From what I remember, the peter01 FM is for the stock Alb. D3 that comes with FE2....as are my later FM tweaks. Getting the A-Team models to work with data inis not specifically made for them is a real pain. You'll probably have to compare collision points, min/max sizes between the two data inis to find what's wrong - also good is to double check the names of the components, support component names, etc., for wings, tails, fuselage sections - they are probably not the same across the two data inis. Hopefully someone who flies the A-Team Alb. D.III will be able to give more specific suggestions. Von S

The Iraqi air defense system in 1991 had more guns than Berlin in 1945 and more SAMs than Hanoi in 1972. I mean the coalition forces lost 44 aircraft to enemy action, which is much higher than most people think, and the A-10s suffered such heavy losses as to be pulled back from attacks on the republican guard. If you think that flying the American campaign is tough, try a campaign as an Iraqi Su-25 pilot...

Thank you gentlemen for your time and info. I made the mistake of thinking peter01's data.ini was for the Skunkworks D3 instead of the stock AlbatrosD3_160 because he had not made a version for the stock AlabatrosD3_170. I suppose I might start comparing the stock D3_160 to peter01's 170 to see if there is more differences than just the SLPowerDry between the two. All is good. Rather than flying and dying in FE I find I spend most of my scarce spare time tinkering with the aircraft and their mods which I find very satisfying. Aa I lack a joystick (and the reaction times of my youth), I content myself with bombing missions. BSU still makes a challenging pastime. Just about finished tidying up older versions of the game I have saved along with peter01's mods and now about to start on yours VonS in a separate game version. I'll probably be back to pester you some more.

View File Focke-Wulf Fw 187 Falke The Focke-Wulf Fw 187 Falke ("Falcon") was a German aircraft developed in the late 1930s. It was conceived by Kurt Tank as a twin-engine, high-performance fighter, but the Luftwaffe saw no role for the design, perceiving it as intermediate between the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and Bf 110. Later prototypes were adapted to two-seats to compete with the Bf 110 in the Zerstörer (heavy fighter) role, but only nine aircraft were built in total. I think the main point of having officers versus enlisted is, the bunch that chose and fit to be a pilot (based on current requirements) most likely will stay for that 15-20-25 years period that they can fly, the enlisted will only stay for that 1-2 year they sign up for or "have to be" in uniform. Physical fitness is something you need to most likely not to become an other point/value in statistics. Also there are several other factors, like you are fit and can do the job, yet your family talks you out of even applying for it or if you are still "minor" then not sign the papers required and by the time you can choose on your own, your life took an other turn that keeps you away from application. Probably a war on the scale of ww1&2 would change attitudes and requirement (lets not hope for one, I do like peace better) Also as a factor that could play than having a degree, one is the ability to follow orders, brass think its important, yet if someone constantly disobey them then they could not depend on these personnel in critical times, some "suicide" missions probably not flown unless the person has the sense of "greater goods" and does it on its own. On the other hand there would be no blood bath of civilians, only those few whom propagate war or financially gaining from it or actually the mastermind of new conflicts to undermine peaceful living/handling of situations (not talking about tyrannical dictators). I think with UAV-s there could be a place for using those whom got the talent, but not the fitness. And if there was a system that would keep the "privet" flying like a mercenary even after their terms ended, most likely they would continue. I did met those situations where people with "papers" did more damage then ordinary "uneducated" ones fared way better. I think it is true for all professions and parts of life, that those who can do the job equally or better might never get near to it to even try or show their true skills and abilities.

Well the majority of the Army's pilots are Warrant Officers, not Commissioned.

I too experience the upload problem. On PC when using PMs. Wont upload files bigger than (approx.) 1 mb if they are dragged into the message window. It does work OK if I attach the file by using the 'chose files' option.
