4 pointsIt has been confirmed for awhile. Belsimtek's F-4 was bumped to the back of the bus to focus on ED's preference for the F-16. For my entire PC/internet life, F4 has meant a hardcore sim for the the F-16. Belsimtek reveals screenshots of an F-4E that is pretty much exactly what I have wanted all these years, and its development is stopped to make way for another F-16. If it wasn't for TK/Third Wire, I would have been stuck playing Jane's Fighters Anthology and Jane's USAF up to now to be able to enjoy the F-4 in a realistic combat environment. Cheers to TK for keeping me entertained for a decade before DCS World started on the path of my ideal sim: a hardcore F-4/MiG-21 air combat study simulator. DCS World has actually bettered my vision by simultaneously providing both a survey sim and study sim of almost the entire flyable aircraft library with some of the most famous historical air-to-air matchups of all time. I would greatly appreciate it if they could just the the F-4 done before I die.

3 pointsIn January 1918, there were 35 Anade/Anacler scouts and a small number of Anasals in the Ukrainian registries. All of them pass into the Ukrainian hands "by inheritance" from the tsarist aviation. Subsequently most of these airplanes either fell into disrepair or were captured by the Bolsheviks. None the less even in 1919, several Anasals were in the list of the Ukrainian aviation. But, unfortunately, we hawe no photos of these aircraft with Ukrainian identification marks. Most likely, they continued to fly with the old Russian roundels. This may seem strange to you, but none of the Ukrainian governments that succeeded each other in 1918 did not use aircraft plant in Odessa. But the Austrians are interested in Odessa airplanes and took control of the production capacity of the Anatra plant. On April 10, 1918, 4-hour flight tests of the aircraft by Austrian specialists took place. Two days later, on April 12, the aircraft was adopted by the K. und K.aviation under the designation "Anatra" C.І. On May 5, the firm received an order for 200 such aircraft with a deadline of August 15, 1918. The Austrians managed to take only 66 airplanes out of Odessa, the rest were either destroyed (on June 28, anarchist workers burned about 20 airplanes already received by the customer and ready for shipment to Austria-Hungary), or remained at the plant. When the Interventionists landed in the city in November 1918, they discovered at the Anatra plant 123 (or 134) Anasals. Part of these aircraft was later sent to the formation of the Denikin's Russian White Army. In the future, the power in Odessa several times passed from hand to hand, and each time the new "masters" replenished the fleet of their aircraft with Airplanes from factory stocks. But the production activity at the Anatra plant was completely frozen. The figure below presents various options for the identification marks of Ukrainian aviation of 1918-1920. On April 30, 1918, by the order of the aviation inspector of the Ukrainian People's Republic, an identification mark was installed - a black trident on a white square. But for various reasons, in 1918 very few aircraft received new identification marks. These identification marks can be combined with blue-yellow stripes or with blue and yellow squares (in Galician aviation). The black trident as a symbol of Ukrainian aviation existed almost all the time of the liberation struggle of the Ukrainian people in the early 20th century. The presence of any other signs, such as blue-yellow circles or yellow tridents on a blue field, is not confirmed by any documents. This is probably a late falsification of immigrants. However, it can be argued that the question of the Ukrainian identification marks of the beginning of the 20th century is not fully understood, since there are not enough photographs and documents.

2 pointsThis is just a follow-up with my current project, here are some photos of the work in progress. It is coming very nice I think.

2 pointsIn December 1918, the Czechs received 23 former Austrian Anasals, which were distributed in the 2nd and 3rd aviation regiments. The Anasals were used until 1921, after which 11 least worn-out airplanes were transferred to the aviation school. There they were used until the summer of 1923, after which they were finally written off. But several Anasals were transferred to the engineering school in Brno, where they used as flightless educational supples until 1942! It is noteworthy that the only surviving Anasal is also located in the Czech Republic - in the National Museum of Technology in Prague.
-
2 pointsThis is absolutely excluded. The Yugoslavs didn't have any Anasals! Omega is an out-and-out liar)) As for the decals, it is obviously based on this photo. But there are no identification marks of Yugoslavia! The picture shows a plane belonging to the aviation of the Armed Forces of Southern Russia (by general Denikin). This aircraft fought at Tsaritsyn and crashed in the summer of 1919. The plane of the number of Anasals built by order of the Austrians, but never taken out of Odessa. Just the balken cross was painted over with white paint first, and then Russian roundels are painted on top of it. Any paint becomes more transparent with time - that is how such a funny effect of “x-raying” has turned out))
-
2 pointsI saw this plane presented as a plastic model kit from Omega: https://obchod.valka.cz/product_info.php/p/1107177/title/1-48-Anatra-Anasal-DSS-Yugoslav I don't know if such a plane actually existed, but I liked the look of it. Austria Hungary had many Anatra C.I's. After the war a lot of them ended up in the air force of the Czech Republic, so it isn't unreasonable to assume that some of them found their way into the Yugoslav air force.

