5 pointsA mig-29 can easily trash an su-35. Technology doesn't mean squat, its always been the skill of the human in the seat first.

1 pointFollowing initial trials in the early 1960's the US Army purchased 10 Fiat G-91R1's for evaluation in Vietnam, much to the annoyance of the USAF ...After completion of the trials the US Army requested delivery of a new planned G-91YS variant in the planning stages at that time. The USAF strongly objected fearing a rival to the F-5A and intrusion on their own missions sets. This was further exacerbated when the small, powerful, nimble, gun and missile-armed jets achieved some air-to-air kills. South Vietnam also trialed the aircraft but took the F-5 instead after pressure from the USAF and US politicians. The remaining airframes were shipped back to the states for disposal.

1 pointGood explanation! Just some small add ons: DecalFacing= TOP, BOTTOM, LEFT, RIGHT, FRONT, BACK Reverse= TRUE or FALSE <--- to mirror a decal on another side to have both sides facing the same direction.

1 pointcopied from an old post of mine, but still breaks down the elements of a decal.ini entry [Decal001] MeshName=Fuselage ---------------- actual node it goes on. limit 3 tga per DecalLevel=2 ---------------------------- 4 different levels. O ties to nation, 1 ties to unit, 2 is serialized and unique to each aircraft, 4 is kills iirc. 2 is normally used for serial numbers but can be used for individual schemes/camoflage or nose arts DecalFacing=RIGHT ----------------- self explanitory. basic directions included TOP, FRONT, LEFT, RIGHT FilenameFormat=B-52G_89/DiegoGarcia/D/FuseR naming convention. the D folder in this is not really needed, but a habit amongst the senior modders that i picked up Position=-2.75,0.0 ----------------- self explanitory. Rotation=0.0 ----------------- self explanitory. Scale=48.00 ----------------------------------------------- not usually this big. can be either side of the decimal point, mine are often huge due to a tga covering the whole fuselage side or wing. but one could make a bigger tga with high detail and scale below 1.0 to place on model DecalMaxLOD=3 --------------------- Wrench can explain better than me, but iirc has to do with distance visible in the case of the file name format FilenameFormat=B-52G_89/DiegoGarcia/D/FuseR aircraft/skin/D/your decal for the basics of how to add the decal.ini, look in the knowledge base for SF1 and SF2.

1 pointI think the plane acts oversensitive to joystick input. This is a flight model issue, which you cant solve easily. The quick and easy solution is to stay below the speed level where the "wobbeling" appears and handle the joystick with care.

1 pointOne yes, two as well, but that many by the same pilot without being shoot down and being capable to return to base everytime is barely possible. It has been debunked tons of times.

1 pointI think I'm good with it, as most of the skins are just single pieces that represent a bird that has a good Modex. Most CAG birds and the like are good to do as I don't have to worry about decals and the like, but I'll keep my options open.

1 pointThe template is high res so I won't do a .tga decal for weathering, it's a bit much doing it on the skin rather than a decal. And I don't have much love for decals, especially when you can just paint it on the texture. I have yet to do decal work for the TW F-14A (I want to do a late Iran bird, but I can't access the DLC in which the TW one is) and probably limit that to the Modex if anything.

1 pointI can explain how I work on the Nyghtfall PSD file actually. Open the necessary map file and hide all the unecessary layers ( with the small eye button) and left only the basic camo to work with, At this point I export the file as a JPG format, as I noted is more simple to work. At this point you work directely on this file and when finished, reopen the original PSD file and this time hide the camo layer, pratically all the contrary of the previous step. Now you have the layers with rivets, panel lines,ecc... and you can copy and past over your reworked camo et voilà. BTW I'm a noob on skin without a precise and technically right modus operandi...

1 pointIt was hard to believe MiG-17s were taking down F-4s and F-105s, but it happened. There is no substitute for good pilots and good tactics. I doubt either side of the current conflict has had much money to spend on training and maintenance, so the winner will be whoever figures out how to use their strengths against the enemy's weaknesses. At present, I have seen no facts, only hearsay and speculation. But I don't doubt that it is possible for a MiG-29 to beat an Su-35 for the same reasons that a MiG-25 was able to down an F/A-18 Hornet.

1 pointSorry, one of my laziest yet. Probably will spend more time writing the post than making this. In the early 40s, many of the factions who supported Franco during the Spanish Civil War had become disenchated, seeing Spain as subservient towards Nazi Germany, seeing no signs of restoration and watching other fascist dictatorships fail, and by 1944, with the Allies landing in Normandy and making a German intervention all but impossible, took the opportunity ousted the General in favour of Juan III, heir of Alfonso XIII, last king before the Republic, which in turn reinstated a constitutional monarchy, who joined the Allies against Germany, although by that time and still in poor condition after the war, there wasn't much Spain could do to contribute to the Allied war effort other than seasoned veterans and new supply and attack routes. Having been trained by the Royal Navy, Juan III was considered an Anglophile, and during the efforts to rebuild the country after the war, the Gloster Meteor became the first jet fighter of the Spanish Air Force, seeing combat in Korea and Western Sahara. Stock F8, Syrian camo with arab numerals replaced with the Israeli ones. It really took me more time to come up with the alternate story than getting the skin. Edit: Just felt like I had to add some more. After Korea, it was clear the Meteor was useful but obsolescent, and a new fighter was needed. While the Hawker Hunter was promising, it was the Canadair Sabre Mk6 that was selected This is my FrankenSabre. I couldn't stop getting the proper Mk6 to stall and spin, but the F-86F40 was foolproof enough to me, so I copy-pasted an Orenda on it along with a ton of other things. It has so many mismatched parts I can't credit properly, but to name a few, Zur, Wrench, PauloPanz... The skin was Ethiopian, I think, but could be Iranian or South African It is indeed Strahi's Ethiopia, butchered a bit. I just had several generic looking ones made to save space.

1 pointRaine, Hawkwood's story reads like a proper novel! Really enjoying it. MFair, congrats on the victory! It's getting dangerous out there, so be careful. Albrecht, I see Herr Boelcke will have some serious competition with his Dicta. Fine work. Paroni, the quiet times will definitely come to an end in 1916, unless something has been changed in the sim in one of the recent patches. Seb, Andrews is making short work of the boches! I almost feel sorry for them. Albert, a fun read about Sid's little adventure in Paris. It's definitely a different world out there, compared to the front. *** All of you who are struggling with your claims, may I remind you of the following organization responsible for the decision making process: Made by our resident Gong Fairy, Lou, many years ago.
