Been quietly working away on a lot of stuff, such as Pfalz D3 (not D3a) LODs and ships. In middle shot, the top aircraft is LOD2: 7,720 polys. The bottom aircraft is LOD1: 22,400 polys. Also trying to get the damage textures to look realistic. Test shot below shows bullet holes that are too large.

Kuwait Scooters - A-4KU/TA-4KU for SF2 - v1.0 ================================================== *** any SF2I that has the KfirC1_77 for the cockpit and DLC005 required for the A-4K model *** This mods represents the A-4KU and TA-4KU Skyhawks used by Kuwait between 1977 and 1992. In the 1970s Kuwait purchased 36 Skyhawks (30 single-seater + 6 two-seater). These planes were based upon A-4M, that were delivered to the USMC at that time. So they got the same engine, the larger canopy, the brakechute and the squared off fintip. Equipment needed to deliver nuclear weapons, aswell as Shrike- and Walleye were deleted. The TA-4KU were unique in having the same engine as the single-seater, aswell as the avionics hump. Apart from some aerials their appearance is similar to that of the OA-4M. When Iraq invaded Kuwait in 1990, many of the pilots flew with their planes to Saudi Arabia. They were included in the Royal Saudi Air Force and flew 1361 sorties with the loss of only 1 plane. With the end of the Gulf War they were placed in storage and replaced by F/A-18 Hornets. After failed attempts to sell the surviving 23 planes to Bosnia and the Phillipines, they were finally sold to Brazil in 1997 to serve aboard the Aircraft Carrier Minas Gerais as AF-1 and AF-1A. Infos ===== - cockpit used is the modified KfirC1_77 cockpit, that is already used for my A-4M-mod. I only made small modifications to fit it the A-4KU. - Pilotmodel is a stand-in, until someone comes up with a Kuwaiti Pilot :) - Fakepilot-stuff like hump and the antennas are made with MUEs new Blender-exporter - as I already said and always will: Thank you, great job, mue! - Skin resolution is 4096x4096 - Skins are set up for "No9SQN" as I only found the general info, that planes were used by "No. 9 and No. 25 squadrons" and both squadrons didn't use any special markings it seems. Sources ======= - Scooter! The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk Story, Crécy 2011 - A-4 Skyhawk Association, http://a4skyhawk.org/ - Airliners.net - Joe Baughers Site - Google in general Installation ============ 1. unzip to a temporary folder 2. open "Put_Content_In_Your_MOD_Folder" and do as you were told, if asked to overwrite, say 'yes' :P 3. enjoy! If the Squadron is missing in the loadout screen, you should add the following lines in the squadronlist.ini ("<mod>\pilotdata"-folder) with XXX changed to the next free numbers: [SquadronXXX] Name=Kuwait_No9SQN DisplayName=No. 9 Squadron Nation=Kuwait Credits ======= - Thirdwire and TK for a great game, models and the cockpit-parts I used. - Fracture - TA-4 model - Alejandro - Escapac seat - FastCargo - FakePilot - Sounds - ??? - dtmdragons - A-4KU-update-pack, this is loosly based on - myself - all other work, including 3D-models (tanks, pylons, addons) Thanks ====== - Crusader for valuable information regarding weaponsstations-arrangement, I found in the forum. - mue for his great LODViewer and Blender-Exporter, which made this possible! - cocas for help learning 3D-stuff! P.S. ==== If you have any problems with this skin or have suggestions and hints, feel free to PM me. Disclaimer ========== This mod or parts of it may not be used for payware of any kind. Also if you use something, give proper credit. 18_03_2018

