The Yak-130 combat trainer was selected as the winner of the trainer competition of the Voyenno Vozdushnyye Sily, Russian Federation Air Force, in April 2002. The aircraft is also actively marketed for export by Yakovlev, the Irkut company, and by Rosoboronexport.
The Russian Air Force has a future requirement for 300 Yak-130 aircraft that can be deployed as a light strike aircraft or as a trainer for a range of fourth or fifth-generation fighters. An order was placed for the first 12 aircraft to replace ageing Aero Vodochody L-39 Albatros in 2002.
The aircraft entered service in the Russian Federation Air Force at the military pilot training academy in Krasnodar in July 2009 and was showcased in the MAKS 2009 air show. The production line for the aircraft at the Aviation Plant Sokol in Nizhny Novgorod, known as NAZ Sokol, is fully operational and the roll out of the first production series aircraft took place in May 2003. A series of flight tests of the serial production aircraft was started in April 2004.
The Russian Air Force ordered official testing in May 2005. The full trials of the advanced combat trainer, including spin and combat tactics trials, were completed in December 2009 prior to delivery of the first two production aircraft to the Russian Air Force.
The first Yak-130 ordered by the Russian Air Force completed its flight acceptance test at Sokol in August 2009. The Russian Air Force received the first four of 12 Yak-130s between February 2010 and April 2010. Another five aircraft were delivered in April 2011.
In December 2011, the Russian Ministry of Defence placed an order with Irkut for the delivery of 55 Yak-130 combat trainers by 2015. The first batch of six aircraft was delivered to the Russian Air Force in October 2012. The second batch of three Yak-130s was delivered in November 2012. The aircraft deliveries were completed in early 2015.
The Russian Air Force commenced pilot training operations of the new Yak-130 combat aircraft in April 2013, however a Yak-130 plane crashed near Akhtubinsk in the Astrakhan region in April 2014.
The aircraft performed a flight with advanced digital avionics suite developed by KRET in June 2014.

              ***********************************************
Finally the bird is here! I confess that I did all that I could and depended on me for that aircraft to be a winner. I couldn't have done that without the help of my chosen team and some other good guys from CombatAce who helped also to the big push.
I also included a custom setting version of the plane as I let you all know from the aircraft thread.Essentially the same plane with some custom decals, custom adjusted paintjobs,  DDS/DXT3 aircraft holes textures, aircraft texture tweak (engine exhauster fake mesh) and an Insky Team cockpit (edited to have characters in Russian rather than Chinese).I also included a set of some stock white Arab serial numbers for the Syrian paintjob.

      Aircraft general features:
      - canopy animation    (SHIFT+0)
      - aircraft workable slimmers (CTR+L)
      - two different fueltanks models (see aircraft texture folders) depending on the chosen aircraft skin.
      - custom fueltank to match the default aircraft texture colors/paintjob.
      - YAK-130 gundpod model special crafted for this edition
      - bump maps (normal maps)
      - Custom modified entries on aircraft wing to match ECM symetrical pods models (TALISMAN).
      - some modified textures for the cockpit to match Russians language.
      - regular aircraft night lights.
      - a suitable weapons collection hand picked by me for this very plane.
      - constructor logo special decals
      - special Russian Airforce decals
      - original paintjobs, including the factory prototype one.
      - superb/realistic pilot models
      - engine smoke/vapors realistic effect

    3. The North American B-45 Tornado was an early American jet-powered bomber
designed and manufactured by aircraft company North American Aviation.
It has the distinction of being the first operational jet bomber to enter
service with the United States Air Force (USAF)
      - B-45A (96 aricraft)
Fifty-five nuclear-capable B-45s arrived in the United Kingdom in 1952.
These were modified with a 1,200 gal (4,542 l) fuel tank in the aft bomb bay.
Despite technical problems, these were Tactical Air Command's first-line
      deterrent in Europe. (84Th; 85th; 86th Bs - 47th BG)
      - B-45C (10 aircraft)
The B-45C was the first multiengine jet bomber in the world to be refueled in midair.
It carried two 1,200 gal (4,542 l) wingtip fuel tanks, had a strengthened canopy, and
an inflight refueling receptacle. The first B-45C was flown on May 3, 1949.
Only ten were built, and the remaining 33 under construction were converted to RB-45Cs.

