View File SA-7 Grail / 9K32 Strela-2 MANPADS Pack SF2 SA-7 Grail / 9K32 Strela-2 MANPADS Pack 1.5 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This pack features the famous SA-7 "Grail". It is a man-portable, shoulder-fired, low-altitude, infrared guided surface-to-air missile system (MANPADS). It is widely exported and has been in use in nearly every regional conflict since 1969. Despite its operational limitations, it has been proved quite effective in the hands of tactical armies and rebel groups. During War of Attrition on 19 August 1969 Egyptian soldiers brought down an Israeli A-4H Skyhawk some miles west of the Suez Canal using Strela-2. According to some sources this might have been the first successful combat use of any MANPADS in history! Following variants are included: 9K32 Strela-2 (SA-7A, 1968) - First variant. 9K32M Strela-2M (SA-7B, 1970) - Improved variant. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ New features: - Updated missiles data which offer more realistic performance - Fuze distances have been increased since the SA-7 had lethality limitations after hitting a target. Now a target can be hit but it may return back home safely - New launch effect and sound ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Known issues: - Due to game engine limitations concering missile guidance, 9M32 (SA-7A) missile's target aspect has been set as Rear 180 despite the fact that in reality it could be fired only at the rear. After massive failed launches it became clear that it was extremely difficult to achieve a single hit by setting 9M32 as Rear 60 even when some other values such as FOV and track rate had been increased. - Helicopters have higher survival rate per hit because in some cases missiles hit the tail rotor without causing significant damage. I guess this is another game engine characteristic. - Low altitude (lower than 600-800m) performance is downgraded for current missile values. By increasing noise rejection the missile becomes capable of hitting targets in lower altitude but at the same time the single shot hit/kill probability is being increased to an unrealistic level. - Fuze distances are longer compared with the actual lethal and damage radius of the system. In SF2 world the real high explosive warhead quantity is big enough to destroy a fighter size target even in 10 meters! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As always open readme.txt first to see installation instructions and credits. Lot of research and hard work was made to make this SAM as realistic as possible. More than 2000 launches took place! A bit of NFWS action over the fantastic SWUS terrain... I need to create [DACM] loadouts with ACMI pods and practice AIM-9s for my birds so I can set up some guns only fights...

Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-23MLX 'Flogger-K' - HävLLv31, Ilmavoimat, 1989 Whilst generally considered to be the ultimate fighter variant of the MiG-23 the MiG-23MLD "Flogger-K" was mainly a conversion programme of existing Soviet 'ML' and 'MLA' aircraft to 'MLD' standard for the VVS. However, an export version using new-build aircraft was produced with 16 aircraft for Bulgaria, 50 aircraft for Syria and finally an order for 60 'MLX' aircraft for the Finnish Air Force. Featuring the improved Sapfir-23MLA-II look-down/shoot-down radar and powered by an uprated Tumansky R-35 turbojet rated at 30,000lbs of thrust these were the final single-seat MiG-23's to produced with the last examples rolling off the production line in May 1985 and entering Ilmavoimat service with Fighter Squadron 31 in 1986. I think this new skin by bazillius really suits Finnish markings.

Hi!!!! Once you have downloaded and extracted the files to a safe location (e.g. desktop) just drop each of the files contained in the folders, to the correct directory (aircraft to arcrafts, weapon to weapos, effects to effetcs, sounds to sounds, and so on) You could find these TUTORIALS helpful. Have a nice day!!!!

View File SF2 A-4 Skyhawk "Southland Scooters" Skin/Decals Pack SF2 A-4 Skyhawk "Southland Scooters" Skin/Decals Pack 3/2/2018 = For SF2 (Any & All, Full-5 Merged Prefered) = *Can be used in any install that has access to the A-4C_65 & A-4F* 2 new skins for a couple of the stock 3W Skyhawks. These represent "local" A-4 units from Southern California; my home turf! :) They are either Reserve Squadron (VA-305) or a Service, Support, Training Unit (VC-7). Also included for the A-4F, are a modified Data and loadout inis, correcting/adding to the Mission tasking loadouts. Several new parts are included that correct and add the missing outer Sidewinder rails. Both aircraft get the Player operated manual canopy, and landing light. The skins included are for: A-4C_65: VA-305 "Lobos" based at NAS (now JFB) Los Alamitos *-see notes-* A-4F: VC-7 "Tallyhoers" (or Redtails) based at NAS Miramar Skins are brand new, from Nyghtfall's templates, and are in jpg format. Most markings are decals, excepting certain squadron tags on the tail fin & rudder (VC-7 and/or fuselage bands (VA-305). These had to be painted on due to number-of-decals-per-mesh restrictions. All BuNums are historiclly correct for aircraft used by both squardrons; unfortunately, they could not all be matched to their corresponding Modex. On the Loadout screen's individual aircraft dropdown listing, those marked with a star (*) are matched. Also added, via Magical Ini Dancing (tm) are missile rails for the OUTBOARD pylons on the A-4F, as is correct for all 5-hardpointed Skyhawks. These are added via the loadout ini through various jiggery-pokery and at great expense. They are only used in the "Air-to-Air" tasking (and Recon), and will/do not effect any Strike, CAS, Auntie-Ship or other attack missions. These modification can also be added, using the same data ini edits, to all the A-4E and later models. With some luck, they will =NOT= interfere with any of the Skyhawks released by Nyghtfall. If in doubt, back up your original data and loadout inis before installing. The canopy uses the Standard Animation Keystroke (tm), Shift/0. When on the Loadout screen, for skin/squadron selection, on the Dropdown menu you'll see A-4C_65: VA-305 Lobos (NAS Los Alamitos 70/71) A-4F: VC-7 Redtails (NAS Miramar 1973-80) As always, fairly easy to follow, detailed install instructions are included. So, please read them .... Also, DO give the Notes section a read as well, for enlightenments, illuminations, and general ramblings. With MANY thanks to Nyghtfall for his invaluable assistance!!! :) Happy Landings! Wrench Kevin Stein Submitter Wrench Submitted 03/11/2018 Category A-4

Things were different back then, and in theory it was made to keep the pilot out of bomber gunner range. Strahi, thanks a lot mate! Works now!

More "Heavy Metal" although it's 1 ton lighter than a P-47D-40, with both at typical clean combat weight.
