6 pointsI was feeling like a Delta Dart mission, so a pair of us flew against some heathen interlopers....... Since dogfighting in a 106 is a recipe for suicide, the Genie is the perfect weapon to make short work of the threat.. But it IS a bit disconcerting to have it ignite and go flashing past you...

4 pointsHaving a lot of fun hunting trucks in the new Blohm & Voss BV-141. This is one very weird-looking aircraft, and it is not a dogfighter, but if you keep really low (under 200 feet) the enemy fighters will have trouble targeting you, and you can do a lot of damage to the vehicles.

3 pointsAfter finishing with my FM tweaks for the Cold War prop package, I decided to do a small early war "1938-1941" install for myself in SF2 too - will eventually get to uploading these early WW2 FM tweaks...several representative shots below of Mk.1 Hurricane and Me109 D adventures in the middle east...had to follow the fellow up to about 10,000 meters and forgot I was out of ammo. in all the excitement...I eventually found a solution that also gave me a Hurricane "glider conversion" . 2 pointsUsing the simulator you make the appropriate adjustments so that missile will perform as you desire. Then you use the weapons editor and you just copy parameter values from the simulator.

2 points21-25 April 1944. On 21 April the first military helicopter combat rescue began with Lieutenant Carter Harman, 1st Air Commando Group, being ordered to proceed from Lalaghat, India with his Vought-Sikorsky YR-4B, 43-28247, 600 miles to Taro in northern Burma. After 24 hours trip and short rest, he attempted to rescue 4 survivors from crashed L-1A plane. He lifted wounded soldiers one at a time. The operation successfully ended on April 25. When Lt. Harman rescued the last remaining survivors. For his actions, Lieutenant Carter Harman was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

2 pointsHello Stratos, she's been 99,9 % finished for nearly 2 years.. it's some tedious detailed texture work on things like wheel wells and ejection seat mechanism etc.. that need to be done; I'm trying to find the time but Real Life is a bitch!!! I've promised myself to find the time over the summer and get her out to the community. The RF-5a still needs the nose to be modelled properly (hopefully I or RavenClaw, who has contributed immensely to this product, will take another stab at it.. ..and believe it or not, I've even got the F-5B at 75%. Thanks for your incredible patience all

1 pointAnyone interested in seeing a definitive, reworked nations.ini with new decals for all the added services? Right now I have the Russian Air Force added as an extension of the Soviet Air Force, with the new Russian star decal starting from 2010 as historically correct. Basically, it's just the Soviet Air Force that changes name to the Russian Air Force as soon as you select 1992 as the mission date. I have also added the newly reformed Libyan Air Force, and I am planning to proceed this way by adding those countries who had and/or have an air force. So I will also add Biafra and Katanga, for instance. The Soviet Naval Aviation has been added as a separate service. It should have been like this since day one, but TK grouped everything into the Soviet Air Force. I am not sure about adding army aviation branches (like those included in some of yakarov's helo mods), but if I do they will be complete with decals. Here below a quick glimpse; The Russian star was made and included by eburger68 in one of his mods. I added/made the other decals. If I manage to obtain permission, I'd also like to include numerous medal packs for various nations, such as the ones created by Capitaine Vengeur.

1 pointanimate flaps on their own as Flap mode...then add a small invisible box etc... link flap to it and when you animate the "box" you can have it activate in take off mode seperately in a different anim slot key in game... you can then add as many things to one slot\ and key press as you like

1 pointThanks much, also thinking of doing some repaints if I find the time. I've noticed at least one Mainstay has this dark grey repaint in real life. Also the Su-30SMs I see in real life have that same kinda topside color so going to repaint the one released to that color... Problem is, next weekend long story short I'll be away from the home computer... Solution: Release a future V 1.1 with the repaints and squash any bugs found by CombatACE users.

1 pointTake your time, I look forward to it! Oh, BTW, I noticed from your screenshots that some Sukhois are still using the old Soviet Red star insignia. Since 2010 the Russian Air Force is using a new one. With my decals mod, stock SF2 aircraft dynamically change the Soviet star insignia according to the chosen mission year. However, third-party aircraft might use fixed decals, hence why you see the old Soviet star on them. Might be worth looking at.

1 pointWell guys just wrote another mission of a JASDF F-35 stalking and slaying a Russian A-50 Mainstay... Also finding some bugs to quash here with 13 days to go before release... things like the control file, the RWR list needing porting over, those kinda annoying things new developers learn only by doing.
-
1 pointThe simplest way to do it is to open the missile's data.ini file and look for "BoosterAccel" and "SustainerAccel" lines. They are near the bottom. Adjust the speed to a number you think is adequate and test the missile in a single mission scenario. Hope this helps

1 pointView File Breguet XIX Republican pack I have depicted three Republican squadrons: 22 Grupo, 23 Grupo and Alas Rojas (Red Wings). I would have liked to assign squadrons (Escuadrilla) to the first two skins but it would have only been guesswork. The Red Wings was a unit that was equipped with a range of aircraft including: nine Breguet XIXs; five Nieuport 52s; one Fokker F.VIIB; and one DH89 Dragon Rapide. It operated in the Aragonian front, hitting targets in Zaragoza, Huesca, Tardienta and Barbastro. LloydNB Submitter LloydNB Submitted 04/26/2019 Category First Eagles - Golden Era - Allied Skins

1 pointDecals for Mercenary, Dhimar and Paran were low-res (128x128) when compared to those of other stock nations. I remade them at the higher stock resolution (256x256). Notice the new, generic Mercenary insignia. It always bothered me that it showed Dhimari colours. Now this insignia is adapt for a fictional Mercenary unit, to be deployed anywhere in the SF2 world.

1 pointOf all bases that you cited, only Prince Sultan is really needed. The others have been used mostly by transport aircraft and heavy bombers. And I added such bases as OffMap ones anyway, to be used for the AI aircraft. I really “appreciate” that people are trying to diminish my efforts at terrain making. I was expecting a remake of Operation Darius on the 2003+ version of the terrain, but that one is now being made with another terrain. If you people want to work on another terrain for ODS, feel free to do so. What strikes me is that the original ODS terrain was much wrong and inaccurate, and people never cared. I could have placed Prince Sultan AB on a wrong location as in the original, and people would have never noticed. I spent three years, between RL commitments, into making a “small” terrain full of airbases, lakes, rivers, everything being carefully placed and tiled according to satellite imagery. I even added historical FOBs and Iraqi Strongpoints, thanks to the military documents I gathered. But I guess only a few notice such details. It's a pity. Alright, rant is over. Over and out.