    4. SF2 Westland Whirlwind HAR Upgrade Pack                    4/19/2021
      -For SF2 =ONLY= (Full 4/5 Merged Reccomended)
**NOTE: this is for the British built versions -0NLY-!!**
This is major upgrade of the Westland Whirlwind (piston powered) as released by Strahi. Please be advised, if you have the original download, you will unfortunately have to delete it from your mods folder(s). THIS version is highly modified, with many additional items. If left as "drag & drop" over the original, there will be conflicts that might be unresolvable. Thus, the need for complete removal of the original. This has been approved by Strahi, to whom I extend great thanks!!
The following services/units are covered. The first listing is the name of the skin folder itself. The rest is the description you will see on the skin selection dropdown on the Loadout Screen:
      Royal Air Force:
      RAF1 - No.22 Sqdn, 55-62, overall yellow
      RAF2 - No.28 Sqdn, ?? date, Eurocamo*
      RAF3 - No.110 Sqdn, 1954, Kuala Lampur*
JHU - Joint Helicopter Unit, HMS Ocean, Suez, 1956
      Royal Navy:
RN - 848 NAS, DGNB overall, early 50s
      RN2 - Ship's Flight, HMS Protector, 55-65, Antarctic Patrol
      RN3 - 848 NAS, HMS Bulwark, 1960s
RN4 - 781 NAS, RNAS Yeovilton (Green Parrot)
Suez - 848 NAS, HMS Albion, Suez 56
      JRV:
YU - Soko Whirlwind, Yugoslavian Air Force, 1961

*= be advised, these units MAY have had the later, turbine power marks. It's also possible some of those listed above, while still having serving piston-powered Whirlwinds, would have also recieved turbine power aircraft.
The SF2 'date switch' is =NOT= used on any of the skins. I felt it would cause too many issues and confusions.
Many painted on insignia and service markings remain as such. This is due to the minimal amount of meshes used to build the aircraft. All new serial number decals have been made for all included versions (up to 26 each). As is to be expected, while all are correct for the aircraft & services depicted, they are 'generic' in nature. When a unit's or service's serials HAVE been found, you'll see the star (*) in the number list dropdown. Decal randomization is TRUE. When possible, the RAF & RN squadron badges are used at the "patch" for viewing on the Loadout Screen
On the aircraft selection drop down list, you'll see:
      Whirlwind HAR/HC (st)
The (st) is for Strahi, and will diferentiate this Whirlwind for any others that may or may not exist.
As is always recommended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!!
      Happy Landings!

**NOTE: this is for the American/non-British versions -0NLY-!! Upgrades for the Whirlwind will follow**
This is major upgrade of the UH-19/HO4S/HRS as released by Strahi. Please be advised, if you have the original download, you will unfortunately have to delete it from your mods folder(s). For those interested, the following services/units are covered:
      US Air Force:

      US Navy:

      US Marines:
      HMR-161 "Greyhawks" (c.1952, Korea)
      US Army:
      6th Transportation Co. (H), (Korea)
      Generic Olive Drab overall
      Royal Canadian Navy:
      VH-21 (c.mid 1950s)
Many painted on insignia and service markings remain as such. This is due to the minimal amount of meshes used to build the aircraft. All new serial number decals have been made for all included versions (up to 26 each). As is to be expected, while all are correct for the aircraft & services depicted, they are 'generic' in nature. When a unit's or service's serials HAVE been found, you'll see the star (*) in the number list dropdown. Decal randomization is TRUE.
You will also be adding a new nation, "US ARMY", unless you have the Expanded Nations Mod by Menrva. Full instructions will be found in the INstall section below. If you do not wish to, you'll have to edit the texture set inis for the 2 Army skins back to "USAF". Game-wise, it won't matter either way.
On the aircraft selection drop down list, you'll see:
      H-19 Chickasaw (st)
The (st) is for Strahi, and will diferentiate this H-19 for any others that may or may not exist. In reality, it should read "H-19/HRS/HO4S", but what the hey! We all know what it is!
As is always reccomended, unzip to a temp folder or your desktop to give easy access to the rest of this readme for it's install instructions. PLEASE read them, before installing!!!
You can expect the same treatment is being given to his Whirlwind pack, as well. It will be relased when finished.

