7 pointsthis week I share the fw 190 A 4 2.0 with some improvements requested, unfortunately the cockpit is not my strong so some indicators do not work properly. this new model will have the effect of fire leaks, the segmented fuselage and some subtle improvements in the 3d model

5 pointsI've been updating Heberth's Raptor mod with new skins, loadouts, sounds, etc. The model had been released in alpha stage here: https://combatace.com/forums/topic/66398-wip-mega-thread/?page=3&tab=comments#comment-645422 The aircraft's 3d model is very fine. I also added all released updates shared at the WIP thread, including russouk2004's new normal maps. However, the 3d model misses external pylons! Heberth said he would have released the .max files, but only Modders have access to the Modders Round Table. I would need the help of a 3d modeler to create those, either completing Heberth's shared .max files, or by creating the pylons separately, to be added via Fake Pilot method or as weapons. An FM guru would also be needed; it seems thrust vectoring is modelled, but the animations won't work on the engine nozzles. Here below some screenshots of the work I've done; I added reworked decals from viper63a's Raptor pack (the one using the old, lower poly model by Dels), and I created a fictional YF-22 paint scheme for it.

1 pointThe inis with the fixes. Made some RuAF stars and markings last night. I'll keep picking away at it. Back your own files up before you use these cause if you break it, there isn't any warranty. MiG-31BM_AVIONICS.INI MiG-31BM_DATA.INI

1 pointI've combed over about a dozen or so FMs for prop aircraft for the early Cold War period (1946 to about early 1960s) - those can be found at the link below: https://combatace.com/files/file/16990-sf2-cold-war-prop-and-flogger-fm-tweaks/ Simply disregard the MiG-23 files there if you don't like jets (the relevant folder in the package is the prop aircraft one - aircraft that correspond with those tweaks are all linked to in the Read Me file included with the package by the way). I'm currently working on 10 to 20 FM tweaks for a pre-WW2 and early WW2 SF2 install (approximately 1937 to 1941), and hope to upload that package in a couple of weeks...I still have several FMs to get through...but included below are a couple of links with representative pics from my PTO and MTO SF2 installs...I'm focusing on obscure and early variants, such as the early "Army Zeke," Polikarpov type 10 (Chinese flown), the Dewoitine 510, also early marks of the Hurricane and Me109...still need to look through the P-39 and P-40 types, also included in the pack will be a tweaked FM for the Dutch-flown Curtiss P-36 (should work well for the China and Taiwan maps). I'll look over two or three multi-engined types for the early WW2 install too...an early German multi-engine type, one for the Japanese, and perhaps the B-17 variant of the Fortress for the US...and maybe an airliner or transport plane of some kind too for the late 1930s.... If I find time in the future, I might do a small FM upgrade pack for a mid-war scenario (1942 to 1943), and then something for the late war (1944 and 1945)...consisting of maybe a dozen FM tweaks or so per package...but I'll leave that stuff for much later. Once I finish with this early war package I'll come back to the WWI stuff...have to look at the Sopwith Snipe, etc. Representative pics of my early WW2 experiments: MTO install https://combatace.com/forums/topic/77564-ww2-screenshots-thread/?page=40&tab=comments#comment-754169 PTO install https://combatace.com/forums/topic/77564-ww2-screenshots-thread/?page=41&tab=comments#comment-754282 Happy flying, Von S

1 pointThanks for that Vons so good to hear that you have the same problem not good for you I know mate, I will try the compatibility mode set it for Windows 7. Still find after all this time FE2 and your great plane mod has me hooked you have transformed this sim for me. My SF2 WW2 Europe and PTO are good but not as good as FE2 have you worked any of your magic on SF2 WW2 (not interested in modern jets). Thanks.

1 pointThanks. Good to be home again. - I'll have a look at that but I figured that the inis would have already been sorted out. I'm using it in an interceptor role mostly. I have it loading 4 x R-77 and 4 x R-33 missiles. That's what came with it. - My HUD / ini was messed up. Professional help from Germany fixed it in 30 secs. HUD material was missing in the ini. -The leading edge issue is related to the model. The animation for the nozzles is 8. The animation set in the model for slot 8 is the leading edge flaps. As per the data.ini, the only way I know how to fix it is by removing that animation callout and nothing should move that way. Need a modeller with access to the model to fix it. - Lights are moved. I could only find ref to wingtips, landing / taxi and one tail light in images and the ref that I'm using. (FRA Mikoyan MiG-31 by Yefim Gordon) - So through the LOD Viewer (such a wonderful tool) the MiG31BM skin, can't be repainted? The other skin that is with the MiG31M is in the folder but not being used.

