7 pointsHello Stratos, she's been 99,9 % finished for nearly 2 years.. it's some tedious detailed texture work on things like wheel wells and ejection seat mechanism etc.. that need to be done; I'm trying to find the time but Real Life is a bitch!!! I've promised myself to find the time over the summer and get her out to the community. The RF-5a still needs the nose to be modelled properly (hopefully I or RavenClaw, who has contributed immensely to this product, will take another stab at it.. ..and believe it or not, I've even got the F-5B at 75%. Thanks for your incredible patience all

2 pointsHey @Stratos, the above is supremely awesome and gives me a few ideas for a more plausible casus belli. Maybe a few more partisan Japanese civilians try to take a Kuril Island and that starts the shooting? That said, little update guys. I am just pulling my hair out about trying to get a Su-35BM or Su-35S into my single mission pak. About to have to give up... and maybe make a V 1.1 that has a modified Su-27 :-(. For now, enjoy the visuals of a rather dangerous F-15J intercept attempt to get a Su-30 to jink clearly by in itself creating a diplomatic incident:

1 pointView File F-21A Lion in USMC service. F-21A Lion US Marines loaned version of Kfir Canard used as adversary aircraft by VMFT-401. This files are designed for standard Kfir C1_77. So no need for DLC F-21A. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) It is designed for and works only in SF2 series. To run this mod you need also access to TW lod files from SF2:I (basic model lods for aircraft and cockpit also fuel tanks) I've edited ini files mostly in weapon stations to separate bomb stations from IRM, FT etc. Also removed some lines of unrealistic loadouts (like inboard IRM,lgb on belly station etc.) Loadout file is generally empty. Only fuel tanks are assigned. Have it your way in your adversary install. All skins are done by me in 2048x2048 format based on templates by ludo.m54 => http://combatace.com...ge-5-templates/ New Bump maps. All decals are made by me. You will find 13 sets of decals (for 13 aircraft) so if you will choose to play with 14 or more aircraft that above 13...will be just blank... I am aware that this is not 100% accurate. But this is my way to represent those 13 colourfull aircrafts. Pilot is from F-111 pack. I belive its from Florian. Copy files to proper folders. report bugs. Hope you will like it. Enjoy Jarek Hereda Personally, I am using another nation in my install USMC-agr - hope none of inis in this download contains such ini lines...if so...please change it to standard nations =USMC. 1 pointThanks. daddyairplanes and gepard made first efforts with skin decaling. And i have to admit it is quite an interesting approach. @daddyairplanes now I can understand the frustration when making skin-decal set for bigger birds. BTW. This files are for standard WOI Kfir C1_77 so no need for DLC F-21A.

1 pointI look forward to it. Kinda tired of dropping J-DAMs from Tomcats over the desert.... Especially when I know in 1999, the Tomcats were zooming around Kosovo looking for tanks to plink. Good book about those VF-14 Black Aces out there and I got the paperback on my bookshelf... from same author as Scream of Eagles about TopGun & Vietnam. So I'm excited to hear a Balkans terrain is in the works. Staying tuned!

1 pointSome pointed thoughts for this update: Well 24 April is in two days and I'm not ready to release yet. Life got in the way. But still working away... got almost everything for this addon in its own boot-up folder now like some of our community's fav add-ons like the F*lklands War & ODS. A lot of admin stuff that doesn't make for sexy screenshots like writing credits and an intro. 8 May - or two weeks and two days - seems likely for a release date. :-) Finally, had to check ORBAT for the Russian side again. Let's just say without a Su-34 available for at least V1, things will be really interesting. At least there's an A-50 Mainstay now... There will 100% sadly not be a Kirov-class battlecruiser in the game as the Pacific Fleet's battlecruiser Admiral Lazarev currently in mothballs near Vladivostok with its nuclear fuel removed (if one trusts a WikiPedia article) will be one of the two scrapped and the other two are based (logically) in Russia's Northern and Western fleets. That said, you will have a Slava cruiser and lesser ships to take on in V1... You will have in the game for the Japanese for substantial participation one destroyer, two 1-Go escort boats, AH-64Js, KC-767s, E-767s, E-2As, F-15Js, F-2As, and yes you betcha F-35As. OK, I can give you all one screenshot of the kind of action to expect around the Kuril Islands...

1 pointThe way I do it is the same as nose numbers: iterative decals which are applied either left or right at the location where you want the number. An example, for the inaugural VF-1 Wolfpack skin in the Tomcat Super Pack, I made a set of .tgas "BuNoxxx" from 000 to 011. Each one matched the real-world bureau number of VF-1's F-14As from NK100 to NK114 (remember 108 and 109 aren't used), so BuNo000 matches USFtrNum000 and TailNum000, and NK100 will always be 158979, NK101 will always be 158989, etc. The call-out in the DECALS.ini look like this: [Decal007] MeshName=LeftEnginePod DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=LEFT FilenameFormat=F-14A_74/VF1NK74/D/BuNo Position=-5.275,-0.95 Rotation=0.0 Scale=1.0 DecalMaxLOD=4 [Decal008] MeshName=RightEnginePod DecalLevel=2 DecalFacing=RIGHT FilenameFormat=F-14A_74/VF1NK74/D/BuNo Position=-5.275,-0.95 Rotation=0.0 Scale=1.0 DecalMaxLOD=4 Notice that they're the same decal, just facing a different direction. If you're using italics, it doesn't work cleanly and you have to make two different sets, but most bureau numbers I'm aware of aren't italicized. Hope this helps.

1 pointIn case of significant delays CA's protocol requires only statement that mod will be available in two weeks.

1 pointWell my book finally arrived. I've just decided considering the real world ORBAT of the Russian Air Forces to spend my SF2 time this weekend trying to get an acceptable - to me - version of THIS into SF2: One of my standards will be to program thrust vectoring in but also get a cockpit that you can use if flipping the tables is desired... something that I find rather interesting. This will significantly up the risk of a release delay into April, but I want to get close to realism. NOT a flag-waving, Russians jets bad, Japanese flown US jets good, type-type-trigger arcade game.

1 pointThe Last Gunfighter gets a new lease of life with Israeli and russian avionics, the Kopyo radar set and the Israeli jammers rom the MiG-21 Bison. Also, the Colt Mk12 cannons are replaced by NR23 cannons for added reliability!
