versions. Indian Air Force chiefs were very enthusiastic about the possibility of having its three main combat aircraft use the same jet engine (albeit the Javelin's Mk.205 Avon engines had a simple afterburner fitted) and urged Nehru to proceed with the purchase of 80 aircaft but Nehru demanded to meet the Gloster delegation himself to thrash out terms. Gloster cannily sent Graeme Kimmage, who had attended Cambridge University with Nehru, to conduct the negotiations and eventually secure a deal for 80 Javelin F.Mk56's. Entering service with No.36 'Trishula' squadron based at Pathankot in 1958 the Javelins only really became a complete weapon system when mated with the indigenous 'Baan' (Arrow) air-to-air missile which entered service in 1960. From this time the Javelins quickly earned the most appropriate nickname of 'Dhanush' (bow) and saw limited service over Goa (in the recconnaisance role) but played a major role in the 1965 war with Pakistan claiming several kills including three F-86's, one F-104 and six B-57's. However, with the MiG-21 entering service the Javelin's days were numbered and the Javelin force slowly faded away and by 1975 the popular and legendary 'Dhanush' had gone for good.

1 pointSave to weapondata.ini but in different destination than weapons folder.then quit weaponeditor.go to your newly created file and manualy copy it to weapons folder. Then you will hav your desired weapons order. You have to do that each time when tinkering with weapons. Otherwise editor/game will delete saved weapondata.ini.

1 pointA) It would be nice, but probably not going to happen B) Probably not going to happen, TK would have to give his blessing for it (much like for the code) C) A lot of the modding is free (There's YAP) but the community would probably up in arms about it. Granted it would be nice but I don't see that happening personally. I don't have enough disk space on my laptop to run DCS, and even when I had it installed I barely flew it, not interested in it as much as I used to be.

1 pointSometimes I wonder if a group of us could a) Buy the source code to the PC version of TW b) Get a Win10 version + bug fixed version going and sell that on Steam c) Use the profits to keep adding modules, jets, weapons, ships, maps, etcetera. Not everybody has time for DCS: World. Nor is it easy to mod for DCS.

1 pointWell, I'm afraid you are not wrong. He already stated, that the update will only include W10-compatibility and nothing more, as his financial goals were not met. So in the end TK can even blame his (already) 2nd class customers for that, as we all haven't thrown more money into the black hole "TW". At the time I spent the money I was not really convinced of him creating something substantial new and updated, but...well...even then I gave the money with a tiny bit of hope. I would be surprised, if all the money he got is really invested into SF2 alone... I hope I am wrong too. In my opinion TW/TK doesn't deserve any more cent at all from any customer.

1 pointI'm not expecting any thing other than a mild improvement in graphics.

1 point253 Hello Everyone! Summer has finally come to us, but this is not a reason to relax and slow down - the work continues. Work is going on in many directions at once, especially now, when in the next big update, we will see two major events. First, the readiness and release of the American P-47D-22 "Razorback" fighter, which will mean the beginning of the Early Access stage of Battle of Normandy. Second, this is the completion and release of the German tank destroyer Sd.Kfz.184 "Ferdinand", which will mark the completion of all the planned tanks in Tank Crew. Although, this does not mean we will stop working on it, more improvements will be made in the coming months, several are being designed and prepared now. Several aircraft, six in total, both for BON and a Collector’s aircraft, are currently under development. The P-51B, P-47D-22, C-47, Spitfire Mk.XIV, Typhoon Mk.Ib and Hurricane Mk.II are all on the production line at once, many of them are in a fairly high degree of readiness. For those who keep asking about the status of the Hurricane, today we will show you a couple of Work in Progress screenshots of the cockpit: Creating new aircraft is not the only thing our team is busy with right now. Having finished work on the airframe damage model airframe and control linkages, we smoothly proceed to the development of a more detailed model of fuel systems and their damage. After completing the next iteration of improving lower level logic for air combat AI fighter aircraft - maneuvering and aiming, we have moved on to improvements in matters of the upper level - the choice of targets and operational solutions. Work on the creation of the “Battle for Normandy” map has been launched on all fronts, its borders have been defined, a prioritized list of cities and airfields has been compiled, work has begun on the creation of ground equipment, and a list of development sites is under final approval before production begins. All these works are proceeding in accordance with the approved development plan and, at the moment, we have no serious deviations - we hope that this will continue in the future. In parallel with this, work continues on updating the flight crews for all previous projects, and a German pilot in early winter uniforms will be ready soon. And at the same time, owners of the U-2VS airplane, we have some good news: a special and famous pilot model is ready for this aircraft in three uniforms (summer pre-1943 and 1943+ and winter). However, such news, of course, is better to see than to read: You can discuss the news in this thread

1 pointThank you for your reply I was thinking of adding Arabic speech as the only one is available is Indian or Irani and definitely not Arabic. And I was thinking like you to have more than one guy talking. For me to start this long process I need the speech script first.

1 pointThought of that last week....internals are on C117,..got em to close when gears close up..atm so if its used with a c47 that has opening external windows...user can just link the internal to the int animslot.. in the cockpit.ini.. little more to do ..little things like the side pockets...each skin have to move them...as I was saving texture slots in max..gathering skins up checking etc..wipers etc...and trying to keep all happy...lol..... maybe day or so more should see it done...

1 pointRAF Debden, WIP. I want to show you, how i make the airbases. First i create a temporary tile which is simply a picture from Google Earth. This will be placed on the map. From this sat picture and old WW2 air footages i can guess where the single buidlings and runways and taxiways were located. Then i place the groundobjects on the guessed position. And when all is layed out as i wish i will replace the temporary tile with normal airfield tile on the map. And so looks RAF Debden at the moment:
