4 pointsSomeone in another thread posted about lack of trim. There is this poor man's method to add it, assuming you have a stick, and are not just flying with your keyboard. If anyone remembers who came up with it, let me know. It was many many years ago. In your /ModFolder/Controls/Default.INI (or whatever you named your control mappings file), make the following changes: [RangedControl001] AxisControl=PITCH_CONTROL MaxValue=1000.000000 MinValue=-1000.000000 DeadZone=1.000000 Saturation=80.000000 ReverseJoystick=TRUE MouseScale=10.000000 UseMouseRate=FALSE ReverseMouse=TRUE LimitValue=TRUE SelfCenterRate=0.000000 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< KeyControlRate=0.100000 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< AllowKeyControl=TRUE IncreaseControl=PITCH_DOWN DecreaseControl=PITCH_UP CenterControl= [RangedControl003] AxisControl=ROLL_CONTROL MaxValue=1000.000000 MinValue=-1000.000000 DeadZone=1.000000 Saturation=80.000000 ReverseJoystick=FALSE MouseScale=10.000000 UseMouseRate=FALSE ReverseMouse=FALSE LimitValue=TRUE SelfCenterRate=0.000000 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< KeyControlRate=0.100000 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< AllowKeyControl=TRUE IncreaseControl=ROLL_RIGHT DecreaseControl=ROLL_LEFT CenterControl= Now your arrow keys will act as trim. Map them to your trim switch via your stick's software. Adjust the KeyControlRate to your sensitivity preference. I've never been able to get anything to map to CenterControl, and have it create an effect. I was hoping it would work to ZERO out any trim entered.

3 pointsView File Su-21S/P "Flagpole" When the Su-21S, codenamed "Flagpole" by NATO, appeared in 1978, it surprised the West which initially thought the plane to be just another failed Flagon update experiment or a testbed for systems of the recently identified Ram-L or Ram-K aircrafts. It turned out to be a long endurance PVO interceptor, possibly meant as an interim or low-cost alternative to these new designs, using a clearly Flagon inspired but brand-new airframe and, according to some intelligence, reusing existing systems to mitigate development risk. The aircraft is purported to use a single uprated R-35 derived from the one already used in PVO Floggers for propulsion, also borrowing the MiG-23P's radar, albeit with a larger antenna and more powerful emitter and using R-24 and R-60 missiles (up to 4 of each for a total of 8). It has been seen using up to 3 large drop tanks to accomplish its goal of long endurance patrol in the defence of the central and eastern regions of the USSR. Going against the trend of recent PVO-only interceptors, the Su-21 has 2 internal guns, sources suggesting these to be weirdly old-fashioned NR-30 with a hundred rounds each, as well as what seems to be decoy launchers. This surprisingly elegant design was joined in 1980 by a dual-seat version, initially thought to be a trainer, but proving to be another interceptor, the Su-21P. While the single-seater Su-21S became a not too uncommon sight on the Soviet Western frontier, the Su-21P was almost absent, being more common on the other borders, the exact operationnal reason remains unclear as these planes seem to be otherwise identical. Recent sightings suggest that the plane might not be a PVO exclusive as what are thought to be Su-21s were spotted in AV-MF colours, but not enough is known at present. NOTEWORTHY OBSERVATIONS - As it was started as an AI only asset for my own use, I kept the original F-15 cockpit. - Likewise, as an AI only asset for my own use, I haven't taken the time to produce hangar and loading pics. - I did the minimal amount of modification to the INI. - All skins can be used on both variants if you want to switch things around. - I have included AV-MF inspired skins in the Su-21P folder, for those that might be interested (waves at Stratos), they should be considered a not so hidden easter egg. - PSD templates specific to this Soviet version should be released alongside. - Read the damn READ ME for install. CREDITS Everyone at Cocas Aircraft Factory for their work on the plane, and especially Cocas for listening to my whin... errrr... suggestions and always nicely doing what I was pestering him to do (the guy is just too nice for his own good) and to Nyghtfall for giving us the templates without which I probably wouldn't have bothered to do something in a releasable form. AmokFlo for the ejection seats. The Trooper for the pilot reskin. (I believe) PauloPanz for the Dark Blue Soviet numbers decals. (I believe) Lindr2 for the R-24 and R-60. Any error or omission is just that, feel free to correct me if I forgot or misattributed anything, everything should be under the CA Fair Use umbrella unless I messed up. 2 pointsView File F-4D Phantom II in ANG Service. This is a skin/decal set for Phabulous Phantom. Basic modding skills are required to run this mod. (copy/paste, mod folder structure etc.) Pack contains skins and decals representing all F-4D users amid Air National Guard units. Skins are made for stock F-4D_78. F-4D was used between 1977 -1990 in ANG and these skins are fitting in 13 years of service. Mostly all serial numbers are correct for specific dates and units. If you will find some errors please feel free to send correction notes. No ini files for this as this is only skin sets. Just simply add skin folders to your favorite F-4D_78. Or create a new, specific one for ANG use. You will find that some aircraft wear kill marks as in real life. If you want to have your own kill marks you have to modify decal.ini file. To fully enjoy this skin set you need to have ThirdWire F-4D_78. All skins are done in 2048x2048 based on Sundowners and Ravenclaw's work. Brand new Bump files in 2048x2048. All decals made by me. Enjoy. Regards. Jarek Hereda Submitter yakarov79 Submitted 05/16/2020 Category F-4

