14 pointsWow, thank you all for the praise. It means a lot to me. Really! I still have plans to update the tools: TargetAreaEditor, LODViewer and LODExporter. And first and foremost I want to eventually release a first version of the TODEditor! I know I promised the TODEditor since by now more than 5 years(!). And three months ago I thought the first version will be "ready in two weeks"(TM). But than again RL stuff, vacation, etc. ... happened, and I haven't worked much on it since then. But right now I hope (again) the first release will be "ready in two weeks"(TM). TODEditor WIP screenshot:

7 pointsThanks to a blue screen of my pc and a restoration to a safe point, all the last changes in the data of the Malvinas terrain were erased. so I had to rewrite, and I came up with an idea that maybe it could be what could be generating the tile limit, while rewriting I made the change, and guess what? The area that was not loaded correctly was loaded (despite in the tdf editor if it was loaded correctly) I am very happy. because the project does not die Sorry my bad english

5 pointsThe sun was already up and it was shaping to be a beautiful summer morning in the Med when we were launched as the Alert 5. As we climbed to altitude the controller aboard the E-2C briefed us on the developing situation.. A Libyan Arab Airlines scheduled flight from Benghazi to Damascus had turned left instead of right on clearing Libyan airspace and was now heading west, apparently towards Malta. Was it a hijack, a defection or something else? Our orders were to close in on the airliner and try to find out.. After a few minutes the situation worsened. The airliner wasn't responding to Libyan ATC instructions to return to course or to turn south, back to Libya, and two MiG-25s had been launched in pursuit.. The Hawkeye was trying to put us in between the MiGs and the Airbus, but the Soviet built fighters had picked up speed and the angles were all wrong. Then suddenly we heard an urgent call from the controller on the E-2C. 'He's firing a missile!' The Hawkeye controller was now broadcasting on Guard for the Airbus to take evasive action as the Libyan AA-6 began to track the airliner.. We were cleared to engage and I snapped out the orders, 'I'll take the lead. Two you engage the trailer' We both called Fox 3 as our AIM-54s arced up to track on the Foxbats.. But there was a problem with our missile. 'Looks like we're being spoofed' called my RIO. 'I've lost lock and so has the missile.' I switched to HEAT and went for a lock with my Sidewinders but we were still just out of range. In my headphones I could hear my wingman call Fox 3 and then Fox 1 in quick succession. Another Phoenix and then a Sparrow? Was he having trouble locking on too? After interminable seconds I finally got a Sidewinder lock and called Fox 2, but way too soon there were not one but two explosions and smoke trails ahead.. My wingman had killed both MiGs with his AIM-54 shots! Although his AIM-7 and my AIM-9 would hit the burning targets in the next few seconds they were both already out of the fight. But what about the Airbus? Had it survived the Libyan missile attack? I called the Hawkeye and rolled onto a course towards the airliner. He had radically changed course and altitude, causing the AA-6 to waste fuel and time trying to manoeuvre onto him until it lost lock when the launch aircraft was destroyed. We picked up the airliner at low level south-east of Malta... It didn't answer our calls, but made a single call to ATC at Luqa, Malta that it was commencing a straight in approach and ambulances should meet it as there were wounded aboard. I crossed to the other side of the airliner to give it room as it commenced it's landing run into Luqa, which had already cleared all traffic in anticipation.. We watched it all the way down to the runway.. Then it was back to the boat via a tanker and home in time for breakfast. Maybe we'd read what happened on the airliner in tomorrow's papers...

3 points(WHAT IF) THE ARGENTINIAN ZERO: During the 1990s, the F-16 was the predetermined fighter plane for every NATO allied country. Some countries even did its own versions: with the help of Lockheed Martin, Japan developed the Mitsubishi F-2. In the other side of the world though, Argentina was searching for a replacement of its ageing A-4s and Mirages. In the real world, they got the A-4AR Fightinghawk, but since this is a "what if" thread, I have the honor to introduce you to the Lockheed/FMA IA-16 "Serpiente". The Serpiente used the same blueprints as the F-2, but with some modifications on the avionics, and in the intake, to meet the requeriment of a plane capable of mantaining a low altitude flight regime without damaging the engine. Also, the Serpiente could be armed AIM-120 and AIM-9s, along with several multi purpose bombs and AG missiles like the Exocet or Martín Pescador. Painted in a low viz scheme, the Serpiente put Argentina among the top air forces in the world, competing with Japan, France, and the UK. These planes saw an extensive use in the FAA, participating in various drills and exercises along with countries like the UK, France, India and Germany. In 2015, the Mirages were retired, and Argentina made an order for 24 IA-16 Block 2, and upgraded the existing ones to the Block 1++ "Yarará" standard, to match the avionics and radar of the upcoming Block 2. The "Serpiente" is still in service today, with more than 25,000 flight hours in his record. Sorry for the quality, these were made in my laptop... IA-16 from the 6to Grupo de Caza, based in Tandil, Buenos Aires. IA-16 from the 5to Grupo de Caza, based in Villa Reynolds, San Luis.

