    Just put FE2 Back on my Windows 10 PC and just had a blast still good after all these years it is modded, is any one still flying it?

    Indeed a shame - hardly any regular posts in the FE2 forums anymore. Hope everyone's doing well - haven't seen names like Geezer, Crawford, and others in these forums for years. Fully-modded FE2 is still my go-to sim for single missions with variety, and for tight-knuckle flying and dog-fighting - I'd say better than modded RoF, and also easier to set up and quicker to get into than the WoFF series (although the latter is definitely the gold standard for full-blown campaigning). Come to think of it, the WoFF forums on SimHQ have also largely dried up over the last couple of years. And DiD IV, the latest Dead is Dead campaign being run in WoFF (on their CombatAce forums) is pretty much literally DiD too (compared with DiDs II and III from several years back). Perhaps newer generations of simmers have mostly gravitated to multiplayer; or tablet/phone games have saturated the game market. I hope to return more regularly to FE2 in the future - there are a few aircraft that I haven't tweaked the FMs for, and I still want to try to introduce (if possible) realistic turbulence into the sim. Also, there's something wholesome and relaxing about tinkering with FE2 - the virtual equivalent of an old, wooden hangar or quaint WWI aircraft factory. Was busy for a while with AI mods for RoF (an exercise in frustration considering that RoF is so locked-down); and also re-discovered FlightGear in the meantime, a very nice, free sim for monoplane simulation and civilian flying - but be selective when choosing aircraft to fly in it. Some of the FMs are questionable, particularly for multi-wing aircraft. Recommended there is to stick to large airliners like the 707, 747, DC-10, also single-wing, small aircraft such as Pipers, Cessnas, Tecnams, gliders, and so on. (Thinking to myself: sure would be nice to introduce the live weather and advanced weather systems from FlightGear into FE2 - i.e., METAR system, also moisture formation, storms, and so on - although that would require some way of having an open connection to the internet, from within FE2, to siphon in live weather data per whatever location you're flying through in FE2 at any given moment, etc.) Cheers all,

    The polish border problem. The movement of the borders after 1945 would it make difficult to create a correct target setting. You would need two or three different terrains to cover all changes.

    I always have to have at least one install on my computer. I may not play it constantly, but I always come back to First Eagles. It's pretty sad to see just how much of a ghost town the FE forum has become.

    Well, if you are asking for opinions, my vote would be for a terrain based on the 1939 Polish-German borders and cities (since we already have terrains for the 1941-45 Russian Front, and for WW2 Finland and Murmansk). Not much room for a few Soviet airbases to the east of Poland in that Ostpreussen TFD, though.

    View File Sentry '04: USAF E-3B/C's of the 552nd ACW and PACAF SENTRY '04: USAF E-3B/C's of the 552nd ACW and PACAF Since 1976 the USAF has used the E-3 Sentry to control the air battlespace it finds itself in. Starting in 1995, the E-3 fleet began to recieve the Block 30/35 upgrade. These upgrades improved its communications, navigation, and electronic support equipment over the older versions. The most visible change was the ESM pods on the cheeks, and additional fairings on the chin and rear of the aircraft. These upgrades continued until the entire fleet was completed in fall of 2001. This mod represents the E-3B/C fleet at a time of major restructuring, with the 552nd Air Control Wing having reduced to 3 squadrons and the two PACAF squadrons (961st AACS at Kadena and 962nd AACS at Elmendorf) operating 3 of each. Included This mod includes skin for the E-3B aircraft with fake pilot upgrades, skins and decals for all 5 squadrons active in 2004 as well as a 552nd ACW overall skin Installation unzip mod, add contents of "2 Mod Folder" to mod folder of your choice. allow overwrites Known Issues - The Sentry aircraft pull hard to port (left) when taking off. This only occurs when the player is hand flying the aircraft, when AI or autopilot flies this is not an issue - The cockpit is not a great match for the aircraft, however SF2 does not support any of their (E-3 or CT-49) original missions as player flyable and they were originally intended to be eye candy. Until we get a 3d modeller that wants to do a new E-3 or even 707 proper pit, this is how it will be.     Su-25 Czechoslovakian Air Force end 1980th. The insignias on the right wing are in wrong direction. The basic rule for czech insignias is, the Blue is always to the front, the Red is always toward the fuselage.

    Me: F/A-18F with 4 x AIM-9X and 9X-2s (see description for more), 6 x AIM-120Ds, gun, fuel tank Enemy: Bandidos Su-27 with 4 x R-74s and I think 4 x PL-5E. This one after multiple times stumps me. The Su-27 is a maneuverable fighter, but not like this in my opinion. It turns too quick and is on me as soon as I get on him, and he's already trying to spike me with his R-74s. I don't think the FM is right for it based off of Marcfighters Su-27 and I'm sure that FM was good enough. That aside as it is the Su-27 is more UFO-ish and therefore is locking you up and firing before you can get a shot off and when you do, your AIM-9X-2s don't work. Now I don't know who made the X-2s but there has to be some sort of reason that it simply doesn't work. Poor INI dancing is the answer, and I thought at first the Bandidos Su-27 had stealth properties and that it wouldn't allow lock on of a 'winder. After selecting my 9Xs that I had, it worked fine so it wasn't an issue with the Su-27, it was just poor workmanship. Whoever the author is here it is, this should be the non-working version just in case you want to figure out how to get it to work. I think I do know how but I'm curious how this was released. Other than that the quick flight was won by the Su-27 and still need an FM check on it. AIM-9X-2.7z
