Mirage F1BE (1985-1998) This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. In June 1975, with tension growing with Morocco, Spain decided to strengthen its Air Force and bought 15 Mirage F1C that were allocated to Albacete AB. In mid-1976 there was still some tension with Morocco and Algerian and Libyan MiG-25 flights on the Mediterranean, which would lead the Spanish Air Force to purchase ten more Mirage F1C and two years later order 48 Mirage F1C and F1E. F1BE_Late specifics: - no 550, AIM-9 SW instead - R530 (retired 1987), no S530F, no CLB4, no CLB8 - no radio-altimeter - Seat Mk10 - RWR BF - no guns - 450 L (360 kg) less fuel - CC420 gun pod capability (under-fuselage and under-wings) - AN/ALE-40 Chaffs Flares dispenser Covered units : - Ala 14, 141° Escuadron. - Ala 46, 462° Escuadron. A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered. Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this. This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware. Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms. Enjoy The Mirage F-1 Team.

Congratulations on the first victory, Sebtoombs. A close call with your B pilot, Paroni. I hope he keeps landing on his own side of the lines from now on. This adventure happened in June. These week/months are fast paced for writing! The train incident really happened. Major Becke (originally a 2 squadron pilot) had been a founding member of 16 squadron and went to command his old squadron only to immediately come to his new ‘old’ squadron’s rescue. ‐------------------- Aerial photography was the heart of the work of 2 squadron. Sometimes there would be an artillery shoot and the pilots that had been there longer than Le Mesurier would talk of something called a contact patrol. Before and after those things could be done a BE2 with a Type A camera would have to go up and carry out ‘the work’. As wing commander, Lt Col Trenchard tried to foster rivalry between 2 and 3 squadron by showing observers photographs taken by their counterparts in the other squadron. The aircrews did talk to one another and knew the booming colonel’s game. They also knew how important the work really was. Between the two squadrons, they had already built up a mosaic map of the front and were dedicated to updating this modern marvel. Ashby cradled the latest plates for this endeavour as Le Mesurier eased the aeroplane down onto the grass at Merville. After the RAF engine was silenced, Le Mesurier noticed that there was no further noise. Clusters of air mechanics were sitting in the hangars they looked at the landed machine expectantly. A group of them came across to the BE2. “What’s going on, Butcher?” Le Mesurier asked the first to arrive. “16 squadrons are getting shelled sir,” the engine fitter replied. “Report came in about an armoured train that had been pulled forward to hit La Gorgue. The Major had everyone go up with bombs and a wireless set to put the fear of God into the Huns.” Le Mesurier looked across the river. La Gorge was very close, just a mile or so upstream. “Ashby, can you drop the plates in for me please?” Then he addressed the men, “get me some petrol and some bombs. I want to be up again as soon as we can load it.” As it was, Le Mesurier did not take off again. Even as the Ack Emmas pulled a trolly with the bombs across to his BE, the first of the aeroplanes began to land. “Where are you going, Le Mesurier?” Major Becke asked. “To help you, sir" Le Mesurier saluted from his cockpit. “Is that help no longer needed?” The Major laughed, “no; we made things too hot for that train to remain in his station.” I hope the arty we called down wrecked his rails after him.” “Very good sir.” Although June was not as hot as it had been in the glorious summer of ’14, it was still early summer and the evening warmth led the officers to the water’s edge. Some dipped their feet into the water as the exploits of the day were retold from different angles. As time went on, the older officers went further back to the ‘glorious history’ of Shiny Two. The first RFC aeroplane across the channel. The early days of reconnaissance during the battle of the Marne. The two pilots who were forced down behind enemy lines and not only escaped across the lines, but brought the British artillery useful information about the German batteries. Le Mesurier listened to all these and pulled on a thoughtful pipe. These were heroes, and here he was just trying to fit in. Of course, to everyone was idling by the river. Outside a hangar, air mechanics were stabilising a BE2 with trestles in order to remove the engine. “Do you think they know about the bodies that floated down that river?” Butcher asked the corporal. “Sarge reported them, Butch. I expect the officers will find out if more are coming soon enough.”

