3 pointsThe labels "not efficient" or "not well optimized" are easy to put on any game when it does not do what you want. But consider that any game engine can be brought to a crawl, by just adding one single resource sucking object to it, with unmanageable poly count. Particularly when multiple instances of that object are in view. PS. I assume the laptop has an SSD. Because these 2,5" mechanical drives, with spin-down power saving, are another story.

3 pointsThanks a lot everyone, I'm aware of the much better mods available, and have used some of them earlier, these along with several other "mods" i've been uploading lately are just fixes i have on my own install, which doesn't seem to handle mods too well unless they are basically nothing but ini edits, and i uploaded them because it took nothing and someone else might have the same issue.

2 pointsWell, the French blue... it's complicated The blue I used for the F1B skin is a clean blue as we can see on the brand new aircrafts and during their operational life the weather makes its work. we chose to make only one skin for the F1B with clean blue.

2 pointsYou are saying FPS issues with mods - Probably because of too high poly count in the scene, in other words, too much detail to be drawn at once. Look at the mods you use, look at the .Lod files of the objects. Then ask yourself: 1) How big is the main lod file? IIRC stock ones are around 1 to 2MB, giving a rough indication of the poly count there. 2) Does the object come with low poly distance lods to use at a distance? Scenes with parked planes are the most heavy to render, so optionally decrease parking spots for airfields and carriers.

1 pointI got a fairly decent laptop recently, able to play modern stuff, but still i get issues with FPS in the game when i have mods in, specially those which take more space. Looks like it is due to using Win 10 with the Win 7 generation. So either i run very few mods, and have parts of the game contrast heavily with one another in the game, or i keep close to none. So what i do on my install is to make certain "mods" that are mostly nothing but ini edits and reused stock stuff to get some slight improvements in the game while keeping the mod folder as light as possible. Examples of this include an expanded campaing in Iceland or Mirage cockpits adapted to make DLC 28 Mirages flyable, but i have several others in use in my install. So what i was wondering is if anybody was interested in "fixes" like that in order to get them more or less polished and shared here

1 pointthere are many terrains that do that as well ( suck up resources). I should know -- I'm the cause of it!!, object wise) They also increase loading times, usually around the, what it is ... 60-80% mark?? it still sounds like lack of video memory. Unless the laptop is specifically designed for gaming, this has been an issue for the last 17 years that I've been involved with this game.

1 pointDid anyone ask the Razbam crew if we could distribute their stuff on here? I have their stuff. I improved it a bit to my own liking. It works in SF2. Seems a shame not to share it if they aren't interested any more.

1 pointIt is a matter of taste, but as far as I am concerned, I find that the cockpit frame of the Meteor very different from the Vautour's. In this respect, the Mystere is better
-
1 pointwhat about using the Metor F.8 cockpit? It's stock, has 2 sets of anunciator gauges, and has a somewhat 1950s steam gauge looks. Been using that one since TK gave it too us. extract the cockpit ini, drop it into the Vulture's folder, and adjust the cockpit position from there. Don't forget to make the main ini read-only, or it'll revert to AI only and wipe out the added statements (of course, everyone knows this already)

1 pointNow you are throwing in loading hickups or something, or are you describing an effect of hitting texture/GPU memory limits? I don't know. But downsizing textures is easy. My previous reply was purely about framerate issues caused by poly-count.

1 pointThere are literally 6 more uploads of this type (below) from Paulopanz Christmas week. All are flyable, using a MUCH closer cockpit PLEASE check the download sections! It'll save you a boatload of work!!

1 pointthis has all been done before. a quick check of the D/L sections would have saved you some work, Mac (hell, even I did the DLC 104Cs after they first came out --)

1 pointI wish speedy recovery for all effected by this events. ----------------------------- This situation can not be solved with black and white paradigms or solutions. There is none like that. These events have many aspects and layers to work with and work through. The virus is only a tool in this equation, not the problem. If you were in the military then you know even the BCN gear could only provide 99% safety, it is only getting close to 100% if procedures are kept in every aspect, but even then there is always a chance for hell to get lose. So ordinary masks will not protect you per say, only lessen the chance to get infected, the ratio is depend on the type you use - and it is also recommended to change it in every 3 hours otherwise your own bacilli will effect you adversely... On the other hand, among healthy people why to wear masks? (Shut up and obey??) Society can not exists if everyone stays home and retire into their shells. There will be always people on the line whom have to take the burden for the goodwill of others, you can't avoid that. If it was a thousand or 2 years earlier, it would be a different scenario, today our way of life makes it impossible to go into full lock downs, does not matter what anyone thinks. Power stations not go alone, water treatment plants not function alone, bakeries not work without people and transportation of goods certainly not automatic and cities will vanish if county folks not work on the fields/farms... Beside its good effect for some, vaccination will also not solve most of the problem, as you can still transmit the virus onto others, even if you not get sick for a certain amount of time, not to mention the possible chronic side effects that different people could develop due to reactions to the components contained in it. Lesser known/promoted fact that hundred years ago during the spanish flu about half the dead were due to the reactions to the vaccine. Also comes the question how often you need to be re-vaccinated due to the new and future mutations of the virus? So both side have pros and cons which are equally valid on their own. Last year's agenda to create fear in population is mostly accomplished, for those whom not decided yet, comes the more viral "news/virus" version. This year's agenda is to divide even further the gap between groups of people to lessen the chance for real collaboration among in order to solve the problem. So comes vaccinated versus non-vaccinated and their various mix of mask and virus believers/non-believers, vaccination passports, etc. Divide and conquer.... Strap in your seats, the next few months will go even deeper in the pit hole they dug for us whether you believe it or not. This situation will take 2 kinds as its victim, those whom immune system is weak and the stupid careless... Everyone will have to decide what is important for them in life.. fame, money, greed, warmongering, fake treatments, exploitation of others and the environment or live in harmony, peace, kindness, eat healthy non-toxicant food, actual cure of illnesses and in harmony with the planet and its ecosystem. And nobody can sit this one out on the sidelines, everyone is affected whether through actual contact with the virus or just being in a society that makes life less and less practical in general that soon become dictatorships of a sort... There is a saying, George Orwell's 1984 was a warning, not a handbook to follow...

1 pointThanks for the update, team, hope the file will be approved later, so I could fly the aircraft after work :-) By the way, I have a question about the French Mirage F1B. Most photos I have come across show the aircraft in what appears to me as a more dull or a darker shade of blue-grey color on the side and upper surfaces as compared to the skins in the mod, which are in a brighter blue color. Is that due to aging and weathering on the actual aircraft, or due to difference in lighting/camera effects, or is it actually a different camo, applied during the later years of service of the aircraft? What confuses me in the picture of the actual aircraft is that most markings appear to be with good contrast, as if freshly applied, which does not match with an aged/faded camo. To compare, here is the Mirage F1C_82, which I believe wears the same skin as the Mirage F1B available (I apologize, I cannot take a screenshot of an actual Mirage F1B at the moment).
