    1. TU_160 Blackjack - Cold War version for SF2 series project by UllyB

The Tupolev Tu-160, NATO reporting name: Blackjack) is a supersonic, variable-sweep wing heavy strategic bomber designed by the Tupolev Design Bureau in the Soviet Union in the 1970s. It is the largest and heaviest Mach 2+ supersonic military aircraft ever built and second only to the XB-70 Valkyrie in overall length. It is the largest and heaviest combat aircraft, the fastest bomber now in use and the largest and heaviest variable-sweep wing airplane ever flown.
Entering service in 1987, the Tu-160 was the last strategic bomber designed for the Soviet Union. As of 2016, the Russian Air Force's Long Range Aviation branch has at least 16 aircraft in service. The Tu-160 active fleet has been undergoing upgrades to electronics systems since the early 2000s. The Tu-160M modernization programme has begun with the first updated aircraft delivered in December 2014.
      *************************************************************************************************************
TU-160[ColdWar] test package readme (Baffmeister observations & conclusions)
This test package requires the addition of the Cockpit folder, Skin folder, and Aircraft Lods to work properly.
      MODEL ISSUES:
No model animation ID for the leading edge flaps. They are presently set up on a rotation axis but they don't look very good so it is probably better to just disable them for the release version.
The real TU-160 probably used a combination of ailerons, spoilers and differential H-stab deflections for roll control but only ailerons are available at present. The H-stab is built as one piece so no way to get the differential H-stab deflections functioning.
      WEAPON ISSUES:
Slightly modified KH-15 nuclear tipped missle included. The base quantity was increased from 4 to 6 to match the present capacity of AGM missle bay. The maximum capacity is 12 on the real Tu-160 but considering the effect on frame rates with so many nukes going off 6 might even be to many. Maybe 2 per plane would be enough. The maximum of 12 would be a good option for later versions with conventional warheads.
When carrying conventional bombs the accuracy is very poor which is typical for Bombers in game. Maybe someone could put together a "semi smart" bomb that the AI can use that would improve accuracy.
      BOMB BAY ISSUES:
The original was set up with both manual doors and automatic doors to operate the rotary launcher. I don't think that can be made to work so just using manual doors.
      DATE RANGE:
For testing the start date is set to 1986 so you can fly F-14 intercepts on the TW Iceland NA terrain. The actual service entry date for the first TU-160 version was April, 1987.
      AVAILABILITY:
Probably should be RARE or VERY_RARE for a release version but set to VERY_COMMON for test version. Should only take a few trys to get an F-14 intercept against the TU-160 on the Iceland NA terrain.
      ANTI-SHIP ISSUES:
When doing player flown ANTI-SHIP missions I haven't been able to get the AI to successfully "Attack My Target". They can't seem to get within the firing parameters for the KH-15 Missile and end up flying around in circles. It's possible to get them to do an attack if you lead them around first and line them up outside 10KM before giving the "Attack My Target" command.
FLIGHT MODEL AND DATA INI ISSUES:
The flight model still needs work as do the min/max extents, damage modeling and collision points.

      ***************************************************************************

*The model has Triple dragchute as in the real aircraft and has one historical skin made . Also the model has proper crew windows and proper crew positions inside the plane.

    2. SF2 Northrop F-89B Scorpion                                 3/24/2021
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is the release of the Northrop F-89B Scorpion All-Weather jet Interceptor. This mod recreates the first operational unit to recieve them in 1951. I'd started this mod in 2019, and it totaly slipped under the radar (so to speak). I now present it for it's historical useage. This mod makes use of the 89C lod, so there are small minor differences that will not inhibit gameplay in any way.
This package contains not only the aircraft, but 2 complete skin sets, for both active USAF, and later use by the Air National Guard. Units represented are:
84th FIS, 78th FIW, based at Hamilton AFB, near San Francisco, CA, 1951-54
      and
176th FIS, Wisconson Air National Guard, Truax Field, WI, 1955-1960
The SF2 'date switch' is used for when these aircraft left USAF for ANG service in 1955-ish.
With the exception of painted on squadron color markings (84th), all serial & Buzz Numbers are decals. Decal randomization is TRUE. The 84th gets 18, and the 176th has 16. On the Number list, any marked with a star (*) are 100% historically accurate to that unit. Any unmarked, were either unable to be matched, or are 'fillers'. But all are for F-89Bs.
Also supplied are pilot figures, drop tanks, and air-to-air HVAR unguided rockets. These are the same as the v.3 pack, but completeness is my standard. Each skin also has it's own Hangar Screen, depicting that particular unit.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE READ THEM!!!