1 pointUpdate 3.009 Dear friends, Trying to squeeze in more functionality, new content, improvements and additions for you before the holidays, we've prepared another update 3.009. This time, the main feature of this update is the new content: Collector Plane, famous Soviet light bomber U-2VS. At the moment it can be used in QMB and multiplayer modes, but we'll add new Career mission types especially for it (Stalingrad and Kuban ToWs) next month. There are two new scripted campaigns available. One made by =BlackSix= happens at Stalingrad after 'Blazing Steppe' and continues the story of the German pilot that started in '10 Days of Autumn' campaign, while another made by =Gambit21= is dedicated to A-20 squadron operating in the skies of Kuban. As usual, the update also brings numerous improvements and additions, upping the overall quality of the sim: 1. New Collector Plane U-2VS; 2. New scenario campaign 'Fortress on the Volga' by Alexander =BlackSix= Timoshkov; 3. New scenario campaign 'Havoc over the Kuban' by =Gambit21=; 4. New Career mission "Troop concentration night bombing strike"; 5. New Career mission "Enemy airfield night bombing strike"; 6. New Career mission "Railway hub night bombing strike"; 7. New Career mission "Supply dump night bombing strike"; 8. New Career mission "River crossing night bombing strike"; 9. Our community enthusiast =BlackHellHound1= remade all outer textures of Bf 109 F-2 (main texture, bump, specular, damage) and made historically accurate skins for it in 4К; 10. Three new skins for Fokker Dr.I; 11. Two new skins for SPAD 13.C1; 12. The delay, when a new player connects to a server, has been minimized for other players; 13. Projectile hits at turret gunners now calculated properly (they weren't counted properly before); 14. 76 mm APHE rounds won't erroneously damage the internal components without penetrating the armor; 15. P-47D-28 skin damage has been corrected (increased); 16. Airfields surface on Velikiye Luki map has been flattened; 17. It is now possible to lean to the gunsight closer than before on all aircraft; 18. Visual propeller damage corrected on Ju-52 (previously damaging the right propeller would visually damage the left one); 19. Inability to start a new Career from an old one (lack of available units) has been fixed; 20. After spending all ammo of one kind in a tank the interface won't erroneously show the full ammo; 21. Escape menu works correctly even if there are no vehicles in the mission; 22. Wrong waypoint labels corrected in scenario campaigns; 23. Mission briefings text rendering corrected in scenario campaigns; 24. The random mirroring issue of a pilot portrait in Career has been fixed; 25. Creating new Career in Stalingrad ToW has been fixed for certain units; 26. An issue of jumping reflections in the water caused by mirrors has been fixed; 27. Vehicle pathfinding issue that could cause slow performance loss has been fixed; 28. Formation movement AI on land and water has been improved - the leader won't slow down if it is possible; 29. Collision detection routine improved (the detailed tanks shouldn't twitch in certain situations anymore); 30. Formation movement has been improved overall; 31. The bug that caused AI pilots to miss ground targets has been fixed; 32. AI checks the altitude in a downward spiral maneuver; 33. Bombs and rockets equipped AIs should correctly engage ground targets in QMB; 34. Modifier object: it is now possible to assign negative values to a counter. Both the current value and trigger threshold can be set for a timer; 35. Timer: when a new trigger signal is received, the timer resets; 36. Modifier and timer: parameter index 0 now controls the current timer value while parameter index 1 controls the timer threshold; 37. Modifier and timer: timer can be reset and stopped by parameter index 0 and value -1; 38. Fw 190 A-8: canopy raindrops added for Sturmjager modification; 39. Fw 190 A-8: windshield cleaner corrected for Sturmjager modification ; 40. Fw 190 A-8: too dark materials corrected at some places; 41. Fw 190 A-8: rocket control box decreased in size; 42. 1 pointView File F-4E_72 Edwards AFB F-4E Phantom Edwards AFB I always liked the white / red Edwards AFB aircrafts, so i did this quick skin for Volker´s F-4E_72 You must have Ravenclaw_007´s USAF F-4E (F-4E_72) pack installed, elsewise this mod does not work. 1 pointSpeaking of testing/experimental schemes.. I have some weird feelings(in favor of them) towards them. Maybe I'll make some flight test skins for my favourite aircrafts after I've learnt how to make one. In the meantime, mandatory: Marine Attack Training Squadron 203, stationed in Cherry Point but exercise in the south west.. My imagination of Marines doing SEAD, loadouts could be unrealistic..

1 pointI've asked a friend, Logan aka "Laszlo" , to help me in a case, where i know, there are guys out there, who are far better than me. He said yes, and he suffered under my constant, questions, chats, and messages. but the result and work he put into this, is great! The attention to detail is high! This is still WIP but it is far better than i ever could produce. Im happy to show you those first pics. Our plan is to provide pits up the the M series WIP Su-17 Fitter B
