3 pointsHello, thank you for your comments. The project was always intended to be mission-based, but during early alpha builds some talented modders did create a campaign for it so there is definitely that potential.

SF2 UH-1B Huey Slick & Hog Remod Pack 9/14/2022 -For SF2 (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)- This package contains remods of Pasko's 1stGen UH-1B helicopters, both the 'Slick' and 'Hog' gunships. These aircraft have been given unique name identifiers, as to not have the conflict with other mods of these same birds. I've collected just about all the 1stGen skins I could find for these, and created all new decals for them. Where possible, and discoverable, any serial/BuNums associated with a particular unit have been marked with a star (*). All serials ARE historically correct for the models depicted. In the case of the Canadian Hueys, no "(*) star" is used as the 10 serials ARE the 100% historically correct ones. This mod depicts several models of the UH-1B that are visually "pretty close" to each other. In truth, their minor differences won't effect gameplay in any way, shape or form. These are the UH-1B, UH-1C and UH-1E. Decal randomization is TRUE for all skins. UH-1B Slick == US Army; early and late skins (dark or lighter OD) US Army Medevac: possibly representing 57th Medical Detachment USMC : VM0-2 "Cherry Deuce" (used both Slicks & Hogs) Canada: CF-118 3 skins covering their uses and from 1966 thru 1995 in their Search & Rescue and utility service. UH-1B/C/E Hog == US Army; early and late skins (dark or lighter OD) US Navy: HAL-3 Seawolves USMC: HML-167 "Warriors, VMO-6 "Tomcats", The sF2 'date switch' is fully active, so watch for it. Also included are (finally) damage textures, a destroyed model, all weapons, sounds, pilot figures and so forth. The "275rocket" is a stock 3W item, and therefore not included. FM is relatively untouched (ie: "as is"), so be aware. I'm sure further refinements of the FM are needed. On the aircraft selection drop-down menu, you'll see: UH-1B/C/E Huey "Slick" (P) UH-1B/C/E Huey "Hog" (P) Obviously, the "P" stands for Pasko. As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Also =PLEASE= read the "Notes" section for information about Nation assignment for the American birds. Where possible, ALL original readmes have been included. Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein -

2 pointsYankee Air Pirate knowingly pirates' models and content from this site to use and sell as their own. It is not a noble or honest venture. The intellectual property belonging to the authors on this site, your friends, and colleagues, deserves more consideration than an open discussion in support of YAP. Piracy is not a victimless crime.

2 pointsMods are just that. For me, YAP was always a source of 3d models beyond the missions. WTR is a complete mod like Desert Storm or Korean Air War. I don't see any reason why you can't mix the two as you see fit as long as you know what you want and how to edit ini files. The principal difference is YAP has files available for download now. WTR progress has been slow and from an end user perspective remains only screenshots. If WTR ever becomes available and its quality is as high as intended, it probably won't need objects from YAP to improve it, but YAP covers a much wider time frame: take the best of both and make one massive, great install.

2 pointsAt the moments i'm making rivers and roads on the map. So the area west of the river Dnepr looks now in editor tool. New are the rivers Southern Bug, Ingulez, the Dnepr Delta, the canal from town Kriwoi Rog to the Dnepr reservoir. (Still WIP) Towns of Cherson, Kriwoi Rog and Nikopol placed on the map or relocated. Nikolajew and Energodar with the nuclear powerplant will come next.

1 pointmadvad, and when you are adding new ship to your game check it out the nation string. Every moder write as he do it in his own mod folder and nation list. i see French ships with strings NationName=France (Aconit Class Frigate Aconit Class Frigate) and another ship with NationName=FrenchNavy (E-50 Class Escort Rapide) for example. so it needs to do it to the same sintax version i think as your aircraft. so need to recheck every ship. this is my opinion was our problem was in it.
-
1 pointYou did. Once you click, the game generates the mission data and finds no aircraft for the enemy, that is an instant crash. Seriously, let's not reinvent the wheel, trust what I know about the game. The MiG-17 and Badger are not enough. The stock nations called by that terrain require stock MiG-21s. Without those, it's no surprise it crashes as I've explained above. Again, it's not a bug of the terrain but a consequence of your install being too clean than it should. Terrain add-ons rely heavily on stock game objects for various missions types.