And let's bump up this thread with a few fresh screenies from the new year - I hope to find more free time in the future to return to modding occasionally for FE2 since this, I think, is still one of the best WW1 flight sims when fully modded. Graphics look fine, the FMs are in many ways more realistic/balanced than in RoF - and nothing beats the hands-on action of FE2 with its good AI. While the WOFF series may be the gold standard for campaigns, FE2 really is the go-to sim for quick combat or single missions. And where else can you fly the Morane Saulnier Type N (with the exception of the now ancient Red Baron II/3D). Happy flying all, Von S

This cockpit repaint is purposed to improve the existing F-104 A/C/G cockpit texture distributed through the F-104 packs available in Combatace. Many improvements took place to make a more unified look of the cockpit and remove some photographic feel of the existing pit texture set installation ------------------------ 1. Locate your F-104 subfolder under your mod/Objects/Aircraft folder 2. Overwrite the files under Cockpit folder.

Thanks for the kind words. Seems like, theres still some interest in those skins. You'll need patience though...as you can see, there's still enough to do. Hangarscreens and stuff like that are also still missing for many skins. Green = Skin ready Dark Green = same Skin for 2 variants needed (for the faulty SF2 upgrade-function in campaigns -> only plane OR skin can be upgraded) Blue = 2 Skins for 1 deployment (gray + camo) Orange = older skin in lower resolution has to be reworked. White = not done yet. Nevertheless, I just found some more skins in a backup: VMA-214 Black Sheep, 6/1965 - 2/1966, Chu Lai AB, A-4C VMA-214 Black Sheep, 3/1966 - 4/1967, Chu Lai AB, A-4C VMA-223 Det. T Bulldogs, 10/1964 - 5/1965, USS Yorktown, A-4C VA-56 Champions, 11/1966 - 7/1967, USS Enterprise, A-4C VA-212 Rampant Raiders, 10/1964 - 5/1965, USS Hancock, A-4E

BACKSTORY: In 2014, with the Mirage retirement in mind, Argentina started a competition to decide wich plane was going to replace it in the near future. Due to the strategic position of the country and the abundance of resources, the contest ended up having various options: the F/A-18E/F, the Tejas MK1 and MK2, the Gripen, the Su-30, the MiG-35, the J-10CE and the Rafale, all with unique variants to fill the needs of the Argentinian Air Force. The chosen plane was the Rafale. The Argentinian Ministry of Defence agreed on 18 planes, 12 Rafale EA-2s and 4 Rafale DAs. The Rafale EA-2 is an advanced variant of the Rafale F4, equipped with AESA radar and Conformal Fuel Tanks. It can fire the MBDA MICA missiles, along with some russian ordenance. This is because Dassault, Argentina and Russia agreed to replace the british parts with russian parts in the exchange of Argentina buying and equipping the Rafale with russian precise guided munitions. The Argentinian Rafale participated in various exercises with NATO and eastern side countries, like the "ECOAS I", where the Argentinian pilots showed its great ability to fly low, "sinking" the USS George Bush. Special thanks to JAT81500, for releasing the Dassault Rafale F4, wich is used as the Dassault Rafale EA-2 And ThirdWire, for this amazing sim, that I love and play almost everyday... I hope you enjoy this mod as much as I do. Have a good flight! Good hunting!

Paroni I'm enjoying Armand's Diary, thanks! Maeran I absolutely love Le Mesurier fighting spirit. I can't get an image of John Le Mesurier out of my mind as I read! Mfair loving the story so far! "The weather worsened as did The Hun" 1 July - 5 July As June turned to July the weather worsened as did The Hun. There's talk of some single-deck scouts causing havoc for the french - thank the Lord I've not seen one yet. They apparently fire in the direction the plane is flying - that would make life a lot easier. We've had some very heavy weather - storms that drown out the front and make flying a hairy old business. The early July weather has been a poor show indeed! By the 4th of July, the weather has improved and we were back to clear skies. The Boch wanted to capitalise on this and started bombing Dunkirk and St.Pol-sur-Mer with gay-abandon. The cads! At 0500 on the 5th, we were scrambled to two Aviatiks loitering overhead at about 8000 feet. I reckon, if I can get my mixture right, I climb best at about 45-50 knots. I set off after the blighters climbing the whole way. They either didn't see us or were pushing their luck grossly outstaying their welcome by bombing our hangers. When I passed through 6000 feet they got the wind-up and started to make for home. I wasn't having it, and gave chase - hoping to down one our side of the lines this time. It was a long and protracted business. Involving much bobbing and weaving but we did it, bringing one down our side of the lines in the woods southeast of Nieuport. The claim is pending. Dodging and DIving with an Aviatik BI The Boss is delighted and says that for a Runt of 19 I'm doing a hell of a man's job! High praise indeed.

