I added some small islands east of Energodar. Perhaps i will do some work on the north coast of Energodar. Finally all trees are "planted". Ground combat at the bottle neck of the Crimean Peninsula added. So CAS missions are possible now. My attempt to make battlegrounds between Cherson and Nikolajew, which are relevant today, failed. I got strange results. The game was doing what it wanted, not what it should do. I'm not sure wheter i can release a new Beta this weekend. But i think someday in the next week it will happen. Work started on the Su 35

Dear Friends, The work continues. At the moment we're working on the schedule of the new project, new techs, compiling design documents for the new aircraft and other objects - and along with all that we're developing the six Collector Planes, some of which will be released before the end of this year and some in the beginning of the next one. One of them is the British fighter Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIVe "Bubbletop". Unlike the Spitfire Mk.XIV already existing in the sim, this one has a bubble canopy without the dorsal fuselage spine. Many WWII fighters had such modification - the goal was the improved backward field of view. However, the dorsal spine wasn't there for nothing - it provided better aerodynamics via better airflow behind the canopy, reducing total drag of the aircraft. Nearly all pre-war aircraft designs had it because of a bit higher speed, but the actual war, as it usually does in human history, set the priorities differently. In the beginning of the war two Axis design bureaus tried a different canopy and rear fuselage design: there were Focke-Wulf Fw 190 designed by Kurt Tank and Mitsubishi A6M Zero designed by Jiro Horikoshi. They weren't the first fighters with bubble canopies and without a dorsal spine behind, but they were the fighters that were quite numerous and affected the air battles on either side of the Earth. The bubble canopy without the dorsal spine affected the aerodynamics negatively, but it gave the pilots much better view backwards - this was noted not only by them, but by their adversaries as well, since an air engagement was usually initiated by a sudden attack from a blind zone. Soviet engineers created bubble canopy modifications of the existing aircraft in the end of 1942 and in 1943 these models were produced on a massive scale. Their Western colleagues adopted it later and bubble canopy modifications began to emerge in 1944. Bubbletop Spitfire Mk.XIV appeared a year after the initial design, in April 1945. In Great Battles, Spitfire Mk.XIVe "bubbletop" will have two wing variations - with long (fighter) and short (photo recon) wingtips. As we always do, there will be other modifications included. Spitfire Mk.XIVe bubbletop will be released in the beginning of the next Spring, which is a bit symbolic, since, as we mentioned above, the real fighter appeared on the front during Spring 1945.

I do not know with ships but from AI they drop torpedos very nice and they go underwater and you can see their swiming trails under water. But if you launch them by yourself they go crazy and drive themselves as they want in their own brain. My torpedos and hellicopters are modifyed but look at SH-3D, HS9_SeaKing and their torpedos MK46, Mk44 or... Better i write to you personaly with ini datas list

Yes I would love to see the Super Hornet block III with a new cockpit. I wish I could help in this but I'm not specialist nor I have the knowledge of cockpit making.

For that specific timeframe, it might be interesting to see the F-104s or the F-5s, you would think the US never used these in combat.

Ahh I see. I'd like to do a Block III Super Hornet but I don't have anybody to make the cockpit yet. I've been doing other things so I haven't focused on it. If somebody would like to do the cockpit for a Block III Super Hornet PM me and we'll get it started. I guess that's my pitch for a road map entry. The rest I can do myself, such as skins and the like but yeah, if somebody can do a proper cockpit that would be great.

I'm not the best person to ask this, but i hope for an updated (or new mod) for Rafale mod. @JAT81500's Rafale mod is really great but it was originally released in 2014 and the "What if" Rafale F.4 in 2014 is now become real in 2022 (Rafale F.4 seems aim to be operationnal in 2023 and they started to talk about Rafale F.5 with possibility to combined to SCAF program), and some data are now more "clearer" than before back to 2014. Other than that i just hope to see more Chinese modern jet + to see @torno's 4th and 5th gen model come life one day Wish you to every modders good luck on your work, you make this game still fun to play even in 2022.
