Not another Sea Harrier FA2 I hear you say.........well...yes. Original Mirage Factory max file extensively rebuilt by me, too many modifications to mention, same goes for the pit. Backup any other versions you may have as unlike a lot of mods posted on here nowadays I'm not telling you to dump other folks hard work because mine is better.....you decide for yourselves (rant mode off). You WILL need Thrust Vectoring set up in your controls to fly this thing. Please read the ReadME......without it this thing would not of got released.. Mirage Factory product. Have fun. -
6 pointsWest of the Suez Canal on July 1970 EW Radars detected low altitude intruders. Fire control radar started tracking... In range... PUCK! V-601P 5V27 follows the engagement path... Missile gets closer and closer... Missile on channel 1 exploded and the aircraft was just hit. After that the intruder turned back and left the area.

1 pointoh thank you thank you THANK YOU !!!!........remove the offending gunner , it was making my eyeballs bleed . so more revisions on the way, to make the aircraft even more horrible to fly ? brilliant, love it !! makes you appreciate what the real pilots had to handle, and with cruddy weather chucked in.....oh my life !! Yeah no wonder life expectancy was so low..........

1 pointPossibly an error with the cockpit folder? I doubt it is FM related although I have removed a redundant CL0MachTableData entry for the left stab on the HF.20 and unarmed variant. Will post the files with a v. 9.7 fm pack or maybe separately for now. Have also tweaked further the fms for the Longhorn and Shorthorn, slightly better climb now and greater difficulty diving at speeds above about 180kph, as historical. Will follow up with more info., still testing and removing the old blocky gunner as per Trotsky's comments in the other thread. Von S

1 pointOver the years, the modders at Combat Ace have made a pretty comprehensive addition to FE that rivals the stock game. If you are building your Eastern Front: I recommend ojcar's campaigns - Armchair Aces over Galicia. The list of planes is long but it matches what Crawford posted pretty closely - using whatever planes we have available for FE. https://combatace.com/files/file/15533-armchair-aces-over-galicia/ I also recommend Capitaine Vengeur's medals and pilots from his Beyond the Western Front series https://combatace.com/files/file/15954-ww1-medals-pack-for-fe-beyond-the-western-front/ https://combatace.com/files/file/14447-ww1-pilots-pack-beyond-the-western-front/ Both of them did a lot of research to make everything as accurate as possible.

1 point'In the summer of 1945, approximately 30 P-80As were sent aboard an aircraft carrier to the Philippines in preparation for the final assault on Japan. The planes were to be issued to the 414th Fighter Group, based at Florida Blanca. Unfortunately, the planes had been sent without their tip tanks and their aircraft batteries, so they sat aboard the aircraft carrier for 30 days waiting for this equipment. By the time that the batteries and wingtip tanks were delivered, the war in the Pacific had ended, so the P-80 never got a chance to enter combat in the war against Japan." http://www.joebaugher.com/usaf_fighters/p80_12.html 413th Fighter Squadron, 414 Fighter Group, Okinawa 1945/46 437th Fighter Squadron,414 Fighter Group, Okinawa 1945/46 456th Fighter Squadron,414 Fighter Group, Okinawa 1945/46 * First two are in the pearl grey paint applied to the first P-80A aircraft and wasn't used for very long as it didn't last in the field. 1 pointAre you trying to add a acutal static aircraft, or use one of the stock 3w lods? Using the stock aircraft don't work, even with all their extracted lods (also illeagle) placed in the terrain's folder. If using one of the (very) few available freeware statics (for example, a P-51) the statements would look like this: This is take right from one of my WW2 terrains, so we know it works Mind you, this is a very old LOD (2005-ish) and does have it's own destroyed model. The hard part, expecially for these ancient units, is running down all the missing pieces (usually the prop and canopy tgas). One needs to search the lod with a hex editor to find them. as to the armor values and types, I can't remember

Kuril Islands 1.0 ***************************************************** This terrain is written for SF2. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I. Short description: This terrain covers the Kurils islands, a small group of islands which were conquered by the soviets in September 1945 from Japan. There is also a small part of the japanese island of Hokkaido. This terrain is made for carrier ops in primary. You may fly ground based planes too. There are two small japanese airfields and 3 soviet airfields. The soviets deployed an aray of SAM sites over the islands of Kunashir and Iturup. To run this terrain you need SF2NA and one of these: SF2I or SF2E. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ II. INSTALLATION: Unzip all files into your saved game folder ...ThirdWire\StrikeFighters2NorthAtlantic /terrain folder. Because IcelandNA terrain does not include all neccessary objects to run this terrain properly you need to link it to an other terrains CAT file. From stock the terrain is prepared to link with SF2 Israel If you dont have SF2I you must open the file kurilen.ini with Windows notepad editor. Look for the lines: CatFile=..\IsraelME\IsraelME.cat //CatFile=..\GermanyCE\GermanyCE.cat //CatFile=..\VIETNAMSEA\VietnamSEA.cat //CatFile=..\Desert\Desert.cat Add // in front of CatFile=..\IsraelME\IsraelME.cat to switch ot off. Then remove // at one of the other lines. Which you should remove depends on which SF2 game you still have installed side by side with SF2 North Atlantic. Save it. Thats it. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ III. Credits. The TOD's, what means the trees and autogenerated houses on the map, are mostly taken from various tilesets made by Stary. The SAM protection walls are taken from Pureblues AirfieldDevKit. They were originaly made by Sundowner. The basic files for the taxiways, parking areas and quais are made by ErikGen. I hope i have not forgotten someone. . ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ IV. This Terrain is Freeware. Commercial use is not allowed. +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ V. For remarks, comments, bugs, etc please use CombatAce forum or send me a PM. Hope you enjoy it. This cockpit will replace Fokker D7 cockpit used until now to make the stock DFW C.V into a flyable plane. I can't find out who first converted the stock DFW into a flyable plane by using the cockpit from the Fokker D7. It seems to have been done several times over the years. I found a mod to convert the DFW C.V into a C.I uploaded by Christian59 in 2007 which used the Fokker cockpit, and it seems to have already been done before. The most recent version I could find was by JacksonM in 2017 and was included with his Hangar Screen pack. I have used parts of the cockpits I made for other German planes to make a completely new cockpit for the DFW C.V which fits the fuselage better and has the correct placement for the gun. The new cockpit features fully functional gauges, throttle, rudder control, and stick. This cockpit should work with the DFW in both FE1 and FE2. NOTE - There is a typo in the stock FM for DFW C.V which causes the Fuselage to disappear in the cockpit view. I have included instructions to correct the typo. If you are using one of the modded FMs, you may need to correct the typo there too, check to be sure. Instructions to fix the Data.ini are included in the download in a separate text file. Installation Instructions for both FE1 and FE2 If you have already have a flyable DFW C.V using the FokkerD7 cockpit, delete the "cockpit" folder if it exists, and delete the DFWC5_cockpit.ini file. Then open my "DFWC5" folder and place all the files - 1 folder and 1 ini file - into your DFWC5 folder. You will also need to change one word in the DFWC5_data.ini. See the file named "ChangeForDFWC5DataIni" If you still have the stock version, Open my "DFWC5" folder and place all the files - 1 folder and 1 ini file - into your DFWC5 folder. You will also have to add the following line to the plane's ini file. CockpitDataFile=DFWC5_cockpit.ini You will also need to change one word in the DFWC5_data.ini. See the file named "ChangeForDFWC5DataIni" NOTE - If the DFWC5_data.ini is not in the folder, you may need to extract it from the ObjectData.cat file using one of the utilities found here at CombatAce. -
