2 pointsGood one Ant!! OTH, there are a number of mods for the EE Canberras and B-57s that have correct serials. Since it's originally AI only, is probably why TK used the F-100 serials, and no buzz numbers. Conversely, that doesn't explain the "proper-ish" bort numbers for the MiGs and SUs that are also AI only.
-
2 pointsfinally fixed something that's be bugging the crap out of me for 20 years .... proper serial decals* for the stock NMF B-57B, and an NMF skinned tip tank. Also replaced the idiotic 2-piece "U.S.Air Force" decal with a single one. Be available soon!!! (less than 2 weeks!!) (*=I mean seriously, HOW hard is it to make 24 correct serial and buzz number decals????)

This goes on the presumption that the (A)B-26 Invader either was not available or present in enough numbers. The skin represents a reactivated 499th Bomb Squadron of the 345th Bomb Group. The aircraft is finished in overall night black (like the A-26 and later B-57s). This is the solid gun-nosed Mitchell, with the addition of a wing mounted AN/APS-4 radar unit (just like the USN's PBJs). 24 aircraft serials and Buzz Numbers are provided, as is the "Bat Out of Hell" nose markings. All markings are decals, and decal randomization is TRUE. Weapons (WW2 bombs & rockets), sounds, pilot figures are all provided. As is always reccommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!! Happy Landings! 1 pointI asked in an other forum and got the answer from there, that the photo was taken in Poland during a dogfight training between polish MiG-21 and F-16. It is more believable than the story of Lebanon War.

1 pointThe situation in the air itself gives me great doubts. The F-16 aircraft found itself ahead of the MiG-21, it is maneuvering with underwing tanks in a combat under heavy danger. With pylons for AMRAAM missiles.. Over Lebanon in 1982. Well, I do not know.
-
1 pointI want to remind that its film on 35mm filmtype, 23.75x24mm. We see not only the pylons, but even the littlewings on the tanks. In 1982. Through soviet optic.

1 pointI am no expert, but it looks to me more real like this: To my knowledge, the gun camera is more or less on the center line in the cockpit, while the Pitot tube is offset to the right on the nose, so probably the picture was inverted at some point (if it is real).
-
1 pointI believe that is a real image. But there is no way to know when and where that image came from. There were quite a few countries that transitioned from MiG-21s to F-16s and/or that conducted exercises with allies that had F-16s. If it was from actual combat and it led to a kill, why not show the gun cam image of the F-16 getting hit? If you google MiG-21 gun camera film, you can find other examples that are very similar to this one. That is why I accept it as likely being real.

1 pointMy Super Hornets have at the very minimum have the same number by the exhaust. I don't have the inclination to hunt down every serial number for a bird, especially when all you have are photos and the like. I'm sure that there is a site (and I think Wrench showed me it) for all that, but I really don't care to be honest. But I have had people complain about an emblem being wrong, or me realizing I messed up and had to fix it.

1 pointthe important stuff is always simple. the simple stuff is alway hard - some NCO from many moons ago not to mention very few people went to hit the books hard in the past when it came to serials, not to mention the books didnt have as much info tens years ago as they do now. some topics, theyre still kinda sketchy. but ya know i feel that pain

1 pointOk, if that comment was just a suggestion for the ones who are keep wondering about cockpit choices made, then I can see your point. Not hearing the tone/voice of someone who just writes a message can be , sometimes, deceiving and submitted to interpretations. Taking into account that, in your statement you were not referring to anyone specific, I just assumed you were talking to me (the initiator of the whole thread), that is why I chose to answer to you.

1 pointGentlemen.. please not argue on things its not worth of.. beside each of you are correct from your own standpoints, so its a draw... One thing about the F18pit was - by the way - it had dials for 2 engines so was easier to test things out. A dedicated pit was started for these birds - as can be read few post above about its "notion". Please sit back, enjoy gaming, it will come as soon can be done and as RL allows..