July 8 Armand's Diary Navigation training and knowledging of landmarks on the flat land of Flanders. It was peaceful day although rainy. July 11 Offensive patrol to Haubordin aerodrome(Boches!) Weather very nice,no clouds. Engage against several Aviatiks but result was unsatisfactory for us.All ammo used but claim went Adjutant Le Sort. July 13 Capitaine Fauvre and his observer made crash landing and hospitalised. July 14 Patrol on your side, destination La Gourge railway junction. Thunderstorms, our plane was like a kite in that weather! No enemies sighted.

" We're getting there, we will beat this thing and make enough medication for the World that we can finally put this behind us." I've thought about your writing this for a couple of weeks, and forgive me for being pessimistic: I wish I had your faith. (I'll try & be brief) After so many years of seeing the worst of humanity both close-up & afar, I had very little faith left in humanity to begin with. Since this pandemic began, even that small amount has died. I have not been surprised at the absolute idiocy, selfishness, and unthinking arrogance of so many people refusing to take even the basic precautions against either contracting it themselves, or likewise no attempt to prevent spreading it to other...all in the name of some "freedoms" they claim are being violated, but choose not consider, understand, or even care that they are literally killing themselves and others. Even with all the information available at their fingertips, so many of us would rather read some DS online, or watch some BS on television, rather than listen to what real experts around the world have been have been begging all of us to do since this whole thing started: Wear a mask, practice social distancing, and FFS get vaccinated. It's hard for me to be optimistic about things getting better when there's the constant drumbeat of the cycle of infection & death that's all you ever read about. And how the very medical professionals that are so desperately trying to save as many as they can, are being burned out, as well as being vilified for not saving those who made no effort to save themselves. And I see how horrifyingly easy it has been for people with their own agendas to strip away the most innate parental, personal, and social instincts from people that listen to and follow them. If nothing else, the spectre of racking up horrific medical bills that with ruin them & their families financially, whether they live or die after contracting the disease should be a deterrent. That's simple idiocy. " We're getting there, we will beat this thing and make enough medication for the World that we can finally put this behind us." I hope you're right. I truly do.

Having some fun in an SE5a campaign. Lots of power and great field of view. Just need to Boom & Zoom rather than turn fight usually. At least until I have them nicely damaged.

Sandbagger has hosted two skins Mods for me. The first one contains 290 new fighter and two-seater skins. No WOFF Skin Pack Skins are overwritten by any of these. The other Mod, Alternative Skins, has 81 fighter and two-seaters. Some are just personal skins that I thought someone else might enjoy using but most of them replace a WOFF Skin Pack skin. The reasons for these alternatives are given in detail in the ReadMe file, so look that over well. If you do not want some of these skins, please follow the information provided in the “Managing your skins” section of the ReadMe Files. If you have any of my old UE/PE Mods I recommend you remove and or delete them. Many of these skins are improved versions of them. Not all of them have been replaced by this Mod but will be in the upcoming one. The screenshots shown here are only a sampling. Detailed Explanations of the sources and rational used in making these skins can be found in the ReadMe Files for each Mod.

Another pic from my DH2 campaign with RFC 32. The DH2 has its limitations as anyone who's flown it in WOFF knows, but when flown properly it is great fun.

Better CCIP mod for SF1/2 series. This mod will prevent the CCIP and Gunsight dot from showing through any solid part of your cockpit. Leading to a much authentic bombing procedure. In SF1, this is done without any harm. In SF2, I have to remove 2 effect shaders which are used when your effect setting is at "Unlimited". So you lose some not-so-obvious effect. Installation ------------ For SF1, just extract the file to the 'objects' folder For SF2, first extract the file in the 'objects' folder in your mod folder, then follow the procedure mentioned in the "Special note for SF2 users" to complete it. Credit ------- Create: orsin (china insky team) Beta testing: HoneyFox (china insky team) Update --------- V1.0 initial release V1.1 fixed a problem in SF2
