5 pointsNot to go off topic too much, but some feedback as to the status of the Third Wire store since it's being discussed here...I bought SFI from the store about a month or 2 ago. Upon purchase I was immediately presented with a link to download SFI, but I didn't receive an email with my key for future downloads. The problem seemed to be related to the third wire store having an old email address from the time when I bought SFE and SFNA and then not having the opportunity to change it when I made my new purchase. So I emailed Third Wire customer support with a copy of my paypal receipt and I received an email with my new key the same day. Very good customer service as far as I'm concerned.

3 pointsThe key factor is in the basic ini of this aircraft We need to find AvionicsDLL = Avionics70.dll (or 60) then changed to AvionicsDLL=AvionicsF14A.dll There is a price for doing this, as we will completely lose the ability of the radar to scan and map the ground. So far, I have only applied this module on the F-22A, because the weapons it can carry are very limited (for example, ground weapons can basically only use GBU-32 or GBU-39), and it is an air superiority fighter, so it doesn't really matter. If I was flying a multirole fighter like the F-35 or F-18, I wouldn't be willing to make compromises

While upgrading the old Su-25s to Su-25M1/M1K, Ukraine also digitized their camouflage to make them more modern inside and out. 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade is currently operating Su-25M1/M1K, this mod is based on this unit as a prototype, I picked some numbers(From 30-51), but according to the wiki, the Blue 39/49 of the brigade had been shot down, so I deleted them. I originally made it for my personal campaign "West Wind", but I also hope that more people will get it Special thanks to: ShaKhrai, in order to save time, I asked his permission to use his existing files for deep editing; paulopanz, who contributed a refined Su-25 mod to our community; Usage: 1. Put the "299_TAB" folder into your Su-25 mod; 2. Put the "Su-25M1_Ukr" folder into: your SF2 directory\Objects\Decals; 3. Start the game and read your Su-25, the game will automatically read the data. Su_25M1_299_TAB.zip -
2 pointsThe Banidos team had the J-20 prototype in the works and long time ago shared a Beta version to people who followed their work online. That Beta version has some key components without any texture assigned and also the Beta was shared without an actual skin. Here is what it looks like. The LOD file dates back to 2011 and some of the ini files date back to 2012, so the Beta must have been shared around 2012-2013. The real J-20 has been substantially changed since then as the pictures above show. It would be great to see a proper J-20 and a better J-10 for that matter.

2 pointsstill got me but if someone looks in the node name list and sees "Perche" and "Left_vitre" it should give someone a better clue out there. all the modelers have unique signatures when it comes to naming their parts, even if its the couple that leave everything as "cylinder001", "cylinder002" etc!

The 65th Aggressor Squadron stationed at Naris Air Force Base operated F-15C fighter jets from 2005 to 2014, and used a variety of unique Schemes. This mod is one of the two types they have used. I will use it in the game Called "Blue" and "Tan" in Made this for my personal campaign "Red Flag", based on the F-15C, to share with you all. Special thanks to: Fast Cargo provides a great collection of F-15 packs for the community Viper63 added accurate machine number decals to his Aggressor pack usage: 1. Put the "65AGRS_Blue" and "65AGRS_Tan" folders into your F-15C module; 2. Put the "Decals" folder into: your SF2 directory\Objects; 3. Start the game and start your F-15C, the game will automatically inject data. -
1 pointIt seems to have been on my hard drive for so long that I can't even remember where I got it. I tried searching the forums for the Su-24 and it seems the results all point to the V2K version, but this looks completely different.

1 pointAnd the point is, in principle I can't just upload the whole mod, even if I mod it,and if I only upload the skin, it won't work for most of my friends here, damn
-

