I was running the previous ODS mod, and I thought it was the pinnacle of what could be done with the series. I was wrong. Playing the newest version is like stepping into an entirely new SF, and it blows away the previous mod. And that is saying something. The level of detail and the immersive realism puts it in a class by itself. Just sitting on the carrier deck watching the undulating waves can be mesmerizing, let alone flying over them. The mod is, in a word...superb, and my hat is off to all the creators, contributors, and everyone that had a hand in this. As my daughter would say: "It's Bussin'". I haven't had this much fun with a flight sim in quite a while. If there was a 6th Star to be awarded, I would give it.

There was a problem with the water map.bmp file. The aircraft carrier fleet could not be displayed correctly, causing the game to have ctd problems. I replaced the fileWater Normalmap for SF2:NA - Environmental Mods - CombatACE and it ran normally.

July 20th my system warned that there is a virus in this download... (tried to DL it with Opera and Edge) UPDATE July 21: Windows Defender went berserk for no reason, problem solved. ;-)

Could be sold as a full priced game and no one would bat an eye. Can't say enough good things about the people that worked on this. Their attention to detail and quality of work. A must have for anyone who owns Strike Fighters 2.

I Installed it some days ago and play. MONUMENTAL WORK. Best mod. The only modification that I did not edit after installation, but just play right away and have fun.

Hi everyone; Well I've tried everything I could think off to get this version to run on my Windows 10 system with no success. Suggestions for CTD issues, followed to the letter! It's not a Win 10 issue because I'm running all the old ThirdWire flight games on this i5 system. Game will work through all the setup screens, but crashes after loading screen to cockpit to fly! Any one out there that has any ideas on solving this problem I'd be glad to hear from you. From what I can see so far this version of Desert Storm is amazing!!! A amazing piece of pure art, only possible due to the love of the modders in develop something fun, historical correct and at high level. I just want to say thank you guys, its a pleasure to fly, to see, to listen...again, thank you. (Sometimes I got crashes/ctd´s at loading, even with my hardwire being powerfull and quite above the minimum specs,I dont blame the team, I totally understand the engine issues, age and etc.)