    6. AMD/BAC Taranis FGA.1 for STRIKE FIGHTERS 2
This is a simple mod of the stock Third Wire Kfir C1 to give a fictional AMD/BAC Taranis FGA.1 fighter-bomber with markings for No.1, No.6 and No.54 squadrons of the Royal Air Force in the late
      1960's and 1970's.
      BACKSTORY
The RAF's search for a Hunter replacement took many twists and turns but by 1962 the focus had come back to a more basic and austere fighter-bomber but still with supersonic performance.
Dassault had previously proposed the promising Avon-Mirage (first flown in February 1961) to the RAF and had also unsuccessfully offered it to both Australia and Switzerland but by 1963 Rolls-Royce and SNECMA were offering their outstanding Sequanna turbofan to Dassault with the potential for 12,000lbs of dry thrust and 18,000lbs with reheat.
However it was not until the cancellation of the TSR.2 in April 1965 that BAC and Dassault could formally combine to offer a version of the Mirage IV delta-winged bomber to the RAF and also the
proposed Mirage 'Angleterre' fighter-bomber, both powered by the Sequanna and both immediately accepted by the UK Labour government with a formal order issued in 1965. BAC's involvement was
clearly politcal (and initially confined to the production of the UK versions of both aircraft) the BAC Warton team threw themselves into both projects being just grateful to actually have something
on the assembly line after the Lightning.
Whilst based on the proposed Mirage V (to meet an Israeli requirement for a simplied Mirage III) the Sequanna powered version of the Mirage required slightly larger intakes and also an additional air
inlet installed at the base of the vertical stabilizer for additional cooling air needed for the SNECMA designed afterburner. In June 1965 the 'Taranis' name was bestowed upon the aircraft and development moved swiftly during 1965 and 1966 culminating with René Bigand flying the first prototype from Istres in early December 1966 whilst the second prototype flew from Warton in the following March flown by Roland Beamont.
The Taranis entered service with EC 1/2 'Cigognes' Armée de l'Air in August 1968 and with No.1 Squadron of the Royal Air Force in January 1969.

      INSTRUCTIONS
      1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the TARANIS_FGA1 folder into your Aircraft folder.
      2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the TARANIS_FGA1 folder into your Decals folder.
      That's it!

    7. This model is created from the old freeware AlphaSim B-57B which is a LOT more work than most folks realise.
Pit is by myself but not 100% correct.
Lots of ini work by Wrench......without Kev's help this model would not of made it to this downloads section.
      Read the readme and enjoy.

    8. MiG-21SMT
      ***************
This mod is made for SF2.
      ----------------------------------------------------------
      I. History
One of the major problems of the MiG-21 was the short range of the plane. The reason for it was the small internal fuel volume. To solve the problem additional tanks on the back were installed. First one in the MiG-21PF, later three beginning with MiG-21R. When the soviet Air Force demanded to make the MiG-21 to a nuclear weapon platform soon the short range seemt to be the major problem. So the designers took the latest version of the bird, the MiG-21SM and increased the fuel capacity of the back tanks dramatically. The MiG-21SMT was born.
In the troops the plane was not liked very well. The pilots hated it to fly such an non agile plane. The plane got the nickname "Humpback" and this was not meant positive.
Later a lot of SMT were reworked "in field", the big backtank was removed and replaced by the backtank of the MiG-21bis Lasur. Such reworked planes were called MiG-21ST.