Small package of cockpit improvements for Su-7/17 ------- Su-7: cockpit by Stary - fixed misspelling and typos on labels, converted files to reduce size, fixed flaps/airbrake indicators, pilot's POV - nothing too drastic -------------- Su-17 - original cockpit for Su-17 looks old (judging by the files, it was made in 2003), here possible replacements: First gen Su-17s (Su-17, Su-17M (Su-20), Su-17M1 (Su-22)) get aforementioned Su-7 pit. It fits fine considering the time period. Second gen Su-17s (Su-17M3 (Su-22M, Su-22M3), Su-17M4 (Su-22M4)) get pit from Su-25. While not a fully accurate replacement, pits of those two jets do share a lot of similarities. Su-25K pit adapted for Su-17: - changed airspeed and Mach indicators - correct weapon stations indicators Also fixed a couple of other problems: - original fuel indicator doesn't work - missing nodes; adapted former second engine exhaust temp indicator to show fuel quantity - it is in the lower right corner - altimeter missing hand for thousands (Soviet altimeters have two hands - one for hundreds, other for thousands) - just changed the single hand to show both with adapted altimeter texture ----------- Installation: remove old cockpit folder, cockpit_ and avionics_ files; drop in new files. new cockpit_ and avionics_ inis should be renamed accordingly to work properly ---------- Su-25K cockpit is taken from here: https://combatace.com/files/file/17601-su-25_frogfoot/ -

1 pointIt's not clear what the file exactly does but it does not seem to have any visible effect. The game already knows if a target area is Friendly or Enemy and in which specific Location thanks to the _targets.ini and nations.ini files. Even if we understand how this additional file works, we'd know colors only for a limited number of nations. On terrains having more countries, who knows which colors are exactly needed for that file. Simply put, I'd move on.

Possible Method for Stereoscopic 3D in VR with Headtracking in Strike Fighters 2 - Geo11 The attached PDF outlines the steps using freeware programs, wrappers and apps I've used to get stereoscopic 3D in VR working in Strike Fighters 2 and it's associated mods. Over the years I've tried many methods to get SF2 working on either a 3D monitor or in VR using programs such as vorpX or Tridef, as well as many others, but have never been happy with the results; however, using a relatively new technique geo11, I'm finally able to play in VR with proper 3D. This very clever piece of software, is and I quote "a replacement for 3D Vision for DX11" and allows you to generate a very nice 3D image in VR using the latest nvidia drivers. At this point I'm not sure if this will work for anyone else who is not using the same tech i.e. HP Reverb G2 VR Headset and running an Nvidia RTX 2080TI GPU but please let me know if you have any success with similar hardware or something very different. Also a very similar method works for the Strike Fighters 1 series of games and if anyone is interested I'll post the additional steps here. For anybody else trying this - Good luck norrin -

Classic flanker cockpit for Marcfighters Su-27 After few years, hundred thousand hours hard works and some remod, here's the stuff.it designed for SF2 still you can also put it in Gen1,but some instruments won't do their job.using in Gen1 is not recommend, well, you know, old engine has lower efficiency when deal with those high poly model. Model: the whole thing has more than ten thousand polys,i try to build almost everything in 3d model, switch panel instruments handle etc.... Texture: Spending about a dozen bitmap for those texture, most of the instruments and panel has their own skin.for compatibility all bitmap been converted into BMP format, which can work in Gen 1&2. Head up display: the HUD is composed with traditional one which using the avionics.ini and 3d model with cockpit.ini, just like TMF mig-29's pit, you will lose some part of the HUD when press the Cockit hidden key. <hr> tested environment: WOE Oct 2008 SF2E Jul 2013 SF2NA Jul 2013 Installation:please check the readme file Credits: TK,Thirdwire Combatace.com This is freeware mod made for SF2 series do not use for commercial use or unauthorized distribution. hope you like this mod,and enjoy your flight [] -

This pack consists of two planes. The stock F-105D_66 and F-104G have been modded to create planes for the Dhimari Air Force: 1. F-104Dh DesertStar, 8th Squadron "The Scorpions" 2. F-105Dh DesertChief, 1st Squadron "The panthers" INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mod Folder. 2. If asked to overwrite, click yes. ADDENDUM: The planes fly for the USAF, since I don't own Strike Fighters 2 If you have SF2, then simply change the NationName in the corresponding data.inis, textureset.inis and userlist.inis I added a color sheet into this package so everybody can feel free to create his own dhimari desert aggressor skin. CREDITS There are several people I have to thank: Big Thanks to Thirdwire for the games and the superb models they have. Spinners for the dhimari decals I've been using to create this mod. Bobrock and Sundowner for the great work with the templates I used. From Sundowners template I also used the Sharkmouth for the F-104Dh. If I missed someone, please let me know and I correct it ASAP. Kindest regards ValAstur
