4 pointsAn interesting What-If. Would be fun to be able to fly it in a sim. Too bad Fairchild disposed of most of Republics records as wind tunnel test would be nice to have.

1 pointI've been updating Heberth's Raptor mod with new skins, loadouts, sounds, etc. The model had been released in alpha stage here: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/66398-wip-mega-thread/?page=3&tab=comments#comment-645422 The aircraft's 3d model is very fine. I also added all released updates shared at the WIP thread, including russouk2004's new normal maps. However, the 3d model misses external pylons! Heberth said he would have released the .max files, but only Modders have access to the Modders Round Table. I would need the help of a 3d modeler to create those, either completing Heberth's shared .max files, or by creating the pylons separately, to be added via Fake Pilot method or as weapons. An FM guru would also be needed; it seems thrust vectoring is modelled, but the animations won't work on the engine nozzles. Here below some screenshots of the work I've done; I added reworked decals from viper63a's Raptor pack (the one using the old, lower poly model by Dels), and I created a fictional YF-22 paint scheme for it.

1 point@macelena & @Wrench Here are the aircraft I was playing with to make use Air to Air rockets. F4D-1, F-86D, F-89D, and F-102A. These are more experimental than complete and I did not fly a test run before compiling them so they are as is. KJakker's Air to Air Rockets Mods.7z

1 pointThank you @VonS ! You have mentioned all necessary things. I'm new on CA, so let's find the best way for the user to get an overview about the BH&HII-mods. Greetings
-
1 pointHello @VonS, short info, after I have had contact with Erik: I'm a new member, so I have only a few minutes do edit a new post. With more posts I level up and get more time (similar to attachment-MB). At the end there is no limit to edit the post. I think, it's a very interesting and exciting feature, which makes CA unique. Thank you for your offer to use your sub-thread ! My mods-list-thread on SimHQ must not survive here only because I have had the idea. Important is to find the best way for the user to get an overview about the mods (that was the intention!). Additionally CA has an other structure compared to SimHQ. We will find the best way ... . See you later and Greetings!

1 pointView File Canadair CL-13 Sabre F.Mk.4 In mid-1952, the Sabre Mk.4 went into production with the first one flown on 28 August 1952. Apart from some minor structural and systems changes, including improved air-conditioning and gun sight, the Mk 2 and the Mk 4 were identical. Of 438 Mk 4s built, approximately 70 were used temporarily by the RCAF, all surviving examples being passed to the RAF. The other Sabre 4s went directly to the RAF under a mutual aid program, equipping 11 RAF squadrons. The majority served in West Germany with NATO, with two squadrons being based in the UK as part of RAF Fighter Command. The Sabre Mk.4 served with the RAF until mid-1956 when they were replaced by Hawker Hunters. The survivors were overhauled in the UK, fitted with '6-3' wing modifications and handed to the USAF (which had funded these aircraft) which in turn passed them on to other NATO members, with the majority going to Italy and Yugoslavia. WHAT'S IN: - 2 new planes - 23 high rez skins - decals, sounds, weapons etc. CREDITS: - Zur model - Ravenclaw temps - Wrench first SF-2 edition - paulopanz skins, decals, ini edits TO INSTALL: - all in main mod folder and overwrite Enjoy! @paulopanz PS: Canadair Sabre n°2 pack, to be continued soon. 1 pointLast minute save, strafed the radar right after launch The irony of using guns to strafe a target in order to save rockets, and scrape away a couple of full, brand new pods for going too low.

1 pointNot in the campaign. But in single missions you can fly AntiShip missions against convoys.
-
1 pointremember, there's 3 rudders: 2 outer fins, and the right inner fin. Don't ask me why!!
-
1 pointYeah, I'm sorry we didn't release this yet. We were working on a major rework of the cockpit last year, then the pandemic happened and the 3d modeller had to leave source files away from home. We restarted work recently with older source files. There's still much to do cockpit related, but I want to make sure it's a definitive release.