2 pointsGrumman Intruder S.1 - No.214 Squadron, RAF Bomber Command, 1966 In 1963, with the Mark 2 versions of the Vulcan and Victor becoming the spearhead of Bomber Command, four Valiant squadrons (49, 148, 207 and 214) were assigned to SACEUR forming a powerful strike wing based at Marham in Norfolk. But during the summer of 1964 fatigue cracks were discovered in the front and rear wing spars of several aircraft and whilst serious consideration was given to a rebuild programme the estimated unit cost of this was close to the original price of a Valiant so a rebuild programme was ruled out. However, when further cracks were discovered the RAF reluctantly grounded the Valiant in December 1964. In January 1965, this lead to Denis Healey (Minister of Defence) declaring that the Valiant situation was "causing considerable embarrassment for us with our NATO allies" and that an interim solution was urgently being sought "to restore our missing strike power and commitment to SACEUR". With US President Lyndon Johnson already critical of Harold Wilson's refusal to commit British troops to Vietnam, Wilson and Healey needed a quick solution and in February 1965 they pulled off a deal with the US Government and the Grumman Aircraft Engineering Corporation to take 60 A-6K Intruder aircraft straight off the Grumman production line at Bethpage. Designated as the Intruder S.1 and finished in anti-flash white the A-6K's were optimised for the nuclear strike role armed with American Mk28 (B-61) free-fall tactical nuclear bombs before switching to the UK WE.177B in late 1966. Entering service with No.214 squadron in June 1965 the RAF's Intruder S.1 force built up at RAF Marham before being transferred to RAF Geilenkirchen during the Spring of the following year.

2 pointsFormation of 4 Mirage IIIEZ fly low level to avoid early radar acquisition... Their target is a training camp in Cahama. They dropped bombs Anti-aircraft artillery was expected... ZU-23s were seen firing from two different directions... SA-7 gunners were also present... However even though almost all missiles tracked the targets, Mirages accelerated and missiles missed... During the last raid a single Mirage released its ordnance and started accelerating while climbing... Only seconds before impact an another pilot saw a small missile getting very close... Mirage IIIEZ suffered critical damage and was shot down... While the formation was returning back to base they realized that an another aircraft had been hit by 23mm guns at right wing... Damaged aircraft landed safely and grounded for the necessary repairs. After some days it became operational.

1 pointIf you want to take things one step further, after doing JSF_Aggies edit you can also remove the automatic pitch trim feature by modifying the aircraft data ini. This will more or less force you to use the pitch trim at times. Here's an example using ThirdWires Lightning 53. I gave this a quick test and some trimming required during normal flight with more required during approach and landing when extending gear and flaps. [FlightControl] StallSpeed=71.02 CruiseSpeed=206.42 ClimbSpeed=347.62 CornerSpeed=194.97 LandingSpeed=72.35 MaxG=6.00 MaxSpeedSL=334.58 MachLimit=2.000 MachLimitDry=1.227 PitchDamper=0.6 RollDamper=0.4 YawDamper=0.0 SideslipDamper=0.0 StabilityAugmentation=0.5 GunBoresightAngle=0 RocketBoresightAngle=0 FlapSettingForLanding=1 FlapSettingForTakeOff=1 AutoTrimLimit=0.0//....................................................................ADD THIS I don't have enough buttons on the stick to run this and prefer the auto pitch trim feature anyway but this might be of interest to some. I think Strato's was checking this out at one point but not sure if he ever noticed any issues.