    3. The Boeing 737 AEW&C is a twin-engine airborne early warning and control aircraft based on the Boeing 737 Next Generation design. It is lighter than the 707-based Boeing E-3 Sentry, and has a fixed, active electronically scanned array radar antenna instead of a rotating one. It was designed for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) under "Project Wedgetail" and designated E-7A Wedgetail.

    4. SF2 NAA B-45B Tornado "Gunship" What-If Pack by Veltro2k      3/27/2021
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is the release of a "What If..." variant of the North American B-45B "Tornado" light jet bomber. This version is totally fictional, but the model itself is based on some modifications performed on a few "C" models (ie: the solid nose).
This aircraft represents those as if they had entered service with the 84th Bomb Squadron of the 47th Bomb Wing. Historically, all bomber versions only served with the 47th in it's 3 squadrons.
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial numbers are spurious, but are taken from another aircraft (also a bomber) of the same year vintage. There are 12 serial/buzz numbers. Squadron color markings ARE historically correct for the 84th.
All necessary parts have been provided, with one caveat. The Mk.7 (61kt) nuclear bomb does =NOT= include the nuke explosion effect. As there are several around, you End Users (tm) may need to do some editing/renaming. I use the one from the Gunny Ordinance Pack. Other weapons include under-wing 5" HVAR rockets & rails, GP bombs, and torpedos. There are 4 20mm cannon in the solid nose. Unfortunately, due to needing a real gunsight (K-14), the bombsight won't/doesn't work. You may have to 'glide bomb' or best guess it.
When in-game, you can identify this aircraft by it's Displayed Name on the aircraft Drop Down Selector. You'll see:
      B-45B Tornado (WI)
The "WI" standing for "What If".
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE READ THEM!!! Also, please read the "Notes" for other info, "historical" notes and some operational suggestions.

    5. The second generation of Canadair Sabre aircraft, and first to be built in quantity,
was the Mk 2, with 350 produced from 1952–1953. The RCAF received 290 of these improved
aircraft. During the first half of 1952, the remaining 60 Mk.2s were supplied to the
U.S. Air Force for use in the Korean War. Most RCAF Mk.2 Sabres were utilized in the air
defence role with NATO's No. 1 Air Division in Europe, proving itself to be an outstanding
dogfighter. Others were assigned to the training role at bases in Canada. After replacement
by the Sabre 5 in RCAF service from 1954, just over 210 surviving Sabre 2s were overhauled
and modified in the UK and supplied in roughly equal numbers to the Greek Air Force and
      Turkish Air Forces.

    6. Lockheed F-104H Starfighter for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
      This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire F-104G to create a fictional F-104H in service with the Fuerza Aérea Argentina in the 1968-2006 timeline and with markings for;
      Grupo 8 (SEA Camo)
      Grupo 6 (Lo-Viz Grey N.B. StartDefaultDate=1983)
      Grupo 4 (Green/Grey Camo)

      BACKSTORY
During the Spring of 1965 the Fuerza Aérea Argentina formally issued an operational requirement for a supersonic fighter-bomber to supplement and eventually replace it's F-86 Sabre force and to operate alongside the Douglas Skyhawks that were just entering service. The BAC Lightning was quickly ruled out as being short on range and undeveloped in the air-to-ground role and by the end of 1965 Fuerza Aérea Argentina officials declared that the choice was between the Dassault Mirage III and the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter. Lockheed had proposed a new variant, the F-104H, a projected export version based on the F-104G but with an optical gunsight and simplified equipment. Following a visit by Lockheed representatives to the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires in early July 1966 the newly inaugurated President Juan Carlos Onganía announced that 36 F-104H's would be procured for the Fuerza Aérea Argentina. Entering service in March 1968 with Grupo 8 de Caza at the Military Air Base Mariano Moreno the F-104H's served until 2006 when the last Starfighters operating anywhere in the world were finally retired.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-104H folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-104H folder into your Decals folder.
That's it! I've kept the loadouts to basic stock weapons but if you have Argentine weapons in your install then it's worth editing the F-104H_Loadout.ini to suit what you have.