    Version Patch 2

PLEASE BE AWARE; This release of TSF 2 is unpolished and is to be considered a Beta version. In short, there will be bugs and not all of them have been found. Unless things change significantly, there will not be more releases. Please read the letter below to understand why. If you just want the SK 60 or the Saab 37 Viggen - look in the Aircraft section. If not posted there, they will be posted there shortly. A letter from the Project Leader: My name is Jonathan and I am the project leader of The Scandinavian Front. I want to apologize that I will not be living up to the vision I had for The Scandinavian Front. The reason for this is because between my new full time job and all my other projects, TSF 2 fell by the wayside. This is not fair to TSF nor is it fair to you. This is to be considered a Beta release. It has bugs. The Campaigns have not been fully balanced. But it is a playground that you can play around with - just like always. But this will be the Final Release of TSF 2. I sat down one too many times trying to make it perfect and I will have to accept that TSF 2 may never be. Maybe some day I will sit down and release a patch to bring it up to speed. But today is not that day. I want to thank all the fans of TSF 2 for their support during this time. It has been invaluble. I also want to thank AngelP, Stary, Ravenclaw and my mate Paulopanz who have been there for me to make this mod what it is today. Without them, I could never have made this dream. Do not blame them for the unpolished state of this release, they gave me their all and I am very grateful. FEATURES Fly and fight with Aircraft from the Scandinavian Air Forces, including the legendary Saab lineup of aircraft in combat against the Soviet Union in multiple scenarios from 1950 to 2014. Campaigns include several intensive conflicts, training missions and a virtual museum allowing you to follow a Swedish Flottilj for most of its history! Now at last - Saab SK60 and Saab 37 Viggen are avalible to fly in TSF 2 alongside - for the first time - Soviet Aircraft in service of the fictionalFinno-Soviet Republic! More AI Aircraft to fly with or against! Updated Terrain Tiles, Weapons and Menu Screens. Optimized code; unused and outdated assets removed. Installation: This mod requires SF2: Europe. SF2 North Atlantic, Expansion Pack 1 and DLC 008 J 34 Hawker Hunter is highly recommended. Please be aware that without SF2 North Atlantic, at least two Campaigns will be unavalible. First of all, make sure you are using SF2: Europe and that it is patched to the latest version. This is _vital_. Check Thirdwire.com if you are unsure what the latest patch is, but the game should notify you if there is new patches out. Delete ANY PRIOR TSF MOD INSTALLATION! This is vital as items has been renamed, moved or otherwise changed. If you are using a mod, or plan to use one, TSF will mess around with settings other mods may be using. As such, creating a seperate mod folder for TSF is a good idea. If you only plan to use TSF, then this step can be bypassed. Go to your installation folder (Usually C:\Program Files\Thirdwire\Strike Fighters 2). Make a copy of Strike Fighters 2.exe / Strike Fighters 2 Europe.exe depending on what you prefer and got installed. Name the Copy Strike Fighters 2 TSF.exe . Start your new .exe once, then close the game. Now go to your Mod Folders. For Windows 7/Vista, this is located in C:\Users\Name\Saved Games\Thirdwire. For Windows XP Users, it is usually in My Documents. Download ALL THE FILES into THE SAME FOLDER and Unzip TSF2_Final from TSF2_FinalPack.7z.001. You need 7z or Winrar to do this. Unzip the contents of the 7zip files "TSF2_Final" into the mod folder of your choice. If you do not own Strike Fighters 2: North Atlantic, then unzip "Unzip if you do not have SF NA.7z". Read the Readme included and follow it to the letter. If you own Strike Figthers 2 Expansion Pack 1, unzip "Install if you do not have SF NA.7z". Allow any overwrites. If you own DLC 008 J 34 Hawker Hunter, unzip "Install if you have DLC 008 J 34 Hawker Hunter.7z". Allow any overwrites. If you own DLC 028, unzip "Install_if_you_have_DLC28.7z". Allow any overwrites. (Please read the included Credits file. I could not do what I do without the lovely people who helped me by allowing me to use their work!)

Hawker Hunter FGA.9 - RAF Far East Air Force This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire Hunter FGA.9 to place it in service with the RAF's Far East Air Force in the 1961-1970 timeline. That really did happen but not with the Hunter wearing 'SEAC' national markings! New decals are included including 26 new tail serials and 26 new underwing serials. BACKSTORY The growing threat to Thailand, Cambodia and South Vietnam from nearby Communist states saw the deployment of the Hawker Hunter FGA.9's of No. 20 Squadron to the Far East Air Force in September 1961 followed by No.28 Squadron in July 1962. The Borneo Confrontation of 1963 saw this ground-attack wing deployed to Kuching and Labuan to commence offensive operations against Indonesian forces seeking to infiltrate across the Malaysia/Indonesia border on the island of Borneo. The Commander of the Far East Air Force, Air Marshal Sir Hector McGregor, ordered the re-introduction of the wartime 'SEAC' markings to avoid any potential confusion with the Indonesian Air Force's red and white national markings. Both squadrons were successful in helping to repel the border incursions by the Indonesians, despite the difficult terrain, and stayed in theatre until the Borneo Confrontation was declared over in August 1966 eventually departing in January 1967 when No.28 Squadron was disbanded and No.20 Squadron returned to Tengah. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the HunterFGA9S folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the HunterFGA9S folder into your Decals folder. It goes without saying that you'll need the Third Wire Hunter FGA.9 from 'Wings Over Europe' for this to work but if you have 'Wings Over Israel' you can use a substitute 'stock' cockpit as the aircraft LOD's are in that game. The folder designation FGA.9S is just to avoid conflict with the stock FGA.9 aircraft in 'Wings Over Europe'. CREDITS Thanks to TK for a great little game/sim. And thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 1 - 18/03/18

The answer is yes.....probably. There is little differentiation between FE and FE2, like in Strike Fighters. Having said that, understand some of the earliest mods (aircraft, effects, etc) may have problems running in FE2 because of changes to the code over time. VonS runs most all aircraft, old or new, in FE2 and gets them to work. Good luck!