1 pointBack from deployment and got into this aircraft. Has this data.ini been updated anymore by anyone other than the above data.ini? I added the BM package and then added this data pack. -No changes to the FM. No knowledge in that field. -Modified the Min Max points to modify the hit boxes. When I opened it in Lod Viewer, the HBs appeared to be from maybe an F-5? New boxes as per attachment. -The ailerons move the same, fixed the right one. So now they move as they should. -Moved the pilot ahead a bit. Have to get seats for those dudes. Kinda looked like lowriders when I started. -Called out the afterburnernodename to the model declared one so the tga isn't visable all of the time. -Added the HBs for the VertTail1 and 2 for the fuel tanks and added the fueltanks in the wings and HBs. Found out in research that the fuselage setup was correct but evened out the fuel qualities for the added wing tanks. -Wingtip vorticies moved. -What is this? What does it do? AIROPEN] SystemType=HIGHLIFT_DEVICE DeploymentMethod=AUTOMATIC_SPEED Setting[1].Angle=25 Setting[1].DeployValue=0 Setting[1].RetractValue=40 MaxDeflection=25.0 MinDeflection=0.0 ControlRate=0.4 AnimationID=3 - The wing leading edges seem to move on the throttle setting. They don't seem to move based on aero performance. In the data.ini....this is called out .. SystemName[002]=RightLEFlap But its not used in the control surfaces section on the ini. On the model its Left or RightSlat. Still have more work to do on it but for now it's my pet project.

1 pointanimate flaps on their own as Flap mode...then add a small invisible box etc... link flap to it and when you animate the "box" you can have it activate in take off mode seperately in a different anim slot key in game... you can then add as many things to one slot\ and key press as you like

This mod is dedicated to BPAO, nothing would have been possible without him. During the late 1970's, Iraq placed an order for a variant of the Mirage F1, designated as the Mirage F1EQ, which were specially modified for extended range to perform strike missions. Covered unit : 79th Squadron F1EQ-2 specifics: - R550, no R530, S530F, AUF2, CLB4, CLB8 - radio-altimeter - Doppler Radar - Inertial Navigation System - Radio-compass - Seat Mk4 - RWR BF - no AAR probe - Sycomor, Remora, Caiman, Syrel, Baz-AR, COR2, CC420 pods capability - Sycomor gondolas (P0 station, retrofit 1986-87) A big thank to all on Combatace and C6 forums that helped us solving issues we encountered. Any omission in credits is totally unwanted, if I forgot somebody, let me know, I will correct this. This addon is and will in all cases remain freeware. Released under CombatAce Fair-Use terms. Enjoy The Mirage F.1 Team -

Hello SF2 Flyers, For the post-WW2 prop. high-performance aircraft, several tweaks have been applied to the data inis, ranging from lift values for wings and wing tips to the engine section, prop. rpms, flight control section, gears section, flaps, also empty weight, inertia values, ceilings, engine sounds, rudder reversal effect fix, aileron/elevator/rudder sensitivity and movement, etc., depending on the type tweaked. Tweaks are not as extensive as for my FE2 work - but I've tried to get them into the "90% realistic enough" category for SF2 since these high-performance types are difficult to precision peg to within a km or two of historical stats., in contrast to the slower-moving FE2 types. Also included with this package are my minor data ini tweaks for several Flogger types, such as the MiG-23 S, early M, ML, P, MLA, late variant "98," and export variants MF and MS. Many thanks to the original FM modders for the late prop. types, including Baffmeister, Wrench, Cocas, MontyCZ, Charles of A-Team, Coupi, Paolopanz, and others I may not have mentioned here. The data inis are for SF2 installs only, tested at hard FM settings (no guarantees that the AI can land them nicely, although they fly them just fine). The Me109 G5 and H0 are variants on the stock G10 package provided on CombatAce (to install simply copy the relevant aircraft folders, rename as per my included folders, and drop in the relevant files). P-47 Sprint upgrades are variants on the ETO P-47D Bubbletop model and PTO P-47D Razorback model. Also included with this package are three sounds for a Pratt-Whitney, Centaurus, and Me109 either Benz or Hisso powered (sound works good for both). Links to the relevant aircraft that correspond with these data ini tweaks are located in the included "Read Me" file with the package. Please go through the Read Me for more thorough info. regarding these FM tweaks. Version 1.2 of this package includes the P-47N and improves the data inis for the other Jug and Superbolt variants. Happy flying, Von S DISCLAIMER: All Von S mods, for FE2, SF2, also WOFFue, are subject to the CombatAce "freeware" terms of agreement.
