3 pointsLast in the the RuAF-only S, SM, SMT series. With extra Toplivo (fuel) in the Xtra-large spine. Unstable to fly and not liked by the pilots. They've decided to redo it, the result = MiG-21bis But yes, the look of it is monstrous Now, where is RussoUK .. he has the MiG-21 stuff..

3 pointsBe warned though, it is harder on the system than current WOFF PE (can be mitigated somewhat by VonS GPU tuner), but I always found the title more prone to the micro-stutter than WOFF PE.

2 pointsMicrosoft Set To Purchase CombatACE It's no secret Microsoft is looking to expand its services and enhance overall user experience by purchasing companies such as Discord. While such moves may seem obvious to most, one move Microsoft is making has many in the tech industry wondering about the things Microsoft is planning next. To the members here at CombatACE are familiar with developers such as ThirdWire and Eagle Dynamics. Earlier this month Microsoft attempted to purchase Eagle Dynamics and take over the DCS World many have to come to love. However Eagle Dynamics told Microsoft to step off and tinker with their little flight simulator. Microsoft angrily shook their fist at Eagle Dynamics and then pointed to a lone developer somewhere in Texas and announced they would purchase his humble company called ThirdWire. When it comes to big companies like Microsoft purchasing companies like ThirdWire a lot of footwork is done. While doing their research Microsoft learned about other sites they can buy to enhance their user experience. CombatACE is the top of their list and Microsoft is pleased to see a humble community filled with amazing people, programmers, and mod developers. "It's like all these things we wanted rolled into one little package" said William J Tinsdale Vlll "CombatACE will make a fine addition to our collection." But what will this mean for the users at CombatACE? To answer that question we reached out to the man himself. @Erik "Well at first I was against it" Erik stated "We built a thriving community for ourselves and not some corporate giant just to come in and take over and do whatever they want with it." So, okay, so why is Microsoft buying CombatACE if that's the case? "When someone offers you a free slightly used $200 million private jet with a full crew, free fuel, and millions of dollars for the pocket. You just gotta ask where to sign you know. Besides do you know how hard it is to run a website as large as CombatACE on a daily basis? It's rewarding work but it's hard work and if Microsoft want's to take over I'm cool with that. This jet is awesome and I have a surprise for all of the long time members here. They can get 1 free trip." Looking nice there man! An inside look the dining area "Regardless of the direction Microsoft chooses to take" Erik explains "they've assured me they'll continue to maintain the aspects that make CombatACE a great website. It is my hopes the community will continue to thrive and that people will get a kick out of this obvious April Fool's article entirely made up by Skyviper" Seriously @Erik, @MK2 , Mod Developers, CombatACE Staff and Members, thank you for making this site the awesome place it is.

2 pointsHere's my theory. A joint strike task force headed by the DGSE with support from MI6 and the CIA confiscated the file. Years of surveillance and counter intelligence went into the planning of mimicking the 2Checkout site and making it look official. The file will be on sale next month in street side merchant kiosks in Pakistan for the low low price of 5000 Pakistani Rupees. I could be wrong and it's just a guess. I'm sure Polovski and the entire team is just as "not happy" about this as you. I read somewhere they were planning an April 1, 2021 release and I know they worked really hard toward that goal. Sit tight gents and remember a watched pot never boils. Cheers!

2 pointsLooks and fly’s fantastic, AI is typical OBD (excellent),FM? I personally like the FM,also really good DM. Campaign mode at the moment it’s Battle of Britain only so shorter in length than WOFF but it is Harder on HW than WOFF like Redwolf has mentioned, 3 flyables..the Spit, Hurricane and Emil. Large quantities of craft in the air (can be toned down). Historically accurate skins, great workshop settings, also like WOFF fantastic immersion. Devs are planning to Work on WOTR after BHaH II is released,it’ll get better and better over time. And..29.99 The Spit for MSFS 2020 alone is something like 25.99, so if you’ve got the system for it then imo it’s a steal.