2 pointsGents, she's just been uploaded .. should be up soon. Kudos to the team, Ravenclaw_007, Baffmeister, Soulfreak, Crusader, and Guuruu who all put in stellar efforts and have worked hard to get this as accurate as the game engine would allow. Here is the NF-5A manual for you to read while you wait. NF-5a_RNLAF_Manual.pdf

1 pointAll hail Mue, for his target editor. I cannot imagine, in a million years, doing this by hand.

1 pointWOFF and WOTR have many settings in the registry. You cannot just copy it across. You could have installed fresh, then removed the new WOFF folder and pasted your old one you backed-up (provided they were the same versions etc) and that would work to some extent, although you would need to enter your order number again and mayeb reset some options if you have some non default in the Workshop. Keys/joystick settings are in the .xca files found in another location C:\Users\<Your-Logon-User-Name>\AppData\Roaming\OBD_Games\OBDWW1 Over Flanders Fields WOFFKeys.xca C:\Users\<Your-Logon-User-Name>\AppData\Roaming\OBD_Games\OBDWW2 Wings Over The Reich WOTRKeys.xca

1 point@Adger... Thanks for your input, I took your advice and I've uninstalled/reinstalled WoTR, copied my mods folder, but didn't know how to save any pilot settings etc. Got JSGME going with my saved mods, patched up to date etc and the game now runs, and yes it was a ball ache... it's too late to do anymore, but tomorrow I guess it's sort through all my control settings and start at least an RAF and a Luftwaffe campaign and fly a mission on each just to get back up to speed again. Then at some stage I've got to do the lot again with BH&H II...

1 pointHi Julio. I have the six WW2 pilots in the rear row of your pic, which Geezer released as his "Desert Pilots". I don't remember precisely where, but they might have been included with his Fiat CR.42 or CR.32 aircraft, not released as a separate pack. I also have a German WW2 pilot and four gunners in different positions, all without masks, which he released at some stage. That might have been as part of the release of Veltro's Fw-189 aircraft, because the Readme I have with them says: This pack contains flight crew figures designed to fit Veltro's WIP FW189, but they can be used for most any other German WW2 aircraft. There are two different pilot figures - a fighter pilot and a bomber pilot. There are also two gunner figures that - with some repositioning - 3D model guys can fit into aircraft they are working on. These are the figures closest to the "camera" in your picture. The WW1 pilots with the scarf and overcoat collar turned up I think were included in one or more of the many aircraft released by Stephen1918. In the ReadMe for his MartinsydeG100 it says: There are two versions of the MartinsydeG100 - Desert and Europe. Depending on the time of year, players can install the pilot they prefer in either version: - The British Winter Pilot (BrWntrPilot) wears the reddish leather coat worn by many RFC pilots. - The British Summer Pilot (BrSmrPilot) wears the standard RFC khaki uniform. - The generic Desert Pilot (DesertPilot) wears a tan shirt often worn by pilots in extremely hot weather. I hope this helps.

1 pointHi Julio, as far as I know Geezer never released a large pilots pack officially, especially some of those WW2 pilots that he modeled. He did allow that the WW1 pilot with a mustache be released (available at the following link, with the BE2a: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/87403-tweaked-flight-models-and-realism-pack-for-fe2/?page=8&tab=comments#comment-780396). and also that the WW1 pilot with the green scarf covering the face be released - that one will be included in the Bleriot XI model, when it is finally/hopefully completed. Happy flying, Von S

1 pointIt seems Thirdwire BBS is gone for good. Don't remember deleting prev mediafire upload, but apparently it happend(hmmm). Re-up to mega and mediafire. IIRC saved 100+ more pages compared to the prev upload. - I'm not visiting these foras anymore nowadays. But TK's posts should help anybody else still wanting to mod/play this game. https://mega.nz/file/o8h0FDQb#hSGnjYs2zaqppl3wM-SN97L3tSp4RTzepu9z8NFDK7o https://www.mediafire.com/file/34nfyelvyl9tiwm/TK_Posts_ThirdWire_BBS.7z/file