Black Knight and the Wolfhounds: F-15C in the 57th FIS and 32d TFS during the 1980s this mod represents the F-15C while in service with the 57th FIS at NAS Keflavik and the 32d TFS at Soesterberg AB. it is semi historical, as good images of all the aircraft were harder to come by especially for the later 80s Installation get original FastCargo aircraft pack from here https://combatace.com/files/file/10443-f-15-super-pack-version-24/ or the viper63a revamp here https://combatace.com/files/file/16186-sf2-f-15-eagle-super-pack-redux-2018/ the skin should work equally well in either. then.... select either just the F-15C and F-15C_85 aircraft (and associated decal folders if you wish, they arent needed for this mod) unzip, drop "Objects" folder into mod folder. should not be any overwriting necessary Included aircraft skin folders and decal folders for F-15C and F-15C_85 aircraft credits viper63a: limited use of decals, skins, much inspiration on how to proceed FastCargo: original model daddyairplanes: minor skin tweeks, revamp of decal layout, tga work TK: the whole original game note: this started as an improvement to my own install on a new system. as i do not usually fly the two seaters, i have no intentions of doing the D models. if interested, i will gladly share the templates so you can create your own. thank you for choosing this mod, i hope that you enjoy it Kevin Unruh aka daddyairplanes Aug 2021 UPDATE 24 September 2022 there is a folder with corrected textures if you encounter your F-15C being blank. this issue was not reported with the F-15C_85. since i revisited this mod, i also change the filepaths for the decal folders, adjusted the decal inis, and added loading screens based on the old TW style but specific to the mod. big thanks to DEVIL11, who brought the texture issue to my attention. -

