2 pointsI spent the entire day on creating different presets of shaders. This weekend a new version of the realSKY mod will be released! By default, realSKY includes my personal version of the post processing effect, compare it with the stock game. No Post Processing (Effects=High) Menrva's Preset (Effects=Unlimited) In case you don't like it, don't be afraid! The package will include 15 different shaders for you to try! Here below a collage of them all.

realSKY Environment January 13th, 2019 (1st Release) by Menrva >For Strike Fighters 2 games This is my sky enhancement mod. It also combines the work of many other modders, in order to provide a realistic, better looking sky. Here below a quick summary of the changes: -Tweaked sky colours, something in between Cellinsky's widesky and the stock SF2 colours. -More realistic Night colours, sky and ambient are much darker. -More atmospheric, reddish transition from Twilight to Night. -New "dark blue" High Altitude colours (fly near space with a NF-104). -Moon produces a yellowish light instead of the default purple. -Sky is "wider" much like Cellinsky's widesky mod (background horizon clouds are bigger and more noticeable). -Added beautiful cloud graphics made by Cellinsky and ShrikeHawk, tweaked for each weather type. -Added a low number of stray clouds to Clear weather. -Added noticeable clouds to Overcast weather and Inclement weather, "fixing" a known SF2 "bug". -Combined various mods to produce a more interesting Rain Effect under Inclement weather. -Added Stary's lens flare effects from the SARCASM 2 mod, in place of Cellinsky's widesky effects. -Added Cloud Layer graphics by Stary, Fubar512 and Brain32. -Reworked secondary atmospheric effects, such as contrails and wingtip vortexes. In addition, the package includes alternative environment configuration files in the Alternative Weather folder; they enable different effects for the Inclement weather. You can choose between thunderstorm (default, adapt for most terrains), snowstorm (for cold, icy terrains) and sandstorm (for hot, desert terrains). For those who wish not to change the effect globally, I highly suggest to try the included terrain-specific environment example provided for stock SF2 terrains; the default global effect is thunderstorm, while terrains with their own environment file either use sandstorm or snowstorm as appropriate. Use this as a basis to customize other terrains. By setting the Effects to Unlimited, the game makes use of a DirectX 10 post processing effect; the stock game's post processing shader generates a pointless and horrible bloom effect which excessively blinds the player during twilight transitions. By default, realSKY includes a reworked post processing shader (TWPOSTPROCESS.FX) which provides more contrast, more vignetting, minor color correction and a daytime-only bloom effect, so it's miles better than what the stock game offers. Alternative post processing tweaks are included in the Alternative Shaders folder; choose the one you wish to try (check the included screenshots for fast comparisons) and overwrite the default one in your mod's Flight folder. 1 pointI have discovered how to change SPECULAR and GLOSSINES level of LOD models for Thirdwire. If you wanna to make any mat model to be glossines and more stylish, and you have ONLY a *.lod output file, it is very easy way to do it ! Use any Hex editor - for example Hackman ( http://www.technologismiki.com/prod.php?id=31 ) and edit a lod file with this app. And follow : switch display mode to Hex&ASCI, and find a ASCI 'bmp' word, and it will be a material name shown on results. Next you must change all values as on the sample image attached below. If anyone wants to have more specular settings, post me at this forum message. View the image attached !