2 pointsWithout american technic like planes and tanks and without the help of the american air bridge, which carried thousands tons of supply, Israel would have lost the war. It would run out of ammo, fuel, spare parts and it would not get fast replacement of shot down or damaged planes. Not to speak about the american pilots which had flown combat missions for the IDF. To survive Israel would have be forced to use its nuclear weapons.

2 pointsI like WOTR, particularly so because I tend to avoid mid- and late-WW2 sims. since I don't have enough free time for those - so the BoB scenario of WOTR Phase One fits really well with my sim. interests - you get to fly the early WW2 'crates which still have that inter-war feeling to them - some wood construction, some metal, etc. (this is particularly noticeable with the Hurricane Mk.I). The flying is very nice, and with my WOTR GPU Tuner Patch injected via JSGME the FPS stay healthy too (around 70 fps or so) (https://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4507751/gpu-tuner-patch-for-wotr#Post4507751). Also possible to install is XJouve's improved mesh terrain (bumpmapping), ver. 2.0, giving nice hills and undulations (https://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4526713/xjouves-terrain-mesh-water-map-for-wotr-tips#Post4526713). I have yet to fly campaigns in WOTR Phase One (have been in quick combat mode so far) - but the AI is of the same high quality as in WOFF. I recommend checking over the WOTR forums on SimHQ for comments/questions, such as this thread (https://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/4524707/1), to get a better sense for that sim. Happy flying, Von S

1 pointIdea for some 'what if' aircraft/ skins: the Israeli Air Force in the 1973 Yom Kippur war without ever receiving US export aircraft. France continued to be the primary aircraft and arms supplier to Israel. That being said the IAI Nesher would never have been invented/ produced as the Israeli Mirage 5J order was never embargoed by France. I imagine an order for Mirage 50 in the early 70's might have been highly likely? It's to early for any Mirage F1 to be in service. So by 1973 the IAF would have still been a primary Mirage 3/5/10 fighter/ attack force. How would these aircraft have performed against the SAM and sophisticated air defense network in place by the Arab nations? Any other good educated guesses guys?

1 pointQuick and dirty mod of the stock Yom Kippur campaign. Replaced Phantoms by Shahak (Mirage III CJ), Skyhawks by Super Mystere Saar and american tanks by british. Have fun.
-
1 pointSome years ago was an article in Air Forces Monthly about that subject. To make it short: High skilled, war experienced pilots were fetched from Vietnam area to fight for Israel. The only condition was that at some point they had had a Jew in their lineage. BTW. Its not true, that the Nesher was built in Israel. It were french made planes, which were shiped by USAF cargo planes to Israel. If someone has the chance to visite such a plane in a museum, you will find french made type signs on engines and the plane itself.

1 pointNot sure i understand. The F-4 could get updated ECM gear, while i doubt a Mirage could have been updated that way. Indeed, IIRC, the IDF used their Mirage and Neshers for air superiority, but that doesn't mean Phantoms wouldn't normally beat MiG-21s. On the other hand, Mirages can't carry as much explodey stuff for Air to Ground

1 pointFair enough, thanks for reply mate. Defo gonna be on my shopping list then. As long as I can blast some bomber formations and hopefully not die trying it'll be good enough for me, haha! Or y'know, accidentally land in France instead of England.

1 pointI can’t personally see you having any problems with that rig mate, you might possibly have to turn a few settings down, WOTR is really good in that regard but.. Keep scenery at 5 to see the white cliffs etc. I honestly believe that more optimisation will come in the future regarding WOTR, I’ve had no issues on a i7 4790k (slightly faster single core) than yours, 16gbRam and. Evga ftw 1070,

1 pointWell, sounds pretty good then. Thanks for the replies, yall. Might just look into buying it after BH&H2. Reckon I5 9400F 4.4Hz, GTX 1660 (6 GB), 16 DDR4 RAM would do semi-alright with it or am I lacking?