Bis version is little bit faster. Iddle RPM changed to RL values: R-11F-300 (37F) 30% R-11F2-300 (37F2) 33% R-11F2S-300 (37F2S) 31% R-13 (95) 34% R-25 (25) 40% Corrected fuel tanks quantities to reflect real world figures. F - 2350L PF - 2850L PFM - 2675L MF - 2675L BIS - 2900L Changed all additional files with Mig21_ prefix so all are unique now and not interfere with other mods. F version now have true ranging-only radar. It can be still turned off by Ctrl+PgDn. In current game engine this radar starts on. Added KV1 seat to all MF and Bis variants. Deleted old seat from model. Added SF2 Mig variants. Changed FMs little bit based on Fubar512 values on alpha stall to make Migs usable in knife fight. It not bleeds speed in sharp high AOA turns so much. Added vetral fin from Fubar512 FM. Added aditional SF2 stuff (radar, rwr) into fm dats. 1.1 01.10.2009 Fixed afterburner burner texture always on. Original R-25 had bad looping and i do not like it. Fixed centerline station system from left wing to fuselage for PF and PFV. Added loadable GP-9 gun pod for PF, PFV and PFM. This pack inludes nearly all official Thirdwire MIG-21 models as flyable jets with cokcpits in most complete form what my modding knowledge allows. All in easy install form. I am not author of any 3d pits, FMs, sounds. All is what i downloaded from Combatace or made by Thirdwire. I want to thank to original authors of included files and this nice sim. Hope it is ok to reuse their work to provide really complete, up-to-date and easy to install Mig-21 package. I was always sad with that great pits available and terrible way to install it into latest ptached games and it is always missed something. Loading screens, loadout picture, good FM and so on... Now with latest patches FMs are usable and nicely flyable so i used it as base FMs for pack. This pack was done with combined/merged SF2/Europe/Vietnam/Israel games. If your single game install missing model that cause problem, just delete its directory in Objects/Aircraft folder. Probablby PFV is included only in Vietnam. Pack contains folowing stuff: ***************************** Nearly every official MIG-21 flyable with pit for SF2 line of games. I corrected some errors in pits, Used latest TW patches as base for FM fat files with tweaks in engine (thrust for each model, spool up time, radar, weight). FM is not touched and i think it flies now ok with latest patch. Diferent sounds for each engine model is included with Mig RWR sounds. Better Mig pilots too. Each Mig-21 has loading and hangar screen and camouflage sample patch with loadout picture. All includes corresponding serial numbers to choose from. I made Numbers.lst for Arab, Czechoslovakia, East Germany and Poland by hand. Strike Fighters 2 MIG-21F MIG-21PF MIG-21PFV MIG-21PFM MIG-21MF MIG-21bis Notes: ****** MIG-PFM has added LCOS gunsight to be able to use gunpod in fight. More realistic and distictive heaters sounds are included too. Instalation: ************ Simply unpack content of folder "StrikeFighters2" into each your SF2 game mods folder located in your c:\Users\<YourUserName>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\. For example for complete/merged game install, copy content to each this folder: c:\Users\<YourUserName>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 c:\Users\<YourUserName>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Europe c:\Users\<YourUserName>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Israel c:\Users\<YourUserName>\Saved Games\ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2 Vietnam Sure paths can be different on your system. This is how it is on my Windows 7. Also copy files after you run all games at least once. Otherwise game overwrite modded files with original ones at initialization and you dont see Migs as flyable. Optional files: Simply unpack content of folder "StrikeFighters2" into each your SF2 game mods folder and allow overwrite files. _BetterCockpits Contains hires cockpit textures. _EasyFM Contains easiest FM files from stock game. _MediumFM Contains intermadiate FM files. Spins are more frequent. _HardFM Contains hardcore FM files. Spins are almost deadly if not handled fast. _PFGunPodLoadout Contains gunpod default loadout for air to air PF and PFV. _ResetInis Contains ini files that are reset to default non flyable ones after game update or DLC install. Just use it to make Migs flyable quickly again Afterword: ********** This version of complete MIG-21 pack is far from to be perfect or complete so feel free to let me know if there is something missed, bad or not working. Also if someone has some more accurate tech data for enhance FMs feel free to mail me and pack get fixed or updated. Finaly thanks to everyone whom work made this pack reality. SF2 MiG-25 Foxbats This mod package contains a collection of MiG-25 Foxbats, all converted and updated to SF2 standards. Included in the package are all the weapons, effects, pilots, and seats that you will need to install and use any of the aircraft in this package. These aircraft can be used in SF2, SF2E, SF2V, SF2I, or SF2NA. To install and use them, you should ensure that your SF2 installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level. See below for installation instructions. Those familiar with the original MiG-25 Pack assembled by Dave (USAFTML) for SFP1 will rightly recognize that this updated package simply builds on the work of Dave and the entire team behind that original release. (The original ReadMe from that release is included here.) ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ To install, simply drag the \Effects and \Objects folders to your SF2 Mods Folder (NOT the folder that the game installs to). By default your Mod Folder should be located here: Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\[username]\My Documents\ThirdWire\[Game]\ Windows Vista: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\ Windows 7: \Users\[username]\Saved Games\ThirdWire\[Game]\ ...where [username] is the account you log into within Windows and [Game] is the name of the particular game mod folder that you're moving the files to. If the aircraft are not showing up in your Single Mission Aircraft menu, then you didn't install all the bits correctly. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aircraft & Nations Included ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The following aircraft are included in this package: MiG-25P Foxbat-A - Interceptor MiG-25R Foxbat-B - Recon version MiG-25RB Foxbat-B - Recon/Bomber version MiG-25PU Foxbat-C - 2 seat trainer MiG-25PD Foxbat-E - Interceptor (updated) MiG-25PD Foxbat-E - Interceptor (updated), Export version MiG-25BM Foxbat-F - Anti-radar version The following nations are represented: USSR India Iraq Libya Syria For more information on the differences between these various versions, see this Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mikoyan-Gurevich_MiG-25 Also useful are these online articles: http://www.airvectors.net/avmig25.html http://www.ausairpower.net/TE-Foxbat-Foxhound-92.html http://everything2.com/title/MiG-25+Foxbat ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Notes on Changes ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This package is largely an updating of the original MiG-25 Foxbat Pack to SF2 standards. I will not claim 100 percent technical and historical accuracy for every aspect of every aircraft, but I did consult a number of sources while preparing this package. Several things are worth noting: - landing gear for all aircraft is fixed, so aircraft no longer bounce and teeter around on the ground or wander off into the weeds (this has long been a pet peeve of mine with these aircraft, and I think I have finally fixed the underlying problem); - brake chute animation for the PD and PD Export version has been disabled, as the animation appears to be partially broken, leaving the chute door open during flight (strangely, this problem does not affect the other models); - all engines now have fake afterburner nodes (if you don't like their appearance, you're welcome to substitute your own or turn them off); - all aircraft use standard SF2 shadow statements (the included .SHD files actually spawn those dreaded tractor beams, whereas a simple SF2 shadow configuration does not). It should also be noted that the skins included here are quite dated. If anyone is so inspired to create a new set of skins and decals (Paulopanz, I'm looking at you...), please contact me at CombatAce.com. I would be happy to incorporate a new set of skins and decals into an updated version of this package. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Credits & Acknowledgements ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This package largely consists of work done by others and released previously in other packages. All I did was assemble the package, update the bits to SF2 standards, and make minor adjustments and tweaks here and there (discussed above). Primary credit goes to the team responsible for the original MiG-25 Foxbat package for SF1: Dave (USAFTML) Wpnssgt Tomcat1974 Sundowner Ghostrider Deuces Moonjumper Also included in this package are skins or decals done by the following individuals: HrntFixr Sidewinder86 Gepard Wrench The cockpits used in this package were built by: Paladrian (MiG-21 cockpit) Boopidoo & Badger the Bad (Su-15 cockpit) Finally, I used a tweaked version of the fake afterburner node effect introduced by Spectre8750. If I have neglected to credit anyone, please let me know -- it will be fixed ASAP. A copy of the original ReadMe for the MiG-25 Foxbat Pack for SFP1 is included in the same directory as this ReadMe. Any errors in this package are mine alone, so please do report bugs and inaccuracies to the CombatAce.com forum. ----------- Eric Howes eburger68 27 March 2014 -

