1 pointI have uploaded a new plane - the Siemens-Schuckert D.I. It was a copy of the Nieuport 17, with a different engine and a few other minor differences. Production was delayed so it wasn't used very much on the Western Front. It saw more service on the Eastern Front. My upload includes a 3 color camo skin, a full set of number decals, and a fully functional cockpit. My skinning templates are included. Ojcar has made a new FM for this plane, it flies a little heavier than the Nieuport, but has a slightly more powerful engine. I have also included a sound file recorded by Nixou.

1 pointThis morning, checked out the FM adjustments to the Nieuport range of aircraft WIPs. VonS, and especially Crawford, have slowly ground their way through the hodge-podge of old files to develop new ones to match the new 3D models. The aircraft now destruct fairly realistically, given the limited effort I make when developing new 3D models. They do outstanding work. Also tweaked the artwork for the Vickers guns - they were a bit too darkish. As shown in the Sopwith Triplane shot, most machine guns are various shades of dark gray, not black. Shots of Br14 show the revisions to the Vickers artwork. For you camo buffs, the Br14 is finished in the Michelin factory pattern - there were several others as each contractor had their own interpretation of French government guidelines.

1 pointI came across this video on YouTube and given the prevalence of people who are both Star Wars fans and flight sim geeks on CA, cough!Wrench!cough, I thought I would share it.

1 pointIt's amazing what a little TLC can do. Don't remember where I got this but it needed a new paint job. 4 hours worth of work and PRESTO!!! Something worth flying.

This pack consists of three planes. The stock F-4J, F-100D and Ravenclaws F-4E (HAF) have been modded to create planes for the Dhimari Air Force: 1. EF-4Dh Desert Phantom II, 4th Squadron "The Falcons" 2. F-100Dh Desert Sabre, 11th Squadron "The Rams" 3. JF-4Dh Desert Phantom, 2nd Squadron "The Hawks" INSTRUCTIONS 1. Drop the Folders into your Strike Fighters Mod Folder. 2. If asked to overwrite, click yes. ADDENDUM: The planes fly for the USAF, since I don't own Strike Fighters 2 If you have SF2, then simply change the NationName in the corresponding data.inis and userlist.inis I added a color sheet into this package so everybody can feel free to create his own dhimari desert aggressor skin. ALTERNATE NOSE CAMO FOR THE EF-4Dh Furthermore, there is a folder called "Alternate camo versions EF-4Dh" which includes two folders: Black Nose and Camo Nose. Those folders contain a JPG and a decals.ini each. The EF-4Dh comes standard with the black nose. If you want to fly with a camoed nose, simply copy the contents of the folder "Camo nose" to the skin folder and overwrite. If you want to return to the standard black nose, simply copy the contents of the black nose folder and paste them into the skin folder. This applies to the EF-4Dh only! CREDITS There are several people I have to thank: Big Thanks to Thirdwire for the games and the superb models they have. Ravenclaw_007 for his great F-4 (HAF) I used as a base for the EF-4Dh and the great templates for the Phantom. Spinners for the dhimari decals and the sharkmouth decal from the F-100 I've been using to create this mod. Sundowners Sharkmouth included in his F-105 Template I used for the EF-4Dh and JF-4Dh. If I missed someone, please let me know and I correct it ASAP. Kindest regards ValAstur -

Grumman F-14A Tomcat - Ejercito del Aire This is a 'what if' F-14A Tomcat in service with the Ejercito del Aire with markings for 121, 122 and 123 Escuadrons of 12 Ala (12th Wing). The EDA 'Iberian Camo' is actually the stock Iranian Air Force skin by Column5 and Sundowner and it really does suit the Ejercito del Aire markings - especially if you use gepard's superb Israel 2 terrain (recommended). BACKSTORY By the late 1970's the Phantom F-4C's of 12 Ala (12th Wing) were becoming increasingly long in the tooth and the Ejercito del Aire urgently sought a replacement. McDonnell Douglas appeared to have the upper hand with no less than three products on offer; The F-4E Phantom (still in low-rate production). The F-15C Eagle. The F/A-18A Hornet. However, during 1978 the situation in Iran was becoming increasingly unstable and by January 1979 the Shah of Iran had fled in exile. An immediate arms embargo to Iran soon followed and Grumman were left with a considerable number of undelivered and now undeliverable Iranian F-14A Tomcats. A formal approach to Spain was made by Grumman and agreement was soon reached for the supply of 30 F-14A's to replace the Phantom F-4C's of No.121 and No.122 Escuadrons with a small follow-on batch of 10 F-14R's to supplement and eventually replace the RF-4C's of No.123 Escuadron. The F-14A Tomcat gave good service to the Ejercito del Aire before being phased out during 2009 and replaced by Boeing Hornet F/A-18F's. INSTRUCTIONS 1. From the AIRCRAFT folder drag and drop the F-14A_EDA folder into your Aircraft folder. 2. From the DECALS folder drag and drop the F-14A_EDA into your Decals folder. I've simplified this download by reverting to stock items so now go and fly the Tomcat in Ejercito del Aire markings! CREDITS Thanks to TK for a great little game/sim. Special thanks to The Mirage Factory for creating the lovely F-14A Tomcat. The original Read Me is in this packand there's some legendary names in there - thanks to one and all! And thanks to everyone in the wider Third Wire community. Regards Spinners Version 2 - 06/03/18 Version 1 - 05/08/08