    7. SF2 NAA B-45A & B-45C Pack by Veltro2k      3/16/2021
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is the release of the North American B-45 "Tornado" light jet bomber. This was the first jet bomber in USAF service, and the 1st one (USAF) with 4 jet engines.
There are 2 aircraft in this package, all representing aircraft from the 47th Bomb Wing, as stationed in the UK in the early to mid 1950s. Please note, these are the BOMBER version =ONLY=. In this you have:
      B-45A:
      86th Bomb Squadron
      B-45C:
      85th Bomb Squadron
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial numbers are 100% historically accurate. On the "A" model's number list any marked with a star (*) have been 100% matched to the 86th BS, those without, while serving in the 47th BW, could not be matched to a specific squadron.
As there were only 10 "C" bomber variants built, I've assigned them to the 85th; in Real Life (tm) only a few C's made it to squadron service, and those were intermixed with the A's already in service.
All necessary parts have been provided, with one caveat. The Mk.7 (61kt) nuclear bomb dose =NOT= include the nuke explosion effect. As there are several around, you End Users (tm) may need to do some editing/renaming. I use the one from the Gunny Ordinance Pack.
The skin template is included, as are the templates for the tail and nose squadron color flashes.
As another B-45 exists from "elsewhere", these 2 have been differentiated in their Displayed Name on the aircraft Drop Down Selector. You'll see:
      B-45A Tornado (V2K)
      and
      B-45C Tornado (V2K)
This shows it Veltro's build, even if you don't/can't get "the other one".

    8. Lockheed Starfighter F.3 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of the stock F-104G to create a fictional Starfighter F.3 in service with the Royal Air Force in the 1980-1991 timeline and it includes markings for No.29 Squadron and No.56 Squadron with 18 contemporary serial numbers shared between them.
      BACKSTORY
Delays in the UK's Tornado ADV programme lead to the RAF upgrading 38 Lockheed Starfighter FGR.2's to a new F.3 standard featuring the uprated J79-GE-19 engine (developing 12,000lbs dry thrust and 17,900lbs with afterburner) and the improved NASARR R-21G/H radar with moving target indicator and continuous wave illuminator for the Skyflash semi-active radar homing missile. Entering service with No.29 Squadron in 1980 the Starfighter F.3's remained in service until 1991.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the StarfighterF3 folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the StarfighterF3 folder into your Decals folder.

    9. After successful operations of the An-24T tactical transport in austere locations, interest in a version with a retractable cargo ramp increased. Initial studies for he retractable ramp were carried out as part of the projected An-40 medium transport.
When given the go-ahead for the An-26 in March 1968, the Antonov OKB adapted the ramp design of the An-40 to the An-24 fuselage, resulting in the An-26. Particular attention was given to the military mission, and the majority of early An-26 production was delivered to the VTA (voyenno-transportnaya aviatsiya).
Using the majority of the An-24 airframe, with its high-set cantilevered wings, twin turboprops and stalky main undercarriage, the An-26 included military equipment, such as tip-up paratroop canvas seats, an overhead traveling hoist, bulged observation windows and parachute static line attachment cables. The An-26 made its public debut at the 27th Paris Air Show at Le Bourget where the second prototype, CCCP-26184 (c/n00202), was shown in the static aircraft park.
The An-26 is also manufactured without a license agreement in China by the Xian Aircraft factory as the Y-14, later changed to be included in the Xian Y7 series.

    12. SF2 Handley Page HP.67 Hastings by Veltro2k & Co.       2/14/2021
-For SF2, Any and All (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
      "Quarantine Approved - Essential Mods"
This is the release of the Handley Page HP.67 Hastings transport/cargo aircraft as used by the Royal Air Force from the late 1940s through the early 1960s. This version represents the C.1A & C.2 models.
All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. All serial numbers are 100% historicaly correct. As none of serials represent any particular aircraft from any specific unit, they should be considered 'generic' in nature. However, I've assigned the aircraft to No.99 Squadron "Madras Presidency", as they recieved them in 1949, and are fairly representative of other Transport Command Squadrons. All sounds, pilot figures, hangar and loading screens are provided.
The cargo bay doors are activated by the 'bomb bay' keystroke.
