2 pointsSo to any Ace Combat Fans here like me, I found some voice packs from Ace Combat and I am thinking about making these to Speech files for SF2, depending what I can work with I try and as much of the speech files I can, These will range from 5, 0 and 4 voice packs @DEVIL11
-
2 pointsthat would be great Russ!!! That's really all it's been missing; That would allow the NA game coding to park them on the ship (after I change the "CarrierParkingSpan=" statement. Those inner wing sections (when exposed on folding would need meshing and mapping, but you knew that already! I'd just map those to a seperate sheet, as to not change the main aircraft skins.
-
2 pointsExactly. As I said, I see no real issue about this. We're talking about sounds from no longer sold videogames (Ace Combat trilogy for the PS2 from early 2000s), not the latest ones which are still sold officially by the brand publishers and/or developers. Long story short, the developers and publishers of the Ace Combat series (Bandai Namco) can no longer sell the mentioned Ace Combat titles due to licensing issues (they built aircraft with licensing from the likes of Northrop, Boeing, Panavia, SAAB, etc.). This does not apply to their recent releases. @russouk2004 3d models are a different matter (not the discussion of this thread), and that's what we should be more cautious about; I obviously agree about it. Obviously, admins have the last word on it. I think it's way more troublesome to see sound files from games which are still sold and copyrighted, such as IL-2 1946, Enemy Engaged, and Falcon 4.0, and those are already shared here at CA.

2 pointsYes, I know what you mean. It's a beautiful game series, especially for its themes and soundtracks. It's a pity it is so overlooked. It deserves more attention. AH was a good game, just not a good Ace Combat game. They should have released it without the Ace Combat brand name.
-
2 pointsLittle heads-up. The new cockpit 3d model is still in the works, a few fixes remain but it's giving a bit of trouble. When it is completed, I will release the package. The cockpit will feature more realistic MFDs, I will post comparison shots in due time. In the meantime, I also fixed minor issues; the real Raptor carries around 18,411 lbs of fuel, over 26,000 lbs with external fuel tanks. Now this is properly reflected in-game. It can't get more realistic than this.
-
2 pointsI am almost obsessed with Ace Combat it is my life, I have played all of them, even though I believe 5 is overrated, AH is a guilty pleasure and 2, 3(JP), 0, 6, X and 7 are my favorite

1 pointNuni Orbital Industries Advanced Energy Systems has the pleasure to present two new weapon system prototypes. 1. The tactical laser: Implemented as a gun system with more than 10000m/s muzzle velocity, and continuous fire capacity. (Just need that good old laser sound from AC) Its lightweight design will allow its installation in ground stations and even fighterjets! A major contract has been already signed with Boeing and Airbus to install a prototype adapted to space, another step towards the promised Colonial Fleet! 2. The Asgard Plasma Beam: Equivalent to a 90000kg penetration warhead, fast enough to reach the designated target in a matter of seconds. Our brightest scientists and engineers will continue to work on the projects. Soon our outer colonies will have more news from Earth!

1 pointThere's the mission five (aka "go" in Japanese) I was looking for in my brain yesterday!!!!
-
1 pointGuessing you are doing it for your own use, as there might be some legal issues when making it for public use... ?

1 pointI use this little batch tool: http://www.simwarrior.com/sfp1/BackTrax.html It basically runs a lightweight music player in background. You can specify your music files and how they should be played, in order or randomly. It's not a perfect method, but it works.

1 pointI am an AC fan too! I have speech files from the PS2 Ace Combat games, but I see it's difficult to obtain anything useful to replace all of the speech files of SF. I doubt you'll find exact words that match SF's way of applying in-game speech. That being said, I wish you luck. Ace Combat voiceovers are a huge, beautiful part of the game series.

1 pointSorry this thread's been dead for so long. Work has continued on an "as able" basis. Although I admit playing around with the F-111 is a bit more fun than backroom stuff. Backroom Stuff Backroom stuff? Just made these two screens today: Granted, I'm probably going to replace the top one in the near future. But at least now when I boot this build up, it looks like a JASDF 2020 SF2 sim and not a Vietnam War sim! Working on background music as well. Hit a brick wall this morning importing this very JASDF song so went to this instead. GOT SOME NEW JETS... You'll have to pay close attention to see all of the new red jets coming. But the new MiG-31 is going to be a big hit. Also the Su-30SM with a more realistic/timely skin will be a but not the primary adversary for the F-15Js. Below are a couple preview shots: Finally, one more red jet announcement: You will be splashing Il-72s also. Yet you'll also be flying sorties in the JASDF F-35A & F-2A. Stealth will be important with the big radars of big jets you'll be up against, but also you'll be leading the grand finale maritime strike needing both ASM-3s and IR bombs. "WHAT IF" Also I've had some ideas of some "What If" scenarios that will be uploaded separately. Scenarios like: What if there was a JMSDF AEGIS destroyer helping cover the cargo ships getting away from the Kurils? What if that same JMSDF Aegis Destroyer was returning when the Russians mounted their alpha strike? What if a JASDF F-4 Phantom attempted a photo recon run of Russian ships? How close could it get before getting shot down, even with say... F-2A and/or F-15J escort? What if the JASDF bought from the RAAF as an interim strike-fighter the... RAAF F-111. To keep the F-111 airworthy for 10-15 years until sufficient F-35As would come online, the F-111 would be only for maritime strike and maritime reconnaissance with a Japanese F-2A radar & such to support the latest JASDF weapons. Rarely flown as the F-111s serve as JASDF's "big stick" against invasion attempts of its outlying islands to replace the F-1 + F-4 + a significant number of F-2Bs destroyed in the 2011 tsunami at a bargain basement cost. Figure this update should whet our shared appetites.

1 pointThey thought you would get a mutual kill with active radar missiles but nobody considered an Archer from a Su-27 hitting a F-15J shooting back with a 20mm...

1 pointInertia is probably in kgm (or Nm?). It's sum of masses multiplied by distance to CG. Three values for all axis. It determine force on steering plates needed to start turn or climb.

1 pointAlso here are the changes made to SF2 over SF1 you might benefit from some of the changes.

1 pointThe only version of Strike Fighters officially supported for Windows 10 will be released after May 2020: Some people might have SF Project 1 running on Win 10 - however if something breaks the game there is little you can do................ so in the long run best to get the newer version that is supported on Windows 10...............that is the best advice I can give you.

1 pointwas: now: most of the dark blue parts are unchanged...(nozzles and wings were processed also) the rest (colorful) is tinkered...one way or another. And I am not even a big fan of F-22. Reason and motivation is behind one person - his dedication to the project is remarkable. It was a great pleasure to work with him on this. It was not just demands and requests - waiting for the final product. It was full cooperation in all aspects. If ever you need to work on something - go with Menrva.