1 pointView File EmlD Nieuport 24 E (trainer) for First Eagles 2 EmlD Nieuport 24E (trainer) "Issoudun Nieuport series" for First Eagles 2 This is a full aircraft type, trying to represent the trainer Nieuports used by United States at Issoudun. "Issoudun Nieuport series" a set of several Nieuports used by the United States to train pilots during WW1 in France at Issoudun airdrome. Many of these Nieuports had very atypical painting schemes, between them, two with fish scales were "The Jazbo" And the "Flying Fish" (also called the "Dragon ship" or "Gwynne's Goldfish") and several others. Also these were considered "special ships" and representative of their unit. Often they were just for formation flying. Each crew tried to keep these bird primed for inspection. At Field eight there were multiple single coloured Nieuport 24 types used as aggressors for camera armed dogfights so a student could prove he had gotten his opponent. I gathered most of them in this series of skins. This first pack features EmlD Nieuports 24 that I renamed Nieuport 24E (trainer). You will find several versions for some of the planes with different colors at your choice. ** What you will find in this Nieuport 24 Pack: - Eight (8) Nieuport 24 Skins in several versions & Colors options. All used by 3rd Air Instructional Center (3rd AIC) at Issoudun France. 1- Two (2) Nieuport 24 flown by pilots 0f 31st Aero Squadron. 2- Four (4) Nieuport 24 of unknown squadrons used by "3rd AIC" at Issoudun. (several versions) 3- Two (2) Nieuport 24 of of unknown squadrons photographed at Pruniers airfield, Romorantin, France. 4- Geezer pilot figure new textures (US Pilot) that I painted to be used with Geezer's "wwiPilotNew3". The LODs are adjusted to use JPG textures but I included a folder with the BMPs files for First Eagles 1 users. You will find (4) four layout options. The new texture has a "US UNIFORM" as standard layout. To use the others with scarfs, you must to exchange the file names: -To use the "DARK BLUE" scarf you must to rename OPTIONAL-DARK BLUE-Pilot And Scarf.jpg to Pilot And Scarf.jpg __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -To use the "LIGHT BLUE" scarf you must to rename OPTIONAL-LIGHT BLUE-Pilot And Scarf.jpg to Pilot And Scarf.jpg __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -To use the "US FLAG" scarf you must to rename US FLAG-Pilot And Scarf.jpg to Pilot And Scarf.jpg __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ -To use the "US UNIFORM" you must to rename US UNIFORM-Pilot And Scarf.jpg to Pilot And Scarf.jpg __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 5- A new cockpit textures in two options (1024x1024 JPG & TGA) & (2048x2048 JPG & TGA).(Included BMP files) for First Eagles 1 users. 6- New hangar screens (several versions). __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ - The LODs are adjusted to use JPG textures this is only for FE2 users. - I painted new textures for the cockpit. I drew a new "GLASS.tga" to complement all of them. The gauges & needles were made as close as possible to the real instruments. - I'm releasing two versions: One in 1024x1024(JPG & TGA) and other in 2048x2048(JPG & TGA). - I set the 1024x1024(JPG & TGA) as standard for the planes. - I painted as well, new hangars screens for these planes. The screens are in 1920x1200 size with some options for your choice. *OBS: If you are running a low-end computer I do not recommend the use of 2048x2048 cockpit textures. __________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The aircraft will fly only reconnaissance "RECON" missions. 1 pointHow about: 1) implementing streamers for formation leaders. 2) O.B. and German 1918 parachutes. 3) Recon formations which adopt a defensive circle when attacked (think only the British/French did this, maybe only the helpless RFC two-seaters like the FE2bs). Documented by Gould and several others. 4) the use of Very lights (flares?) to signal when the (RFC?) formation could break up ('wash out'). Documented by Gould and several others. Have also read about Very lights being by two-seaters to attract help from friendly scouts when being attacked. 5) Pilots waving their arm, for instance when meeting or regrouping. Or when disengaging after a lengthy but inconclusive combat with an enemy (to signify farewell). 6) Airfields implementing lights or flares after they have been bombed in order to warn returning aircraft to be careful when landing.

1 pointAhhhh, you have created the beast I see !!! My Wishlist. We all know my suggestions for a bombsight, and pilots wings on completion of training. 1. Maurice Farmans of varying types 2. Morane Bullet 3. Voisin 5 & 8 4. Vickers Gunbus 5. Albatros 2 seaters 6. RAF FE 8 7. AEG G IV and C IV loads of German 2 seaters which were commonly seen and used. 8 Hanriot HD 1 9. Belgian Squadrons. 10. Maybe some British bombers HP 0400, or Vimy, maybe . 11. Spad 2 seaters . (Spad XI) An addon DLC for the Eastern Front, or the Italian front would be nice to see at some point as well.