---------------------------------------- SF2 Su-17/20/22 Swing-Wing Fitters ---------------------------------------- This mod package contains a collection of Su-17, Su-20, and Su-22 Fitters, all converted and updated to SF2 standards. Included in the package are all the weapons, sounds, pilots, and seats that you will need to install and use any of the aircraft in this package. These aircraft can be used in SF2, SF2E, SF2V, or SF2I. To install and use them, you should ensure that your SF2 installation is patched to at least the Dec2009 patch level. See below for installation instructions. ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Installation ~~~~~~~~~~~~ To install, simply drag the \Objects and \Sounds folders to your SF2 Mods Folder (NOT the folder that the game installs to). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Aircraft & Nations Included ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The following aircraft are included in this package: Domestic Version Export Version ---------------- -------------- Su-17 Fitter-B n/a Su-17M Fitter-C Su-20A/B Fitter-C Su-17M2 Fitter-D Su-22 Fitter-F Su-17M3 Fitter-H Su-22M / Su-22M3 Fitter-J Su-17M4 Fitter-K Su-22M4 Fitter-K The following nations are represented: USSR Afghanistan Bulgaria Egypt Czechoslovakia Iraq East Germany Libya Hungary Syria Poland Peru Vietnam For more information on the differences between these various different versions, see the documentation included in \_OriginalReadMes. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A Few Notes About This Package ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Those familiar with Lindr2's Fitter packages for SFP1 will rightly recognize that this updated package builds on his earlier efforts. Although I have largely followed Lindr2's lead in assembling this package, there are some noteworthy differences between his SFP1 collections and this one: 1) Limited use of AmokFloo's Su-17M model Where Lindr2 used AmokFloo's Su-17M (from 2008) to represent the -17, -17M, -17M2, -20A, -20B, and -22F, I have opted to use ArmourDave's earlier Su-17 model (from 2003) for the -20A, -20B, and -22F. Although AmokFloo's model is arguably better-suited in many ways to stand in for those early export versions, ArmourDave's model has a wider range of skins available to represent the various user nations of those aircraft. Sadly, there appear to be only three skins available for AmokFloo's model. If someone wants to do more skins for AmokFloo's model, I would be happy to release an updated version of this pack to make use of them. 2) Adjusted weapon stations and loadouts Again, I have largely followed Lindr2' lead in this area, but I have adjusted the attachment positions of some weapon stations (esp. on ArmourDave's Su-17 model) and made some changes to the default loadouts for most aircraft. In particular, the loadouts for center fuselage stations needed changes, because with size of the PTB-800 or Tank600_Su-7 drop tanks, there simply isn't enough room to load both tanks and weapons on the front and back fuselage stations. The default loadouts load weapons (rockets, bombs) on all four stations or tanks alone on the rear stations, but never a mix of weapons and tanks on front and rear. Note that the Loadout screen *will* let you load the fuselage stations with weapons and tanks simultaneously -- just don't do that. (And, if you do, don't complain to me about the unsightly result.) 3) Wider range of skins/nations You will find a wider range of skins used to represent more nations. I am not an expert on the operational history of the swing-wing Fitters. Still less am I a skilled texture artist, so I make no claim that these skins are 100% historically accurate in their depiction of these aircraft as used by so many different nations. I did consult online references and looked at quite a few photos while putting together this package, and I do think it represents a general improvement over what was available before. If you've got better data and/or better skins, please do share -- I'd be happy to do an updated, more accurate version of the package. ArmourDave .....................................