Layers starting with : NM are for generating the Normal Map SM are for generating the Specular Map DM Mask are masks for generating various camo patters for the Diffuse Map DM are for generating the Diffuse Map I hope everything is clearly labelled, I have flattened existing skins to conserve space and reduce the number of layers, but the presence of masks and the palette should help if required. 1 pointView File Aircraft Carrier "Kuznetsov" ex Kremlin Class Aircraft Carrier "Kuznetsov" ex Kremlin Class ***************************************************** This mod is made for SF2. ---------------------------------------------------------- I. History Since the 50th the Soviet Navy tried to get aircraft carriers. But the political leadership denied all attempts to build such vessels. So the Admirality tried to get carriers through the back door. They declared such ships would be neccessary to hunt down american submarines. So the big ASW ships Moskva and Leningrad were built. But the design was terrible. Thatswhy the project 1143 was developed, better known as Kiev class. The Kiev class was to small to operate conventional fix wing jets. So the ships were equipped with VTOL planes, the Yak-38. But this plane was no match for american or west european carrierbased planes. Thatswhy the flightdeck of project 1143.4 was made longer. The ship was named Baku. It was built for the supersonic Yak-41. A plan-B was to use the MiG-29K in the air group of the Baku. The next step was to make the project 1143 ships bigger and longer. 1143.5 was launched in 1982. First named as Riga, then Breshnev, then Tblissi and in 1990 renamed into Kuznetsov. When the USSR broke into parts the Kuznetsov was transfered to the russian North Fleet. The sister ship 1143.6, Riga was renamed in 1990 into Varjag (Viking). It was not operational when it was was given to the Ukraine. The Ukraine had not had enough money to finish the ship. Thatswhy it was sold to China. China finished the ship, modified it and named it Liaonang. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- II. CREDITS: This is a mod of the ship "Admiral Flota Sovetskogo Soyuza Kuznetsov", made by rokieborhgunder, which you can find here: https://combatace.com/files/file/17091-admiral-flota-sovetskogo-soyuza-kuznetsov/ ---------------------------------------------------------- III. INSTALLATION: -Unzip the folders into your SF2 mod folder ------------------------------------------------------------- IV. Known Problems: The mod is not perfect. Eight gun turrets are not of the correct type. The gun barrels looking always in the wrong direction. The SA-9N missiles does not start from the silos, but from mid of the ship. The Ship to Ship missiles also start from mid of the ship. ---------------------------------------------------------- V. For remarks, comments, bugs, etc please use the forum or send me a PM. ------------------------------------------------------------- VI. The Kuznetsov and all other files are FREEWARE. COMMERCIAL USE IS NOT ALLOWED! ------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ Hope you enjoy it. 1 pointAfter more than a year from its first release, the much appreciated realSKY mod has received a major update. This is a glimpse of what to expect; Added different cloud textures for each weather type. Rebalanced sky colours; twilights have been reworked to be more dramatic and atmospheric, whilst keeping realism as the main aim. Here below, screenshots taken during Scattered weather (plus two suggestive shots with Broken weather). Notice the different cloud texture between the two, and the complete twilight transition. Following a suggestion by baffmeister, the realSKY mod will now include alternative files which provide different weather effects for Inclement; you can choose between thunderstorm (default), sandstorm (for hot, desert terrains) and snowstorm (for cold, icy terrains). Reworked rain effects; lightnings are now rare, added new rain drops as a camera view effect. Added alternative environment files for snowstorm and sandstorm effects. Screenshots show the new effects (especially the ones that look best when the camera is fixed). Sandstorm weather features darker, brownish fog. Snowstorm features a brighter fog than thunderstorm. Suggested by tiopilotos, the mod now will feature additional tweaks for some stock game effects, namely contrails, wingtip vortexes and exhaust emitters. Added better contrail effect (thanks to EMCON360 for an old comment on the subject). Added improved wingtip vortex effect (credits to Eagle114th). Added new exhaust emitter effects (credits to viper63a and NeverEnough). Contrails are no longer flat; they are volumetric and expand as much as possible, within the limitations of the game engine. Wingtip vortexes are brighter, more varied and longer. Those effects now use their own textures, instead of using the same texture for different purposes as in the stock SF2 game.

1 pointBuccaneer S2 masquerading as the... Buccaneer S1 !!! I know it's a bit poor, but it was mainly to share my files : ) Donwload the textures from Russouk's Buccaneer S1 conversion here : and then you could use my files with the Buccaneer S2 LODs (4 LODs to use from the Ravenclaw's FAA Buccaneer release) : SF2_Buccaneer-S1.rar And here's the link for the Buccaneer S1 serial numbers, just in case someone would create more TGAs ^^ http://www.ukserials.com/results.php?serial=XN ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're still dinosauring in SF1/WOx (like me), here's my files for the Buccaneer S1 with the Buccaneer S2 LOD (only 1 LOD) : Buccaneer-S1.rar But you will have to convert the S1 textures to bmps (and maybe other things I forget...) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will enjoy the De Havilland Gyron Junior underpowered Buccaneer, with a downgraded cockpit Good luck... All minmaxextent positions updated, collision points, etc... Any question, complain ? PM at combatace -> Cliff7600 Thanks
